Bright Horizons Wilmington is a bright, stimulating nursing and was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in November 2021.

The nursery works in conjunction with parents to enable regular updates and meetings. There are three different age-specific rooms to focus on the different age group abilities. The activities are set out daily and ICT resources, such as interactive computers and smart boards, are used to enhance learning and develop further skills. The Nursery has 5 rooms catering for children aged from 3 months to 4 years old.

Bright Horizons Wilmington completed a total full nursery refurbishment in 2019. Throughout the nursery, they have had all new flooring installed, new baby room layout all the rooms painted and refreshed.

The garden is split into two areas - one for the under twos and the other for the older children.

Staff are experienced in maintaining a day care environment that is friendly and respectful, at the same time as adhering to high standards of security and cleanliness.

We are really happy with Willmington Nursery. The staff are excellent and so attentive. Our daughter has progressed so much with them. The activities are always interesting and planned for her development.

I love Bright Horizons, feels like family and my daughter is well-taken care of and all the team goes the extra mile to meet our needs. My daughter's food journey wasn't always easy but the nursery staff have always supported us so thank you all!

We are really happy with the nursery. Individual approach, staff are respectful and interested in each child in a safe environment. There is a big garden with lots of opportunities for the kids to play and engage.

My child is very happy at Bright Horizons. Management is helpful and always willing to help and accommodate where possible. The staff in class are great. The making of the new Oak class has been a highlight for our while, who enjoys learning in this environment. We feel it is very beneficial for the
kids to have this class as a stepping stone to school.

I absolutely love everything about this nursery, my daughter has grown leaps and bounds, the staff are incredible, not only great at their job, but just so genuinely loving and caring with the children. They put my mind at ease and made my transition back to work so much easier. Putting my daughter

My child has a great time at preschool and is clearly making progress. There are a wide range of activities and the staff are all wonderful. The food is varied and nutritious. Outdoor play is encouraged and children are taught to try new things. Confidence, resilience and social skills are developed.

Really friendly team. Supportive with my little one. Amazing app which is updated regularly which tells us how much she’s eaten and slept. Team very helpful.
Settling in process for full days could be improved as currently only up to 3-hour settle session; a full day is up to 10 hours so we opted
to do some half days before starting full days.

We couldn’t be happier with Bright Horizons and all of the staff we have met. Our daughter changing from one nursery to another was a worry for us as she had just settled, but she has settled in so quickly and so well, we are over the moon.

Would 100% recommend. The management try so hard to keep the nursery looking fantastic and up-to-date with important dates and festivals. The staff really care about the children and there is a wonderful atmosphere in the preschool room. The new oak room is outstanding. The setup is perfect and so well

My daughter has settled into Wilmington really well. We were worried about leaving her at six months old but she is thriving! The girls in the room, as well as the whole team, have been amazing. They keep you well informed at handover as well as on the app with photos.
Couldn't recommend it more!

My daughter has been at Bright Horizons Wilmington Day Nursery and Preschool for over two years and loves it. She has improved so much with her confidence and walks in so happily now. The staff have been amazing in helping her hit important milestones and have genuine pride when hitting these achievements.
She happily takes part in all activities and it seems like the activities are varied and learning through all ways of play. She gets a good varied diet and it helped her become more adventurous in trying new foods at home.
I was more than happy to send my second child here, he has been going for a few months now and walks in happily. We are updated on their progress through the app and are sent lots of pictures/videos of their day. I'm more than happy for my children to be cared for by such a wonderful team.

Lovely staff. Really make a great effort in filling you in on your child's day and any cute, interesting or funny things they may have done. My little one started at 9 months old and used to cry every day (not because of the nursery, but just because she wasn't used to not being with us). The staff
would always reassure me and were happy to post update photos of her during those difficult early days. She is 12 months old now and loves it and we love the photo updates we get of our daughter's activities. Couldn't be happier with the staff in the 12-18month old baby room. Even the chef is very friendly, approachable and made us feel at ease (our daughter has allergies), so this was quite important too.

This is a fantastic nursery. Our daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 14 months old and is 3.5yrs old now. She absolutely loves nursery and skips in every morning with a smile on her face! Our son also recently started the nursery at 12 months old and has now settled in really well
and enjoys being there too. We never worry about the children when they are at nursery and have the comfort that they are both in safe hands. The staff are brilliant and always go the extra mile. Would highly recommend it.

Carrie has a wealth of knowledge in the childcare industry, having been with the company since 2008. She started her career as a Nursery Nurse and has worked her way up to Nursery Manager. Carrie enjoys supporting and coaching her staff team to ensure that they are delivering high-quality childcare. Her favourite thing about working with children is seeing them develop from babies to young people and being able to share their achievements with them.

Jade has been working for Bright Horizons since 2017, where she started as a Nursery Nurse. She continued my professional development by completing a degree in the early years of 2020.


It is her passion to develop confident practitioners in their own practice to ensure they are contributing positively to children’s learning and developmental needs.
