I would highly recommend Kinders Mill Day nursery as the staff are always helpful, really friendly and easy to contact.


I know when I leave my child they are happy and have had a day full of lots of learning, playing and education.

The staff at Kinders Mill go above and beyond, my daughter is so happy and always telling me all the new things she learns and all the creative things they do. Both the Preschool team and Hedgehogs team are friendly and approachable with any concerns.

The staff were exceptional at helping our son settle in and made us feel welcome from the first time we came to visit.

My son has been at Kinders Mill since we moved to Hitchin almost 3 years ago - he has grown up there. The staff are lovely, they do a wide range of exciting activities with the children and my son is always coming home full of excitement at what he has done during the day. The mixed age groups were
great when he was small and he is now really enjoying the more "formal" setting in Little Owls where he's had fun with French and swimming lessons. I would recommend Kinders Mill to anyone looking for a nursery in Hitchin.

I have two daughters currently at Kinders Mill (one in the nursery, one in the pre-school). Both girls are very happy here - the mixed age rooms give them a chance to learn about interacting with older and younger children, they eat all the food, they have so many opportunities to get messy, and everything
looks like a lot of good fun! But of all the great things about this nursery, the love and care of the members of staff here has been fantastic. They really take notice of the children and help them to grow. My girls are happy and confident and have so many fun and exciting things to do each day. My eldest has especially loved the swimming and French lessons in the preschool. They are currently in the process of updating all the rooms and toys in the main building and the new equipment looks great. Having children in nursery is an expensive business but the richness, variety and care they receive here makes it worth it. I would definitely recommend this nursery to others.

Our son has been attending Kinders Mill for 2 days a week since spring 2015 and he loves it. The staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful. I really like that the nursery rooms are made up of mixed ages (3 months to 3 years) so he has always been used to mixing with younger and older children.


The

activities they do seem to be engaging and we can follow observations via an online portal.

We have used Kinders Mill Nursery from 2012 until Christmas 2016. Both my children have loved it there, gaining confidence, social skills, making friends and enjoying the nursery's amazing food.


The staff are helpful, kind, supportive and I could not fault them. We have had to say goodbye due to

changes in our work situation and are sad to leave.


Should we decide on baby number 3, I would not hesitate in contacting Kinders Mill.

I would heartily recommend Kinder's Mill to anyone. My son is still there and my daughter just finished at the pre-school. Both spaces are nurturing, friendly, welcoming and active. Both of my children absolutely love/d coming here, and my daughter was very sad to leave. Every day there are new and
exciting things to keep the children stimulated, as well as a great selection of books if they want a calm area to read.


The staff all love their job - it never seemed to me, in 2 years of drop offs and pick ups, that it was just a job to any of them. And the children love their carers.


An upset child is never left for long, and disagreements between children are dealt with gently and effectively.


My daughter was ready for school when she left the preschool and I put a lot of that down to the initial learning at KM. They are introduced to some Jolly Phonics and other, basic, concepts, to prepare them. This, along with French and swimming lessons, which she loved, made her time there such a happy one.

We have been nothing but happy with Kinders Mill. My older son had two great years there, and my two year old daughter has been attending Kinders Mill for 18 months now. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, they always have time to cuddle her if she gets upset at drop-off, and they all have
time to talk you through their day at pick-up. The activities are fun and varied, the food is great and I really like the fact that they have mixed age group rooms. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My 2 year old attends Kinders Mill Day Nursery as did my older son. I love Kinders Mill Day Nursery for lots of reasons. The staff are very friendly and caring. They know the names of all of the children even if they are not in their room. We are always warmly welcomed every morning and if my son gets
upset when I am leaving they pick him up, cuddle him and take him off to do an activity or wave at me out of the window. The food always smells delicious and every day my son 'eats it all up' and often has seconds! There are loads of different activities for them to do every day and this has helped massively with his development. I get a detailed description of what he has been doing every day and there is also an online learning journey with photos. I would highly recommend this nursery

My daughter has been attending Kinder's Mill Day Nursery for nearly a year now and I have to say it really is a lovely day nursery. My daughter is particularly shy (until she comes out her shell of course) and all the carers have been really considerate of her particular traits. It is always a lovely,
fun-filled atmosphere whenever I drop her off / pick her up and she really enjoys Kinder's Mill which makes my heart happy. If you're looking for a day nursery I would highly recommend Kinder's Mill Day Nursery.

We are extremely happy with Kinder's Mill Day Nursery our child has been going there for over two years and is happy and sociable - we attribute this to the mixed-age rooms (Otters, Hedgehogs and Squirrels) where babies learn from toddlers and toddlers, in turn, learn to be gentle and considerate of
the smaller children. We wish they still used the Naty eco-friendly nappies, though, which seemed to have stopped being used. Kinders Mill Day Nursery staff are generally informative about the day's activities and will give a courtesy call to let us know if there's been even a minor bump in the playground! There's not a huge amount of outdoor space, but they have the play barn to make up for it!

Kinders Mill is an exceptional nursery / pre-school. My son has been attending for a couple of years now in both the nursery and preschool settings and we absolutely cannot praise it highly enough.


My son looks forward to going, has built up a lovely bond with the staff and other children and amongst

other activities adores his French and swimming lessons. He also eats their food, which is a huge relief, given how picky he is at home!


The staff genuinely seem to care about the welfare and happiness of the children, for example, the advice they have given us regarding potty training has been invaluable.


We will be sad to leave when my son starts school, he has thrived at Kinders Mill.

Kinders Mill Day Nursery has proved time and again over the course of the last year that it is an exceptional nursery. My son enjoys his time there and often comes home excited to talk about his day. His development since starting at Kinders Mill Day Nursery has been a joy to behold and I have no doubt
that it is down to the care and attention that all of the staff offer him.


All of his needs are catered for including vegetarian meals.


I would have no hesitation in recommending Kinders Mill to anybody.

My son has been attending Kinders Mill Day Nursery for just over two years and is very happy and settled there. The staff are extremely caring and get to know the children well. They provide a fantastic range of activities including outdoor play, messy play, singing, drawing and reading. They also encourage
development relevant to the age and skills of each child and provide formal feedback on this via parents evenings, an online learning journal and a brief update at the end of each day. The food, which is all cooked on site, is organic and varied, I often feel quite jealous when I see the menu! My son has recently moved up to the pre-school class and is just as happy there. He will soon be starting swimming lessons and learning French. I am very happy with the care provided and would certainly recommend Kinders Mill Day Nursery to other parents.

We are very pleased with Kinders Mill Day Nursery, our son has attended since July 2015 and he has excelled. The imagination the staff have is fantastic, the messy tray always looks like such fun.

My son has attended Kinders Mill Day Nursery since he was 10 months old (now 16 months) and he absolutely loves it. He has developed good bonds with the staff, who are extremely caring and enthusiastic about their jobs. While he did not like being left at first, the staff helped him settle in quickly,
and now he can't wait to go and play each morning. At drop-off, I always see new and exciting activities set up in different areas of the room, and the children are encouraged to explore them in their own ways / time. He has already come on in leaps and bounds since starting at the nursery (a few months ago), and I'm confident that the staff will continue to aid his development. It is an expensive nursery, but it is not the most expensive in Hitchin, and well worth the cost given the quality of the staff, food, and activities on offer each day.

My daughter has been attending Kinders Mill since her first birthday. She is now 18 months and loves going nursery. As soon as we drop her off, she confidently settles in with her friends and the various activities. The nursery encourages outdoor play and a wide range of indoor fun play. The meals offered
are very nutritious, my daughter is vegetarian
And I'm very happy with the alternatives she's given. All the staff are very attentive, thorough & provide a very personal touch with the babies/toddlers. Very comfortable with the environment.

My 19-month-old son has been coming here two days a week for 9 months and we have found it brilliant.
The staff are qualified and friendly. The food is all organic and everything is all included which is good.
The admin/management respond quickly to any requests or queries and are happy to try and
accommodate extra requests & queries etc.
Feedback at the end of each day is good, and an online system gives photos and learning updates.
I'd thoroughly recommend this nursery, without hesitation.
