River View Day Nursery (Hertford)

My son has attended from age two. It is fantastic. Lovely building with a great garden. The staff are absolutely first rate. My son loves going and I am certain that they have helped him grow in every way. Highly recommended.

River View is outstanding. Staff are extremely professional and helpful and the facilities educational opportunities are excellent. Our son has been very happy there.

Overall though, I couldn't recommend River View highly enough. While I don't have any other nursery to compare it to, if this is the benchmark then I imagine it would be tough to beat.

We have two boys at the nursery and have found the care to be nothing but excellent. The staff are very caring and nothing seems too much for them. Any concerns we have had have been dealt with immediately and very positively. The facilities are great, particularly the garden! Both boys are such good eaters which is definitely down to the variety and quality of the food served. They are always doing such fun and varied activities and the individuality of each child is really catered for. Both boys are thriving at River View. Our youngest dives into the arms of his key worker each morning and barely looks back when we leave him!

Overall, we couldn't be more pleased.

I miss my son so much when I'm not with him, so it makes me feel much better to know that he is in a setting where he is well loved, cared for and encouraged to be himself.

I couldn’t find one bad thing about the nursery or anyone that works there! It’s fantastic!

Overall I'm happy with the nursery and both my children seem happy and they enjoy being there. The only concern I have is with regards to hygiene. There have been several occasions when both my kids come back home with their bottoms not very clean as if the person changing their nappy didn't do a thorough job. They have consequently developed nappy rashes despite my notes to the management this issue kept repeating itself? (Possibly due to new staff).

Since relocating to Hertford my son has absolutely loved being at River View - everyone genuinely cares about the children, he has learnt so much since being there. The best review would come from my son, who "loves school!"

Since joining, my son has come on leaps and bounds, his vocabulary has increased, he is becoming more independent. The staff at River View are always pleasant and happy to help you if you ever have a query. He enjoys going to nursery and knows most of the staff by name, he talks about the things he does. I love that the nursery gives out books to read and encourage them to draw a picture relating to the book.The outdoor space is the thing that sets it above from the other nurseries in Hertford, the children are encouraged to go outside to play and explore outside, learning about nature. The nursery makes learning fun for the children and encourages them to do things themselves and to become independent, the weekly newsletters are great as you can see what your child will be focusing on the week ahead, which in turn helps at home when spending time with your child. It can focus you on what to talk about / do with your child. I would highly recommend the Nursery to any prospective parents.

Our child has come on leaps and bounds since joining the nursery and we've seen her grow in confidence and has really come out of her shell.

I think River View Nursery is great and would happily recommend it. The staff are friendly, approachable and amazing with the kids. They were invaluable in helping my son to settle in when he first started and generally in putting my mind at rest as a new mum. I love the fact that they provide daily updates for parents and photos so that I can see what my son has been doing whilst I am at work. The agenda for the week also allows me to continue the themes/stories/songs at home.

They are very accommodating with respect to specific requests/needs for the children as far as is possible, and timely in relation to responding to particular concerns. My son really enjoys his time there with the varied activities that they offer, as well as the outside space. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Excellent staff and facilities at River View combine to make a wonderful environment for children as they grow and learn. The result is happy staff, happy parents and most importantly, happy children!

My child has been extremely happy here since joining 2 years ago. The staff are caring, kind and fun and she thoroughly enjoys her days here. She has made some great friends and always walks in happy and excited.

We have had both of our children at River View Day nursery for a number of years now. We have found the environment provided to be extremely safe, friendly and supportive. I think the main thing is that they seem to genuinely care about your child (or in my case children), which is incredibly important. They provide a range of wonderful activities for the children and both of my children thoroughly look forward to going in each day. They help to establish important routines and rules that make the children feel secure. They are also highly reliable, something which is of key importance if you need to juggle work and home. We will always look back with great fondness at the times our boys have had there.

My daughter loves going to nursery and that is the most important thing - she is happy. She is very fond of staff, who are all kind and look pleased to see her in the morning. She has learned so much since she started, especially through socialising with her friends. She loves playing in the garden (which is beautiful) on bikes, in the sandpit, hide and seek. Staff tailor her learning to meet her needs. She skips in and skips out of Bumblebees each day happy and I couldn't ask for more than that.

My son recently joined the nursery as his last one closed. Finding a suitable nursery is always the hardest part. However, since my son was given his place, the staff in bumblebees and the staff in the office, have been nothing but welcoming and flexible.

The staff at River View are very welcoming and nothing ever seems an issue. For example, one of the ladies in my son's room spent a lot of time making him feel welcome and making sure he was interacting with the other children. With this in mind, I feel that the transition has been so smooth and one less thing for me to worry about.

The facilities available in the nursery are perfect. My son is such an outdoor bunny so the fact he has a free flow of their massive garden and outdoor space means he's always happy and never wants to leave when it's time to pick him up.

I'm really pleased with what I have witnessed with the nursery and feel that if, with the way the nursery is structured, all parents would have the same experience as mine.

Just to put on record, we thoroughly enjoyed the nursery 'Fun Day' on Saturday 10th June. Every aspect of the day was excellent but the staff contribution has to be noted as outstanding. As a teacher myself, I realise what it means to work in the environment and culture of education and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery. With special thanks to the key workers to my girls in the preschool.

The staff at Riverview have always been friendly, attentive & helpful. I believe the girls have definitely benefitted from being in this environment, I would recommend it to anyone.

My baby was 11 months old when first arriving at the nursery. 5 months on and he has come on leaps and bounds with his social interactivity, learning and general development. The facilities are fantastic and the outdoor space is second to none which he loves. Staff are friendly and caring and I feel more than happy to leave him in their capable hands. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Staff are friendly, caring and supportive. The environment is always welcoming and interactive for the children. Management is very approachable and responsive to any feedback that you have. Meals are balanced and seem to be enjoyed! Activities are varied and it's great to see so many learning themes throughout the year.
