My son has attended Toad Hall since he was 18 months old (2.5 years). He has spent most of his life here, the fabulous team of staff have helped him develop as a person and are always teaching him new things. My son has grown to be very fond of everyone and both him and myself will miss Toad Hall a
great deal. I couldn’t recommend a better nursery to care for my son. Thank you Toad Hall it’s been a pleasure!

Our daughter has been attending Toad Hall Nursery Watford for over a year now and she has absolutely loved her time at the nursery. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. The nursery has really good facilities and the children get involved with a range of great activities.

I have been very impressed with Toad Hall Nursery Watford. Every parent worries about leaving their child for the first time but I have always felt secure knowing that my daughter is having a great day at nursery. She is very fond of her keyworker and she does so many fun activities. She has really
developed with her speech and learning and I have always found the management approachable and supportive of our needs.

The staff at Toad Hall are so genuinely caring. They take such a lovely interest in your child.
The children do great activities each day such as singing and dancing. They serve a great range of recipes so you know your little one will be getting lots of fruit and veg and they definitely won't end
up being fussy eaters! They've really helped develop my daughter's skills such as eating with a knife and fork.
My daughter comes back from nursery absolutely shattered from all the fun she's been having all day and loves going back each time.

I've been to different nurseries looking for a great outdoor space and reasonably clean classroom. Toad Hall ticks the boxes, and more so after the renovation of the main building. My daughter started there when she was about 2 and a half years old. She didn't talk that time, only mumbled, but after
a month her speech developed quickly. After 3 months she's a chatterbox. The staff are nice and really dedicated in looking after the kids. They always have exciting activities every week. My daughter until now looks forward to going to her so called "school" every day. No tears ever since. Makes me comfortable and worry-free going to work.

Both my children have attended Toad Hall, my son is now at school, but my daughter is still there. She loves it, as do I. The staff are all wonderful, they love the children & are very caring, which is what I want when I cannot be there myself.
The food is good & very healthy. Lovely outside space
& always lots going on for the children to get involved in. I cannot recommend highly enough.

A friendly, supportive and nurturing environment for children. A balanced range of activities is offered and changes frequently. Food is great, such a healthy mix of meals and snacks. I would certainly recommend it.

As a working mum, I often struggle with juggling a lot of things, and today was one of those days. It was World Book Day, and you could send your child in dressed up as a character - I forgot. At drop off - the staff were all dressed up (one had an amazing Cat in the Hat costume), and said to me not
to worry. They said they would find my daughter an outfit to wear, and indeed they did! I have no hesitation in leaving my daughter at nursery - all the staff are friendly, and enthusiastic in what they do. They also provide wide ranging activities for children to do. My 2 year old is very excited about a train trip tomorrow.

I have a daughter with special needs and before she started this nursery she wasn't feeding herself or walking with her walker. Within a month of being within this setting she is not only walking but a professional runner with her walker and feeding herself at every meal time! (A very messy situation)
she has become more independent and babbles a lot more (she is also pretty much non verbal). The staff have been amazing with supporting me and my daughter with meetings about her development and what I would expect from them, also bringing outside intervention such as speech and physio in to the setting.
With out there help I feel that I would still be at the stand still point that we was in for months.
The staff and management always have a smile on their faces and make you feel welcome.

We are happy with the way the kids are taken care of in the nursery. The key workers are good and instrumental in the upbringing of each kid. They cultivate the good habits and discipline to kids in their daily routines while eating, teaching through EYFS. My daughter is happy to go to the nursery every
day and she enjoys her time there. So we are satisfied.

My daughter absolutely loves her time at Toad Hall, Hempstead Road and as her parent I know she is well looked after while I work.
My daughter really enjoys all the activities her class does and has a lovely relationship with the staff.
The staff are first class, kind and professional. They also
really show an interest in each family member, not just the nursery pupils.
A nursery I highly recommend!

My daughter has been going to Toad Hall since she was 10 months old. She's now 3 and a half, from day one the staff have been fantastic with her. I've always felt comfortable leaving her there as I know the staff give her and the other children lots of attention. The activities they provide for the
children are brilliant, from music lessons, football practice to Spanish lessons.

My son has been at the nursery for almost 2 years and he absolutely loves it. They have a wide variety of activities available to learn through play which includes Spanish lessons; lots of time outside in the garden as well as an external football coach once a week in the term time. They have pets at
the nursery which really has encouraged him to be even more caring. The group work they do together is lovely and i always attend the sessions where parents are invited for the afternoon, its wonderful to see them all together enjoying themselves.
The food available is all made on site, the variety is fantastic and my son always enjoys telling me what hes enjoyed each day. It really supports our healthy eating outside of the nursery.


All the staff are very friendly and helpful, they know every child's name including the manager who is also very hands on in the day to day running. I would highly recommend this nursery to my friends and family and should my own family expand in the future, I will be in contact straight away to secure a plan.

My name is Sam Penn and I have been working in childcare since 2007 I hold a Level 3 in Childcare and Education Qualification. I am very passionate about childcare and my role. Every day is different and brings new challenges and experiences for myself and the children in my care.


I consider it to be essential that myself and my team work in partnership with you, as the parent or carer of your child. We hope that we can demonstrate our vision and approach to childcare by welcoming you to our nursery.
