Bright Horizons Wavendon Day Nursery and Preschool is surrounded by wonderful gardens giving it a cosy and homely feel. There is a four-week settling in period which is free of charge and the nurseries own nutritiously balanced meals cooked on-site.

The baby room is a cosy and quiet area with lots of wooden toys to keep babies entertained. There is a 'no-shoe' policy in the baby room to ensure that their play area is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

In the nursery and toddler room, children participate in messy play, ICT and learning about personal hygiene with toilet training and hand washing.

The pre-school has a wide range of resources such as an interactive whiteboard to teach lessons and key skills to help your child prepare for school.

The large garden gives access to hours of fun with a climbing frame, sandpit and bike track.

I recently attended the Big Wriggle event at the nursery with my niece. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and encouraged everyone there to take part. There was a variety of activities on offer for all the children of all ages to get involved in, including a caterpillar conga around the garden,
a treasure hunt and a delightful 'hungry caterpillar' story. All of the children remained absorbed and involved throughout the whole afternoon.
Thank you to everyone involved for a lovely afternoon.

My niece absolutely loves the Asquith Wavendon Nursery, as a family, we couldn't ask for better care. The staff are amazing and give 100% to all children to ensure their safety, learning and happiness. My niece came home the other day talking about St Georges Day stories and talking about the Royal
baby, they have even been given a chance to name the new prince!
I would recommend to anyone who wants a positive home-from-home environment for their child.

Excellent to have time with key workers and review our child's development together including reading their personal folder. Also a good opportunity to meet others and socialise.

Couldn't ask for a better nursery! The amount my daughter has come on since September is unbelievable! I can only put this down to the amazing staff in the Pre-School Room!
My daughter cannot wait to get dressed and leave to go to nursery each day! She beams from ear to ear.

Lovely nursery, lovely setting. Really enjoyed the Christmas festivities. I love seeing the smile on my daughters face when we drop her off. It is obvious she loves her time at Wavendon and that's down to the lovely staff members.

The whole team at Asquith Wavendon are great. The interaction with the children is superb. Very caring, supportive and you can notice they take their roles very seriously, with lots of fun too!
We have our third child attending and he loves every minute of every day that he attends.

A lovely Christmas Party with lots of different activities for all the children. All staff are very engaged with the children and clearly, have really good relationships with them. The boys were very happy to go off and leave me to join in with the activities, which was a pleasure to see. Really lovely

I have two children at Wavendon. We had a few teething issues when my daughter first started, but now I wouldn't want to send them anywhere else. Both my children love it here - they adore their key workers. As a parent, I think the environment and the garden are great, the staff are friendly and the

I have been to collect my niece on a number of occasions and I have always been impressed with the nursery. It is a well run, welcoming and nurturing environment that has enabled my niece to thrive.


All staff are friendly and knowledgeable, they know my niece well and use that knowledge to plan

activities for her. The management team are always polite and have dealt with any worries quickly and effectively. My niece always talks about nursery and is always excited to tell me what she has done. She was particularity excited about the activities that were on offer during Halloween. Especially the activity that involved them making a chocolate apple. I can't praise this nursery enough and would recommend it to anyone.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have almost 30 years experience of working with young children. I have worked in private households, pre-schools, nursery classes and day nurseries. I love watching children develop the skills they need to transition through the developmental stages of their early childhood and I love the way it makes me feel knowing I played a part in that.


I am really looking forward to joining the team at Wavendon. The nursery has a wonderful homely feel to it and the warm welcome I received on my first visit was amazing.


I have one grown-up son who is now a firefighter. I live with my husband and our 2 miniature schnauzers Reggie and Frank. I love spending time with my family and friends and enjoy travelling to the sunshine.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Amy has worked in the Early Years Industry for 17 years having worked her way through the different roles leading into the Management Team. Amy has a passion for loose parts play watching the children use natural resources to enhance their learning and development. Amy is also an experienced practitioner with a deep knowledge of the importance of a holistic approach with particular emphasis on a child-led approach. She loves nothing more than getting the children moving and enjoying their learning, especially in our spacious outdoor space.

Job Title: Third In Charge

Peter has worked in childcare for nearly a decade and has spent his whole career here at Wavendon. Peter has held pretty much every role at the Nursery, from bank staff to third in charge, even stepping in as chef in an emergency! Peter’s route into childcare may have been a roundabout one, but there is no doubt that it was where he was meant to end up.
