Our daughter has been attending Wavendon Bright Horizons since Summer 2019, progressing through the different rooms since she was 10 months old. The staff are friendly, engaging and genuinely seem to care for the health and well-being of the child. Our 10-month-old son is now in the process of starting the baby room. He has a severe food allergy, so naturally, as a concerned parent, I had my reservations about sending him. The management have done so much to reassure my husband and I, listening to our concerns, being patient with our son and generally putting our minds at ease. The nursery/pre-school is expensive, but as a parent, I would rather pay more and know my children love the setting and are happy and looked after. Our daughter has certainly thrived over her time there. I can’t wait to see how our son gets on.
The nursery staff in the baby and toddler room are fantastic. They have a really good relationship with our daughter and go above and beyond to make sure everything is good for her. They have given advice, provided observations, and been very supportive. The admin side of things is less impressive - not overly communicative but a small detail as the care seems good. However, the price is now astronomical. Since we signed up less than a year ago, it has increased by £5 per day to £76 which seems very high for the area and in general. There doesn’t appear to be evidence of this in any changes we have seen.
My child really enjoys nursery. The staff are very friendly, the environment seems good and my child enjoys a variety of activities. I feel that my child is safe at nursery and well looked after by the staff there.
I am delighted with Bright Horizons Wavendon Day Nursery and Preschool. My 1-year-old and 3-year-old are really happy here. My 3-year-old calls it his “friends’ house”. The staff are caring, attentive and focused on helping the children’s development. The facilities are excellent, especially the lovely gardens filled with a wide variety of play things. I would have no hesitation in recommending it.
I highly recommend Bright Horizons Wavendon Day Nursery and Preschool. My baby has only been attending since January 2021, he did settling in sessions since November 2020. From the minute we registered with the nursery their communication has been excellent, providing us with details about the nursery, what their new practices are in line with Covid and how we can contact if needed. From the minute I dropped my baby off for his first settle I felt safe and secure, my baby was not phased at all and even though he had a wonderful time they still provided me with photos to show what he had done. The manager and deputy have always answered emails very quickly and seem so approachable. Even though we have had minimal face to face contact, nothing seems too much trouble for them or the nursery. I knew I had made the right decision when on our 3rd settle session I collected my baby and his key person described his character, personality and development. The team have made my transition back to work so much easier.
Wonderful nursery, but I think it’s the staff that make it so special at Wavendon. From day one, they were so supportive at settling my little one into nursery life. Lovely baby and toddler room with a brilliant garden. They always do lots of activities and celebrate every occasion. My little one has come so far since starting at the nursery, and absolutely loves being there. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough, and I can’t thank the nursery nurses in the baby/toddler room and the manager of the site for their continued hard work.
My child has been with the nursery for 5 months and while been at the nursery she has developed so much. The staff at the nursery are very helpful and always happy. My child feels safe and happy while she is at the nursery and I would recommend the nursery to family and friends.
She has grown so much since attending Wavendon nursery, and every day she comes up with new words/phrases. We can also see at home her progress in terms of manners/etiquette, and she’s always mentioning to us her friends or key workers names. She usually does not want to go home when I pick her up as she’s enjoying herself so much!
My son loves going to this nursery. He settled in with free settling in sessions which really helped on his first day. The staff team are all so friendly they really made me feel at ease. He loves their beautiful garden and comes home with lots of pictures of what he’s been up to. The nursery has helped my son to grow and flourish.
The most genuine, caring setting I have experienced. A second family. We are sad to be leaving. Thank you.
I have nothing but great things to say about this nursery and the staff there. They look after your children like they are their own, they notice everything and character changes, keep you informed and genuinely care about your children. The facilities are great and the garden is one of the key things I liked as it is completely private and not overlooked at all. My son has been going for 2 years and loves it and has great friends in both child and adults. I have full confidence in all the staff. They teach him lots not just academic values but humanity values, how they care shows in the children and their behaviour. Very happy nursery.
My daughter loves her days at Asquith. Overall, a fantastic nursery with amazing staff.
Since joining the nursery she has started to walk, has started to explore so much more and is so chatty and happy.
My daughter absolutely loves the food at the nursery since the new chef has taken over and eats every single thing they make.
One of the big pro's to choosing this nursery over others was that Nappies are included within the price which I have not found at any of the other local Nurseries - this is a great touch.
I would highly recommend this Nursery to anyone.
Asquith Wavendon Pre-School & Day Nursery is an amazing nursery. They have welcomed my son and worked really hard as a team to ensure he settled and transitioned well between rooms. They really care about children and treat them as individuals and personalise their care accordingly.
I won't hesitate to send my youngest son there too when I return to work.
Whatever the assurance was given to us about his care by the management team we didn’t see the same approach and attitude by some of the staff members including key people in his routine. Complete disconnection with the child and with us.
Our experience with this nursery and the staff have changed so much in last two months that we ended up terminating the contract with an immediate effect as advised by the nursery manager.
Not the right place to send your child if he/she is a sensitive soul. Staff are too busy to give a little bit more attention to a child who needs it for short period of time.
My daughter has loved coming to nursery since the day she started. The 8 weeks of settling in sessions were a massive bonus as it is not widely available in the area. Having been in baby and toddler room, she has flourished and now has been in nursery room for about 6 months. We could not be more proud of her development and achievements in this time. Staff are amazing and clearly give everything to the job and provide such fantastic care for all the children. The management team are great and so welcoming, I couldn’t be more happy with the nursery we picked. Thanks, Wavendon, you’ve truly been an amazing part of not just our daughter's life but ours too.
Excellent location with friendly and professional staff and fantastic facilities. Garden and outside play areas are great and I can highly recommend this nursery.
Really brilliant care with a wonderful manager would absolutely recommend to anyone with young children in the area. Also brilliant outdoor space with great food.
The staff and facilities at the nurseries are amazing, the manager is so supportive of the nursery and her passion for her work is clear. I feel so welcomed by the staff and am very confident in their ability to look after my sister.
My godson comes to this nursery and always comes home beaming with happiness. He is really well looked after and has such a wide range of activities to keep his young mind busy and learning all the time. The management team and staff do an amazing job and make sure that all children are really well looked after. I would highly recommend Asquith Wavendon Pre-School & Day Nursery to anyone. Well done all who are involved.
