I would strongly recommend this nursery. My husband and I spent a long time researching numerous nurseries around the Ware and Hertford area and it was our first choice by a long way. Since starting, the staff have been incredible in settling in our daughter. I found the transition of returning back
to work after maternity leave and my daughter starting nursery a very challenging time. The staff have been so wonderful in supporting both my daughter and I during this period and settling her in. After just a few weeks, she is really enjoying her time there. She has made lots of friends and built a strong rapport with the staff. She participates in a variety of activities in both an indoor and outdoor setting throughout the day. We get lots of photo updates on the Nursery app, so we get to see what she has been up to throughout the day. Overall, we could not be happier with our choice and are really grateful for all the hard work and support the staff provide, so thank you!

My husband and I are so pleased with the nursery and how our little boy is thriving here. Having been in a different nursery for six months previous to starting River View, I was apprehensive about changing his setting, however this is one of the best decisions we have made.
Our son settled really
quickly and we credit the amazing staff at River View for this smooth and positive transition. The venue is lovely, very bright and spacious and the garden is absolutely fantastic. The children have lots of activities to engage with throughout the day and the nursery provides a weekly newsletter so parents can see what the children will be focusing on in the coming week.
We are so happy with River View, and more importantly so is our son.

My children have been coming to River View nursery for a year now. I couldn't recommend it enough. The children have developed so much in this time and I praise the nursery staff for their hard work. I couldn't have done it without them.

We are absolutely thrilled with the care that our daughter is receiving at River View. She is currently in the Ladybirds room and her carer is superb. Our daughter has built up a fabulous relationship with her carer and has progressed in all areas; particularly her speech, understanding and ability
to play with others.
The communication we receive on her progress and day to day activities is excellent.
I can't recommend this member of staff and the nursery enough!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery. They are fab. My eldest left last summer to start reception and was there from 1 year old. They helped prepare her for school and she was able to do more than was expected of her. My youngest is still there and loves it. She has come on so much in the last
few months and loves her key person.

My daughter has attended River View nursery for the past two years, she is now almost three years old. My son attended before her. I continue to be impressed everyday by the care, diligence and enthusiasm of the staff. They make the nursery a truly fun and exciting place whilst I feel 100% reassured
she is in excellent care. The children get to enjoy fun, often 'messy play' that we don't always get to do at home. They have an abundance of toys to play with. Just don't expect to take a clean child home, my little girl loves the 'mud' kitchen! Every day my little girl is happy to go to the nursery and she tells me at the end of the day which friends she has been playing with, including children and staff. The staff are so kind and friendly that they still make a fuss of my older child who previously attended the nursery. The standard of food prepared and the menu is outstanding!! As well as nutritious and varied. Both my children have always eaten very well at nursery.
I would highly recommend River View nursery to anyone!

My son has attended from age two. It is fantastic. Lovely building with a great garden. The staff are absolutely first rate. My son loves going and I am certain that they have helped him grow in every way. Highly recommended.

Both of my children attended River View and both thoroughly enjoyed going. The standard of care and the attention given to the needs of the child are excellent and both my kids left River View confident and ready for the challenges of school. The staff are all friendly, helpful and were always happy
to discuss any queries or concerns, whenever we had them.
The children were always encouraged to be kind, creative and collaborative but also allowed the freedom to learn in their own way at their own pace.
The children are fed healthy, balanced meals, although some dishes can be challenging for younger, perhaps slightly fussier eaters. There is a concerted effort made to promote healthy eating, which is to be applauded but does seem counter-productive if a child comes home hungry.
Overall though, I couldn't recommend River View highly enough. While I don't have any other nursery to compare it to, if this is the benchmark then I imagine it would be tough to beat.

We have two boys at the nursery and have found the care to be nothing but excellent. The staff are very caring and nothing seems too much for them. Any concerns we have had have been dealt with immediately and very positively. The facilities are great, particularly the garden! Both boys are such good
eaters which is definitely down to the variety and quality of the food served. They are always doing such fun and varied activities and the individuality of each child is really catered for. Both boys are thriving at River View. Our youngest dives into the arms of his key worker each morning and barely looks back when we leave him!


Overall, we couldn't be more pleased.

Our two-year-old son has flourished at River View and is clearly incredibly happy there. His key worker and other staff have really taken the time to get to know and understand him and he has forged excellent relationships with them, as well as with the other children.
The staff set sensible boundaries
without discouraging the children from expressing themselves. He gets to enjoy such a great variety of activities and we're confident that he is stimulated and making great progress as a result. I find all of the staff at River View to be really friendly and honest, which is something we really value.
I miss my son so much when I'm not with him, so it makes me feel much better to know that he is in a setting where he is well loved, cared for and encouraged to be himself.

All the staff at River View Day Nursery (Hertford) have been absolutely fantastic with my daughter since she started with them.
I found it hard leaving my daughter at first but the staff were so understanding and never got annoyed if I rang throughout the day to see how she was!
My daughter fell
into a better routine and even ate better after being at the nursery!
I couldn’t find one bad thing about the nursery or anyone that works there! It’s fantastic!

Overall I'm happy with the nursery and both my children seem happy and they enjoy being there. The only concern I have is with regards to hygiene. There have been several occasions when both my kids come back home with their bottoms not very clean as if the person changing their nappy didn't do a thorough
job. They have consequently developed nappy rashes despite my notes to the management this issue kept repeating itself? (Possibly due to new staff).

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2005

Natasha is the Manager of River View Day Nursery in Hertford and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 17 years. Natasha is Level 3 qualified in the Early Years. Natasha has been with Childbase Partnership for a total of 13 years.


What is your favourite feature of River View?
My favourite feature of our nursery is our garden. We have a lovely open space split into three sections for each age group and set out with those ages in mind. We have been growing our own fruits and vegetables in our allotment and it also invites bees and butterflies to our garden.


What are you most proud of about your team/nursery?
I am most proud of how welcoming our setting and team are. Every time we have visitors they always comment on how all of the team will say hello and welcome them into the nursery with a smile. This also means we have a lot of long-standing staff in our setting.
