Since relocating to Hertford my son has absolutely loved being at River View - everyone genuinely cares about the children, he has learnt so much since being there. The best review would come from my son, who "loves school!"

Since joining, my son has come on leaps and bounds, his vocabulary has increased, he is becoming more independent. The staff at River View are always pleasant and happy to help you if you ever have a query. He enjoys going to nursery and knows most of the staff by name, he talks about the things he
does. I love that the nursery gives out books to read and encourage them to draw a picture relating to the book.The outdoor space is the thing that sets it above from the other nurseries in Hertford, the children are encouraged to go outside to play and explore outside, learning about nature. The nursery makes learning fun for the children and encourages them to do things themselves and to become independent, the weekly newsletters are great as you can see what your child will be focusing on the week ahead, which in turn helps at home when spending time with your child. It can focus you on what to talk about / do with your child. I would highly recommend the Nursery to any prospective parents.

Our child is extremely happy and settled at River View Day Nursery. The staff are friendly, welcoming and kind and our child has grown close relationships with them. We feel extremely happy that she is in a safe and caring place.
Our child has come on leaps and bounds since joining the nursery and
we've seen her grow in confidence and has really come out of her shell.

I think River View Nursery is great and would happily recommend it. The staff are friendly, approachable and amazing with the kids. They were invaluable in helping my son to settle in when he first started and generally in putting my mind at rest as a new mum. I love the fact that they provide daily
updates for parents and photos so that I can see what my son has been doing whilst I am at work. The agenda for the week also allows me to continue the themes/stories/songs at home.


They are very accommodating with respect to specific requests/needs for the children as far as is possible, and timely in relation to responding to particular concerns. My son really enjoys his time there with the varied activities that they offer, as well as the outside space. I couldn't recommend it enough.

We have had both of our children at River View Day nursery for a number of years now. We have found the environment provided to be extremely safe, friendly and supportive. I think the main thing is that they seem to genuinely care about your child (or in my case children), which is incredibly important.
They provide a range of wonderful activities for the children and both of my children thoroughly look forward to going in each day. They help to establish important routines and rules that make the children feel secure. They are also highly reliable, something which is of key importance if you need to juggle work and home. We will always look back with great fondness at the times our boys have had there.

My daughter loves going to nursery and that is the most important thing - she is happy. She is very fond of staff, who are all kind and look pleased to see her in the morning. She has learned so much since she started, especially through socialising with her friends. She loves playing in the garden
(which is beautiful) on bikes, in the sandpit, hide and seek. Staff tailor her learning to meet her needs. She skips in and skips out of Bumblebees each day happy and I couldn't ask for more than that.

My son recently joined the nursery as his last one closed. Finding a suitable nursery is always the hardest part. However, since my son was given his place, the staff in bumblebees and the staff in the office, have been nothing but welcoming and flexible.


The staff at River View are very welcoming

and nothing ever seems an issue. For example, one of the ladies in my son's room spent a lot of time making him feel welcome and making sure he was interacting with the other children. With this in mind, I feel that the transition has been so smooth and one less thing for me to worry about.


The facilities available in the nursery are perfect. My son is such an outdoor bunny so the fact he has a free flow of their massive garden and outdoor space means he's always happy and never wants to leave when it's time to pick him up.


I'm really pleased with what I have witnessed with the nursery and feel that if, with the way the nursery is structured, all parents would have the same experience as mine.

Just to put on record, we thoroughly enjoyed the nursery 'Fun Day' on Saturday 10th June. Every aspect of the day was excellent but the staff contribution has to be noted as outstanding. As a teacher myself, I realise what it means to work in the environment and culture of education and I wouldn't hesitate
to recommend the nursery. With special thanks to the key workers to my girls in the preschool.

Both of my daughters currently attend Riverview day nursery, both of them started at 3 months old, one is now in pre school & due to start 'big school' in September, the other is now 17months old & due to start in ladybirds in September.
The staff at Riverview have always been friendly, attentive &
helpful. I believe the girls have definitely benefitted from being in this environment, I would recommend it to anyone.

My baby was 11 months old when first arriving at the nursery. 5 months on and he has come on leaps and bounds with his social interactivity, learning and general development. The facilities are fantastic and the outdoor space is second to none which he loves. Staff are friendly and caring and I feel

Staff are friendly, caring and supportive. The environment is always welcoming and interactive for the children. Management is very approachable and responsive to any feedback that you have. Our boys are loving their time at River View. All the staff have been very welcoming from the beginning, making sure the boys feel settled every morning through to keeping us up to date with what they've been doing. They come home tired but excited about the day they've had and always seem to be doing
a variety of activities to keep them entertained. The food menu is varied and healthy and the garden area gives a large additional space on dry days which both boys love spending time in.

We were originally attracted to River View Day Nursery by the quality of the facilities and the huge garden in which the children can play. Our daughter has been attending River View for about 18 months on a full-time basis and we were not surprised to find that the quality of care and interest in the
children is of equal merit to the facilities. Staff have a genuine interest and understanding in each child's needs and development and are always happy to discuss any element of the child's care or routine.


We particularly remember the fantastic support we received in the first few weeks when our daughter started attending River View nursery. Staff in the Caterpillar room consulted with us regularly to ensure that our daughter's routine at the nursery would be as familiar to her as possible and we regularly discussed any desired changes to her weaning or sleep routines over the following months.


We would have no hesitation in recommending River View, our daughter loves it.

My daughter has been attending River View for 3-4 months now and I am so grateful for all that the staff do at Riverview. They have highlighted my daughter's interests and provide such a range of activities for her to engage in daily. They offer a safe and secure environment and the feedback and family
involvement is fantastic.
My daughter has come on leaps and bounds in terms of verbal and non-verbal development. My daughter is so confident and sociable since attending River View and she has made many close bonds with the staff and especially her key worker.
Knowing my daughter is in safe hands makes me feel a lot more confident during my day to day work routine. They are truly fantastic.

Natasha Boon

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2005

Natasha is the Manager of River View Day Nursery in Hertford and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 17 years. Natasha is Level 3 qualified in the Early Years. Natasha has been with Childbase Partnership for a total of 13 years.


What is your favourite feature of River View?
My favourite feature of our nursery is our garden. We have a lovely open space split into three sections for each age group and set out with those ages in mind. We have been growing our own fruits and vegetables in our allotment and it also invites bees and butterflies to our garden.


What are you most proud of about your team/nursery?
I am most proud of how welcoming our setting and team are. Every time we have visitors they always comment on how all of the team will say hello and welcome them into the nursery with a smile. This also means we have a lot of long-standing staff in our setting.
