Lime Grove Day Nursery is a purpose-built nursery offering high-quality care and education to children aged six weeks to five years. Friendly and well-established, Lime Grove provides a happy, sociable environment where individual care is prioritised.

Outside is a large, fully enclosed and well-equipped garden with a nature area to encourage wild life, a playhouse, climbing frames, a vegetable garden and a restful sensory area. Understanding the significance of outdoor play, the nursery ensures daily access to this space.

The nursery is proud to have achieved an Eco Schools Green Flag Award.

Lime Grove also offer the extracurricular activity of Tiny Mites every Friday between 10am and 11am.

My son loves Lime Grove. He comes home full of smiles, well fed and messy from all his play activities. I know, therefore, that he has had a lot of fun.
He started in caterpillars where they took great care of him but I have really noticed his development since he moved to the Ladybirds room.
His
communication skills, sounds and now saying single words have come on tremendously as has his understanding of what is being said to him.
The ladybird ladies all take really good care of him and it is a credit to them all that my son will happily interact with all of them. It is a real comfort to know that his care and happiness is their number one concern.

From the moment we looked around we have been very happy with the nursery. The communication from staff and the facilities are outstanding. Our daughter has settled in beautifully and we can tell enjoys it there everyday!

My son has been at Lime Grove Day Nursery (Hemel Hempstead) for nearly 3 years. I have always been happy with how is cared for there. The staff are caring and knowledgeable. The facilities at the nursery are great, especially the garden. The food they serve has a great variety and my son always enjoys
the meals. I have been so impressed with the learning and activities the staff do with the children. He is ready for school thanks to their valuable work and care. I would recommend Lime Grove Day Nursery (Hemel Hempstead) to my friends and family without hesitation.

Our son felt very welcomed when he started here at the age of 2 years, more so than his previous nursery, even though the group of children is quite large. The staff in the nursery rooms and management/reception were very kind and always helpful. The Ofsted rating this nursery receives (best possible
rating) is definitely a good reflection on how they operate. Our son has developed significantly during his time at this nursery. We would very much recommend this nursery.

I highly recommend Lime Grove. All of the staff, especially my son's key worker, have gone out of their way to make us both feel welcome and help us settle in. They tailor the activities to include things he particularly enjoys and I enjoy the regular photo updates. I see him develop every day, becoming

We're so happy with Lime Grove Day Nursery (Hemel Hempstead), where our daughter started about 2 months ago. The staff were great at helping her (and us!) through the difficult settling in period and now she loves her time there. Our daughter particularly enjoys the fresh food made on site.
It's also
great how friendly all the staff are, they're always happy to talk about anything related to our daughter and her care.

Both my children have attended Lime Grove. The staff are friendly and welcoming and ensured both of my children settled in well and were happy. The facilities are great and the menus are nutritious, varied and yummy! Most importantly, both children enjoyed/are enjoying their time here and look forward
to their time here. I would definitely recommend.

I am very pleased that we use Lime Grove Day Nursery (Hemel Hempstead). I have a third child who is going to this nursery. When we found this nursery for our first child, we had no doubts that this was the best choice of nursery and I never feel differently. Of course, there are some parts to improve
(no-one is perfect as I always say) but overall this nursery is really really SUPER! Children could not have any better.

Cannot speak highly enough of this nursery. My eldest is just about to leave after 3 years. She's learned and grown so much. Staff are brilliant. Care is superb and they have certainly tried to accommodate our wishes. The only drawback is the change in menu.

Overall, my daughter is happy in the baby room and always has a smile for staff. Lack of sleep is an issue as there is no separate sleeping area so my daughter sleeps 35-40 mins only. I wonder if more can be done to get her back to sleep when she wakes up - rocking?


Staff are more attentive and my

daughter engages well with them, making me happy to leave her. All food requirements are well met away from main menu. Sensory play options keep her entertained.

Since placing my child into this nursery it has been a pleasant experience and my child has now settled in.
The staff have been fully supportive and have developed key tasks to help assist my child to settle in, it worked excellently.
The staff are friendly and accommodating, my child feels reassured
and loves her time in particular with her key worker.
Office and facilities are clean and hazard free.
Office admin and response has been satisfactory but sometimes needs prompting in replying with information for my requests.

My daughter had a few settling in sessions to prepare her for nursery.


The team in the baby room asked lots of questions to understand my daughter better. She experienced settling sessions at different times of the day so the team could understand how she likes to go to sleep and how she feeds. I

thought this process was very thorough and put my mind at ease.


The team are friendly, approachable and show a huge amount of care for the babies they look after.

The nursery is an amazing place for our daughter.
All the staff are very warm and attentive but her key worker is the best.
There isn't anything that she isn't willing to try and incorporate to make her day better and more like what we strive for at home.
I have never seen an upset child that's not
being cuddled and comforted, as a mum, this was one of my biggest fears.
The food is amazing (I think our girl eats it all!) and the updates with their weekly activities really make us feel like we're also involved.
I can't wait to see her progress through the different rooms.
I would recommend Lime Grove to anyone!

I find the nursery always welcoming and my daughter is always talking at the end of the day telling me how much fun she has had. My overall view of the nursery is a positive one although as she has got towards leaving, I feel she could have been prepared for school a little better and/or pushed academically
a little more.

Our son joined Lime Grove in February 2017, and we are absolutely delighted with the nursery. It is a lovely building; very clean, with large rooms for the children to having plenty of space to play and learn.


Our son was initially placed into the baby room, and, at first, struggled being away from

Mummy. During this time, the nursery staff were amazing; very patient and loving with him, offering lots of cuddles until he settled down, and was happy to go and play with his new friends. They were also extremely kind to me, reassuring me that he was settling in, but that it was absolutely fine to phone and check on him throughout the day.


Our son is now happy and tear-free at drop off; I have no doubt that this is because of the kindness and patience of the staff, as well as all the fun activities that he plays throughout the day. I am completely satisfied that he is cared for in a safe, secure, loving and fun environment by professional staff that are incredibly friendly and approachable.

My daughter currently attends this nursery, and my son attended previously. Both have thrived and thoroughly enjoyed every day at the nursery. The staff are amazing here. So friendly and dedicated.
My children adore the staff and have built strong relationships with their key workers and other workers
in their room. The facilities and equipment are outstanding and the food is tasty and nutritious.
I have never had to worry about my children at the nursery as I know they are safe, well cared for and happy. I have no hesitation in recommending this well run, friendly nursery. THANK YOU LIME GROVE!

Kelly is the Manager of Lime Grove Day Nursery in Hemel Hempstead and has a wealth of experience, having worked at Childbase for 22 years. Kelly has a Level 3 qualification in their Early Years.


What is your favourite part of working at Lime Grove?
I would say our garden is my favourite feature - people are often 'wowed' by it as they don’t expect it to be so big. Each room has its own free-flow garden which is amazing and another great space for the children.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I'm very proud of my team's approach and the amazing bonds that they form with their key children and families.
