Tops Day Nursery Newport, located at Isle of Wight College, provides high-quality early education and care for children aged from three months to preschool. The purpose-built, eco-friendly nursery features an open-plan environment with a fresh, natural focus, creating a calm and engaging space where children can learn, play and develop.

As part of a wider group, Tops Day Nurseries is committed to being one of the most eco-sustainable childcare providers in the UK. Environmental responsibility is embedded into everyday practice, with children and staff encouraged to reduce, reuse and recycle as part of their daily routines.

The nursery offers a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that supports children from infancy through to school age. During school holidays, a Hi5’s Holiday Club is available for children aged four to seven. Opening hours run from 6am to 8pm, subject to demand, providing flexibility for busy families.

A wide range of extracurricular activities is offered to enrich children’s experiences, including Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, yoga, meditation, Boogie Mites, Rugby Rangers and supervised tooth brushing, supporting both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Strong partnerships with families are a key focus, and parents and carers are always welcome to get in touch to discuss their child’s progress and daily experiences.

Across the group, a no-added sugar menu helps promote healthy eating habits from an early age.
Flexible childcare packages are also available, ranging from a Basic Funding Package with no mandatory extra costs to full-time options that include meals, activities and daily essentials, allowing families to choose the level of support that best suits their needs.

My son really enjoys nursery, since starting he has learnt so much and is so well cared for there. I like the wide range of activities he does, the friendly staff and the records of what he does. They take good care of him and his special dietary requirements, they never make me feel like anything is
too much trouble and show so much care for my son. I would highly recommend to anyone that has use childcare.

I have two children who attend of different ages and both thoroughly enjoy their time there in fact so much so I struggle to get them out the door at home time. Their mobility, speech and interaction with other children has excelled since coming to this nursery. I couldn't be happier and neither could
my little ones.

My son has been in Tops since he was ten months old and it highly benefits him because of the little boy he's become now at two and a half. The staff are really good at Tops and very supportive. They do lots of different activities and have a good routined schedule. The e log app is amazing to receive
updates of your childs day when you're at work. They have a huge garden with lots of toys outside for them to play. My son enjoys going to nursery apart from the odd time he cries but stops when I leave! He has made friends which is great for his social skills. The nursery also has a pre school which is great and one less thing to have to think about. I highly recommend Tops!

My eldest son joined Tops Newport back in 2009 and loved everyday there up until he started school. My youngest is now at Tops Newport and has the most amazing time. The staff are excellent with the children and have always had great communication with me. My children have gained so much and I can't
thank the staff enough for what they do.
