Lime Grove Day Nursery (Hemel Hempstead)

Our daughter attended Lime Grove from age 2-4 and we have nothing but positive things to say from our time there. The nursery doesn't just tick boxes, their care and attention to detail in all areas is exemplary. During some of the most stressful times, our daughter was so well supported by all staff but especially her key workers who particularly are still very much remembered by all of us. The environment was lovely and I never worried about dropping our daughter off, even on those tricky mornings. In pre-school, we felt our daughter was allowed to enjoy herself thoroughly with plenty of play, but she was also very well prepared for starting school through time spent sitting at tables and on the carpet and starting simple phonics and maths. The children were supported in making strong friendships and these have carried on, despite friends attending different schools.

I have and will continue to recommend Lime Grove to friends with children.

Our two boys have settled very well at Lime Grove Day Nursery thanks to their key workers and other staff that have made them feel welcome and secure. Being able to have so much time in the garden is a huge benefit of Lime Grove.

My daughter has attended Lime Grove since September 2020 when she was ten months old. Now at the age of three, she is in her fourth and final room at Lime Grove, pre-school! I do not think she'd be the kind-hearted, outgoing and funny girl that she is if it had not been for her time at Lime Grove. All the staff have been fantastic, both the ladies in the rooms and those at the front desk and kitchen. I could not have been happier with my choice to send my daughter to Lime Grove and I will be sad when it is time for her to leave.

Marvellous team. Our son is always happy to go to nursery. In the beginning, it was difficult for our boy to get used to it because he only knew his mum and dad, but the team made a wonderful job with him. I can't explain how happy I am when I see his face (of true happiness) when I pick him up. I think it is the best nursery I could have chosen.

Wow, Lime Grove is a unique place. You really feel like family. Everyone is so kind, caring and friendly, and you feel part of something very special. Lime Grove has been an incredible support for our family. We have had a fantastic experience for both of our children. Every member of staff does such an amazing job and always goes above and beyond. Both of our children have been very settled here, and we will miss it very much. The setting is full of lots of exciting toys, lots of lovely space for the children to play, and staff that really love and engage with the children. The staff plan exciting activities to really develop the children and support their learning. The food provided is fresh, healthy and nutritious. Our children have thrived here, and we are so grateful Lime Grove has given them a head start in life. What an incredible journey it has been. Thank you all!

Great place for your child/children. Majority of the staff are amazing. It really puts you at ease at drop offs, especially when it's your first child. Kids are never bored. Every week there's something new. There's a lot of amazing outdoor space. The nursery is clean and the food is healthy and of great quality. I personally like that everything is provided by the nursery (e.g. nappies, formula, sun cream). Highly recommended!

My child has been at the nursery for 9 months now starting in the baby room where the care was just wonderful. All the staff were really nurturing and my daughter felt comfortable and settled quite quickly. Now in the next room I've already seen how much she's learning! It's great to see her development and I love the photos and observations we get sent. Really lovely staff and any issues get dealt with in a professional manner. My daughter's key workers have been very knowledgeable and kind, she loves going to nursery! I'd definitely recommend Lime Grove Day Nursery (Hemel Hempstead) to others!

The team at Lime Grove are so kind and always friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is always great, my daughter tells me. I never have any worries when I leave her to go to work. If I can't be with her, I know she's in safe hands.

Our children have been at Lime Grove for over five years now. Our children have developed so much in their time here. The staff are all incredible and caring and really take their time to nurture all of the children. We would thoroughly recommend Lime Grove to anyone needing child care.

My child has attended the nursery from fifteen months old through to preschool. The care and attention to early years learning and development have been excellent, tailoring to her needs and interests whilst ensuring the areas requiring development are gently encouraged. The daily feedback after each session from the staff is reassuring and informative. Issues that are more sensitive in nature are dealt with professionally and with compassion. From the welcome at reception each morning through to the update photos and posts issued throughout the day I know my child is in an environment where she is cared for and respected and one where she feels safe in. The transitions from room to room and indeed with the primary schools at preschool level are fantastic and fill the gaps that as a first time parent I didn't know existed. They support the entire family network and have been part of the village that raised my children.

My child has been here for the last 18 months, he’s thoroughly enjoyed his time here. All staff are very friendly and amazing and have settled my child into nursery well. The rooms themselves and outside space is really well maintained with alot to do. My child comes out with a big smile on his face so I know he’s had the best day!

Our daughter attended Lime Grove for her pre-school year and had a wonderful time. Despite joining during Covid restrictions, the staff managed the settling in process exceptionally well so that she was quickly very happy going in each day. The management team and staff did a great job of running the nursery through the pandemic whilst maintaining excellent teaching and pastoral care. The friendly staff got to know our daughter really well and supported her learning by following her interests. Thank you for caring for her with so much kindness over the past year; we can't recommend Lime Grove enough!

My son had been attending Lime Grove Nursery in Hemel Hempstead since he was a baby. After 4 years with the nursery, he graduated this year. We want to say a big thank you to Lime Grove for the excellent care they have provided and their love and dedication to the development of my child. They exceeded our expectation in all aspects. I would highly recommend this nursery for parents looking for child care. Our son loves this nursery and already misses it so much!

My son has attended Lime Grove nursery for 3 years and we were very pleased with the nursery. I was always confident that my son is in a safe and happy place and this is because the nursery staff are simply outstanding. They are very friendly, warm and caring with the children and my son always came home happy and telling us all the things he learned and how much he played with his friends. The nursery has plenty of toys and modern learning facilities and the outside area has a great space to play in and run around (my son really enjoyed the big wooden 'pirate ship' in the garden). I owe a big thank you to the Lime Grove staff - to the teachers for being so loving and good at what they do, to the cooks for the delicious meals, to the management and the admin team for being so professional and helpful. I highly recommend Lime Grove Nursery!

Our daughter attended Lime Grove from the age of one through to Pre-school. We have been extremely overwhelmed by the care she has received throughout her time here. The room teams have supported her in all aspects of academic, personal, and social development and often going the extra mile to create personalised activities. Which has helped boost her confidence. The administrative team is always approachable and understanding and we can only sing their praises.

We are very happy with their service. They have been patient with us due to being deaf. They also have given us extra help with the form etc because our 1st language is British Sign Language. They have been amazing to our kids. They love to go there every time we take them. They looked after them very well. But it would be nice if they provide a British Sign Language interpreter for parents evening. They observe our kids with phonic speech because we can't hear or able to help them due to being deaf.

Both of our children currently attend Lime Grove Day Nursery. They have both been with the nursery since they turned 1 and we have been so happy with the care that they have received. In particular, all of the staff are so warm and caring. Both my sons have built great 1 on 1 relationship with the staff and love coming in on a daily basis. In comparison to other nurseries not only is the care outstanding but the activities and food provided to the children goes above and beyond what I have seen elsewhere.
