Where do I start! My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was around 10-months, and at first, it was tears all day and now she runs in and never looks back! She attends 3 full days and looks forward to this every morning that she goes! She quite often tells me about her day and laughs
and giggles at the funny things she has been up to! She tells me her friends names and speaks about her key workers and other members of the staff a lot! She will even speak about her “favourite” people during non-nursery days and over the weekend! I always feel so content and at ease, dropping her each morning. I know the staff there are very fond of her, and it is clear to me through her development that she is thriving from being there. The staff are super helpful and always give me a full rundown of her day and provide a report each day of what she's eaten and how long she naps. I look forward to reading this every evening! I would recommend this nursery to anyone I encounter!

My son was very unsettled when starting at nursery, but the staff were so patient, friendly and warm, and now he loves it there, and he has developed so quickly. I couldn’t fault anyone there, they’re amazing and work really hard. Thank you!

I can’t speak highly enough of the guys at Bright Horizons Southampton Day Nursery - the care, love and attention they give the children is amazing. They have taught my son so many skills and have given him so many wonderful memories he, and we, will cherish forever. They have all made their impression
on my son, which has stood him in good stead upon entering ‘big’ school. My son formed many fantastic relationships with staff and great friendships with the other children, which have endured even after leaving. Thank you all.

The staff in baby care have been absolutely amazing looking after my daughter since she started nursery. They have been very supportive, friendly and efficient. She has been so happy and settled in brilliantly. They went above and beyond providing outstanding care. Nothing is too much trouble. I felt

I have had nothing but a great experience with Teddies nursery Southampton. It is a friendly and caring place. It always gives a outstanding service. My Child love to come to nursery everyday and he has made some amazing friends. He has become a positive and outgoing child who will be ready for school

I have nothing but good things to say about the nursery, every single member of
Staff has been amazing with my son and me. They are very friendly and I always feel that my son is safe with them which means the world to me!
I can see in my son how much he enjoys going to the nursery and how much affection
he has towards the staff and that’s a huge testimony to the nursery.
I would recommend this nursery to any parent because I have always felt that the staff have taken my requests and concerns about my son very seriously which I find so reassuring.
To me the most important thing for me when it comes to a nursery is trust and that my son enjoys himself and both have succeeded my expectations!

We've only recently joined the preschool but already my little boy is loving it. The girls working in the room are lovely and very friendly. The setting is relaxed. I have no worries about safety. Very happy, my little boy will thrive there over the next year.

I find the staff at the nursery very kind, caring and genuinely interested in the care and development of my child. I have had great experiences with the staff at being thoughtful and patient when the child is moving rooms but also displaying the right amount of rule-setting and discipline. My child

My 2 year old attends 2 mornings a week and my 6 month old will be starting soon. He had a settling in session last week and I brought my 2 year old along. Lunch was provided for both of them and they were both made so welcome. The staff all know my eldest and are so lovely to him, and the environment
and cleanliness of the nursery always really impresses me. I know my boys are in good hands with them and it means a lot!

The quality of care for children is brilliant but I feel the activities the children take part in whilst in attendance has reduced significantly since my child started yet prices have continued to increase.


In addition, I do not agree with children being kept indoors during hot weather when there

is no air conditioning available. It must be awful for both them and staff.

Both of our girls have gone to Bright Horizons over the past four years. They have enjoyed every minute and learnt so much. The staff have been so caring and helpful. The food menu Bright Horizon has to offer is excellent and they cater for all diets. We will miss our girls being at Bright Horizon and

Bright Horizons Southampton Day Nursery have excelled in everything I wanted in a preschool for my son. After him having a rocky start at a previous preschool he settled well and had an amazing year! The staff are always friendly the rooms are always clean, he always came home with a smile on his face,
not a day went past where I could say a bad word about anything. He has learnt so much and has become a confident bright young boy fully prepared to start full-time education. Bright Horizons Southampton will always be the reason my son has so much confidence and hoping in a couple of years to come my second born will also attend. They have always welcomed opinions and gave me options, included me in my son's journey! A wonderful caring preschool.

I have been a parent at this nursery for 4yrs, having first visited whilst pregnant with my first child.
I find the team caring and approachable. My children enjoy their time there. There is a vast range of activities that are on offer across the nursery which the children benefit from.

My son started at the nursery about 2.5 years ago now and is currently in preschool and he loves it. I am so pleased with his progress, always telling me of the day he has had with lots of fun and learning.


All the staff are friendly and encouraging for him in all aspects of his growing up.

The staff are very caring and know the children as individuals very well. They are always happy to discuss how they work with my child and how else they can help support regarding eating or sleeping. They are very friendly and my child is very happy in the baby room. She responds well to all the staff
who all contribute to her safety and well-being. They always let us know promptly if she has hurt herself. Her assessment book is filled out regularly and shows exactly what she has been working on and how she is developing. The nursery provides a wide range of foods for her to enjoy. I feel that my child has developed in every area since starting in May and I'm very happy with the communication, care and support that the staff provide my child. Thank you!

Sarah

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2016

Sarah has been with Bright Horizons since 2016, and from the very beginning, it felt like coming home to her. This warm, welcoming approach is evident in the setting she manages - a comfortable environment where both children and staff thrive.


With 25 years of experience working with children, Sarah finds immense fulfilment in her role as an early years practitioner. Witnessing children achieve and grow into lifelong learners is what she treasures most about her job.


She has extensive experience with children of all ages, from babies to preschoolers, and has progressed from an early years practitioner to the position of nursery manager. Sarah holds a BA (Hons) degree in children’s learning and development, reflecting her commitment to professional growth and excellence.


Outside of work, Sarah loves spending time with her family and is a proud mother of two boys, aged 14 and 19. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting, sewing, cheering on her youngest child at rugby matches, watching films, and cherishing moments with her immediate and extended family.

Kelly

Kelly

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Kelly has been a part of Bright Horizons since 2016, where she has steadily progressed from an Early Years Practitioner to the role of Deputy Manager. She also gained valuable experience as a Manager during a maternity cover period. Collaborating closely with Sarah, Kelly contributes to creating warm and welcoming environments for the families at the centre.


In addition to her managerial duties, Kelly serves as the nursery SENDCo, ensuring that each child's individual needs are addressed within the setting. She actively liaises with external agencies to provide necessary support for families throughout the process.


Kelly is passionate about exploration activities and believes in children learning through sensory experiences.


She actively engages in activities, fostering an environment that encourages children's learning and development across all areas while ensuring they have fun in the process.


Outside of work, Kelly enjoys getting lost in novels and spending quality time socialising with friends.
