Tops Day Nurseries: Newport Nursery

I would highly recommend Tops nursery. Although my little girl hasn’t attended for the last few months due to the covid 19 pandemic, staff have kept in contact and helped with a return date. She last attended in November, and the staff were fantastic at encouraging her and helping her progress.

The staff are incredibly lovely and patient with the babies. I have full confidence in them when I leave my little one in the mornings. Great learning place. I couldn’t have chosen a better nursery and really recommend it.

My son has been attending Tops Day Nurseries: Newport Nursery for eight months and we couldn't be happier. He was just twelve months when starting and had spent six months of his life in lockdown, so he was only used to myself, his dad and sister! So going to nursery was a big step for him and us! Despite the fact he is our second child, we both felt very emotional about him starting nursery, possibly due to spending every day together as a little family bubble. Tops Day Nurseries: Newport Nursery were just fantastic. They have a wonderful, caring and non invasive approach to the children, remaining very child focused at all times. Their communication with us as parents is really positive. When he first started I would call a couple of times a day to see how he was, I still sometimes do that now and it's never too much trouble. They engage with parents on drop off and pick up as well as updating the app daily with sleep, times, bottles, food intake and particular observations. They also upload lots of observations which we love! Highly recommend!

An amazing setting that goes above and beyond to ensure children are learning in a fun way. All staff are caring and very attentive. My son is soon to be also attending once I return to work from maternity and I am already confident he will settle in well at the nursery.

My son attends Tops Day Nurseries: Newport Nursery and I honestly couldn’t think of a better nursery! They are absolutely fantastic, my son has good relationships with the teachers and is always happy to attend playschool. They have worked hard to provide a high level of care throughout the pandemic, I’m a key worker and my son has been able to attend the whole way through and I can see they have maintained a good level of hygiene and always still seem so happy when they answer the door. The staff are so friendly, kind and caring. They leave regular comments and photos on the app and it’s lovely to see throughout the day updates of your child enjoying themselves at playschool and learning so much too. They are a fantastic team and feel very grateful for my son attending such a lovely nursery.

I moved down from London to the Isle of Wight with my three-year-old son during the lockdown. I was so so worried about getting my son settled in a nursery but Tops Day Nurseries: Newport Nursery made it the easiest transition. My son absolutely loves going to nursery and with the extra days at fifty per cent off it really does accommodate parents who having fluctuating shift patterns. Tops Day Nurseries: Newport Nursery has an organised, informative but also caring approach. I can contact them at any time with a query and all colleagues are warm and persona. They provide all the necessary information required to ensure the best care for the children. I really love the food choices too and I am delighted at the approach to the menu. My child loves nursery and I’m so glad it has remained open and available to him throughout the pandemic, as this is the only contact he has with the rest of the world, so it’s essential! I know he loves to explore, draw, paint, play and learn and I can see him bringing his new knowledge home with him which is wonderful. I know he has good relationships with those who look after him and seeks them for comfort if he’s not feeling one hundred per cent. I was very nervous about sending our little one to nursery as he has been with us every day for three and half years, bar a few months at a different nursery, which we didn't feel completely content with, in the end. However, to prep him ready for school we went to look at Tops Day Nurseries: Newport Nursery after hearing and seeing so many good things. Throughout the pandemic, it was nice that we could virtually view the setting on Facebook from the staff video's and gain more information before visiting. The nursery itself is amazing with all the activities, homely environment and different set up's for the children to play with. The staff are all very welcoming, polite and understanding. Our child has come on leaps and bounds we feel since joining and enjoys it thoroughly! I'd highly recommend this nursery to everyone. Both my kids have attended Tops Day Nursery, the older one blossomed like a flower overnight, the staff and the manager have been superb. My little boy has been with the nursery for nearly 18 months, he has extra needs and the nursery have been so person-centered they have done beyond what they are expected to do. They always put his comfort, development and wellbeing at the centre of everything they do. I couldn't thank them enough even if we tried. My 2 will continue to attend the nursery during the half terms. In short, it is a brilliant nursery and worth every penny you spend, no challenges are too big or small to solve.

As a parent, I would not wish for my Daughter to be anywhere else. Safe, fun and perfect.

My little girl went to Tops at the age of 10-months and attended full-time until she started school this September. I honestly cannot rate this nursery enough. I have always worked full-time and never worried about how she was doing as I knew the staff was looking after her well. She learnt lots and developed really well. The staff are all amazing, attentive and communication with parents is excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to any parent!

The care and attention, even at times when he is unsettled, means I can go to work and rest assure that I may not get a call to pick him up.

I highly recommend Tops nursery. Every need of the child (and the parent) is catered for where possible. They are an exceptionally professional, hardworking and committed team. They have been absolute troupers throughout Covid19, and I would expect nothing less from them as they are a truly caring, competent and dedicated team that works together for the good of everybody. Absolutely Outstanding. I’m devastated my four-years-old has to leave for big school now!

My daughter started with Tops Day: Newport back in February this year, she attended for 2-months before the country went into lockdown, and we were forced to stay at home. For those 2-months, she settled in so well and had a lot of fun. She had a couple of settle sessions before joining for full days and was naturally a little nervous, however, the wonderful staff made her feel so at ease! They cuddled her and played with her, to the point where we’d go to pick her up at the end of the day, and she wouldn’t want to leave! Since lockdown has eased and it became time to return to the nursery, I was a little worried about how she would be going back. 5-months is a long time to be away from what was a familiar setting, and she has spent that time with mummy every day. However, yet again, the staff have made it very comfortable and fun for her, and I have every faith in them! It is such a beautiful, happy setting, and everyone is more than lovely! They are very hardworking and just utterly fabulous!

I couldn't recommend Tops enough!

The rooms are a nice place to be, kids have plenty of space outside to play, which is lovely, as they can choose to be indoors or out.

My older son went to Tops and loved it, and my daughter started in the baby room and is just about to start pre-school, she loves it too. The staff are faultless in their diligence and care, both to the child and the parent. Staff are approachable and always go the extra mile. My daughter's transition from the two's room to preschool has been handled very well, and I'm confident she will love preschool as much as the other two rooms.

The nursery is quick to contact me if he's had an incident, so I know he's well looked after, but also allowed to explore and learn from his mistakes, which I actively encourage.

My son absolutely loves it. He is happy going in every day and comes home happy. Since we started meals at the nursery, he seems to like different foods and eats it all. It is nice for kids to try something else, and also it gives parents the idea of meals at home as well. I am very happy with the service I receive, and I know my son is happy and safe. It is an amazing place, although I do miss going into the classrooms and seeing other children - meeting my son's friends etc. I just hope one day you will do the forest school again, as he really enjoyed it.
