Bright Horizons Wilmington is a bright, stimulating nursing and was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in November 2021.

The nursery works in conjunction with parents to enable regular updates and meetings. There are three different age-specific rooms to focus on the different age group abilities. The activities are set out daily and ICT resources, such as interactive computers and smart boards, are used to enhance learning and develop further skills. The Nursery has 5 rooms catering for children aged from 3 months to 4 years old.

Bright Horizons Wilmington completed a total full nursery refurbishment in 2019. Throughout the nursery, they have had all new flooring installed, new baby room layout all the rooms painted and refreshed.

The garden is split into two areas - one for the under twos and the other for the older children.

Staff are experienced in maintaining a day care environment that is friendly and respectful, at the same time as adhering to high standards of security and cleanliness.

Really pleased to be sending my son to Bright Horizons, Willmington. The team work hard to always provide me updates on my child's progress and I am never worried about the level of attention and care he will receive there! A massive thanks to the whole of the toddler team, who do such an amazing job.

Two of the staff members, in particular, are just wonderful! The joy they bring to my son is amazing. He looks forward to coming in and spending his days there. The pictures we get sent are amazing, to see his progress during the day and what mischief he gets up to. He is always happy and loves his

I was incredibly apprehensive about sending my daughter to nursery and going back to work after maternity leave. The team are wonderful, they really do go above and beyond, especially the manager and my daughter is thriving. I would definitely recommend to other parents.

My daughter has been coming to Wilmington, Bright Horizons, since April 2022. We were a bit reluctant to send her at first because it is one of the more expensive nurseries, however, we’ve been really pleased and our daughter loves it. The staff are always very welcoming and approachable, especially
two members of staff, in particular, they always have a smile on their faces. Even when they are super busy, they are happy to have a short conversation to let you know how the day went/is going. Our daughter has come on so much since April and a large part of that is because of her time at nursery.

The staff are always friendly, welcoming and warm towards the children. I am also greeted on arrival and picking up time, which I like too. I feel that my child is suitably stimulated and challenged. Her speech and understanding have come on leaps and bounds.

My daughter has been at Wilmington Nursery and Preschool, since she was 10 months old and now is in her last few months, before starting school. We have been so happy with the nursery and preschool and can't thank the staff enough for the fun learning, that she has. She absolutely loves it and I know
she will miss going, once starting school. Although there are members of staff in the nursery that she used to be with, she absolutely loves spending time with all the preschool team. My daughter's updates, for food and pictures, are shown on the app which is also great.

Such an amazing nursery, my little boy has attended since he was 15 months old. All the staff are amazing and have made him feel so loved in each and every room he has been in. The management team are so friendly and helpful, I love how they are always keeping us up to date with any changes at the nursery.
I wouldn’t ever send my child anywhere else he is so happy here and regularly talks about the staff there too. Honestly can not recommend this nursery enough.

My little boy is two and he has been going to bright horizons for about four months. We are delighted with how he has settled down in the nursery. They have been brilliant with potty training and everything has been very relaxed and no pressure, which is a big relief to all parents. The staff are amazing
and so enthusiastic, I love collecting him and hearing how his day has gone and seeing the app photos or videos.

I have a little boy who is three years old and he has been attending since he was sixteen months old and absolutely loves it. We have just upped his sessions as every day he asks to go. He loves it so much and the staff are so kind and caring. I also have a little girl who is eighteen months and she
is so settled which I was really worried about due to the effect of lockdown on her. However, the staff in baby room have been amazing at settling her in and making her feel comfortable and she now runs in. I could not recommend this nursery enough they always go above and beyond with both of my children.

Bright Horizons, Wilmington is a friendly, safe and welcoming nursery. We have never had to worry about leaving our son, as the quality of education and provision is excellent. My daughter loves going to pre-school at Bright Horizons in Wilmington. As first-time parents, we were nervous about putting our child into nursery for 4 long days a week. The nursery did 6 settling-in sessions which were brilliant as it meant our child got to ease into it gently. We needn't have worried though as our child absolutely loves going there and that's a credit
to the amazing staff who work there. They are all brilliant and you can see how much care and attention they give to the children. The catering is also fantastic and our child gets to try a varied diet. We couldn't recommend the nursery more highly.

The nursery is well managed and their ensure positive and respectful relationships with families and children. My daughter is well cared for and has lots of fun. Any concerns I have raised have been addressed straightaway.


If the menu could be revised to ensure they are appealing, meals to toddlers

that would be great. i.e, not a chickpea curry (three year olds don't like it!)

My daughter thoroughly enjoys going to Bright Horizons Wilmington. The staff are all brilliant and I feel comfortable leaving her there knowing she is safe and well looked after. When she first started the nursery in January 2020 the settling in sessions were great and helped to ease her in. It's great
to see her learning new things all the time, making new friends and setting her up well for school next year. I would definitely recommend the nursery to friends and family.

The nursery provides the perfect mix of fun and education. Our son thrives in the environment, noticed more so since the return from lockdown. Being able to learn and play with his friends in a safe, warm and engaging environment has helped him develop skills which will undoubtedly prepare him for school.
This is achieved by the amazing and tireless work and love from his teachers/key worker and all employees at Wilmington Day Nursery and Preschool. He absolutely loves attending and we are so pleased to see him progress. He has a varied and nutritious diet provided by the excellent catering staff there. The facilities are well thought out and the staff put real care and attention into making the rooms and outdoor areas engaging. As always the Staff/teachers make it and help Wilmington Day Nursery and Preschool stand out from its peers.

Lovely nursery. My son has been extremely happy there over the past year.
They have been very attentive to him and have taken his food allergies very seriously. All protocols are in place to ensure they are extremely aware of what he can and can't have.
Overall I am extremely pleased with his learning
and confidence.

Our now 4 year old spent 3 years at this nursery and our now 2 year old has just started. I can’t praise Bright Horizons Wilmington highly enough. Both of my boys have always been and still are very happy there, it has a close knit feel to it and the staff always make an effort to ensure that your child
is comfortable and happy in their setting. Our 2 year old only started 3 weeks ago and talks about the staff every day and how he’s excited to go there again.

My grandson started the nursery in January and the difference in his learning abilities now is amazing, he has come on hurdles in his development building, on his confidence and general learning. I love picking him up as he is always so happy the staff are extremely friendly and you can tell they genuinely
care.

Carrie has a wealth of knowledge in the childcare industry, having been with the company since 2008. She started her career as a Nursery Nurse and has worked her way up to Nursery Manager. Carrie enjoys supporting and coaching her staff team to ensure that they are delivering high-quality childcare. Her favourite thing about working with children is seeing them develop from babies to young people and being able to share their achievements with them.

Jade has been working for Bright Horizons since 2017, where she started as a Nursery Nurse. She continued my professional development by completing a degree in the early years of 2020.


It is her passion to develop confident practitioners in their own practice to ensure they are contributing positively to children’s learning and developmental needs.


The rewarding thing about having a career in the early years is knowing that all carers are making a positive difference in children’s and families lives.
