Acorn Day Nursery (Jubilee Wood)

My son attended Acorn at Jubilee Wood for over 3 years and I highly recommend the nursery. The staff are friendly, supportive and communication is timely as there have been a few times we've had to meet to put steps in place to curb some bad behaviour, but on those occasions it's been productive and improvement has swiftly followed. There has always been a wide variety of activities that the children get to do as the nursery is well equipped with outdoor spaces and occasional trips to forest school are an added bonus for someone with a kid who's got limitless energy and curiosity. Another aspect of the nursery I also really admire is the meals the provided to the children as there really is a lot of variety here and I believe it has contributed to having a son who loves to try different foods. My son started at this nursery five months ago, and we were very worried about how he would adjust, but the staff made sure he settled in well, and he also enjoys going to nursery. There are more activities compared to the old nursery.

I've had children attend from April 2023 and all my children that have attended have been happy, well cared for, they have grown as their own person. They have been given many opportunities to explore their feelings, activities, and outside spaces. The staff have been so welcoming and shown kindness. Not only have they supported my children but they have also supported me if I've ever needed it. I couldn't have wished for a better nursery for any of my children who have attended. With the help of nursery my children have been allowed to grow into their own person with their own unique personality. They have all been shown love for the time they have been there. If they have ever hurt themselves the nursery have been great at communicating. Nothing has ever been to much for any of the staff from needing help or advice big or small, handover on how the day has been to asking if we would like them to work on anything with the children. My children have thrived.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Jubilee Wood. Both of our children have attended, with our eldest starting in January 2024 until starting school in 2025, and our second joining at just 9 months old in October 2024. As a mother, I have built wonderful relationships with staff across the Baby, Squirrels and Oaks Rooms, having had both children in each. Everyone has been warm, supportive and genuinely invested in our children's happiness and development. The care and reassurance they have given us has been invaluable. We have watched both children thrive, grow in confidence and independence, and form lovely bonds with the staff. Jubilee Wood has felt like an extension of our family, and we truly couldn't ask for a better nursery or team to have cared for our children as their own. Leaving will be incredibly emotional, but we will always be grateful for the love, care and wonderful memories they have given our family. We wholeheartedly recommend Jubilee Wood to any parent.

We are absolutely thrilled with this nursery. My daughter has been attending for over two years now. She can take time to settle in new environments, but the staff's dedication and care truly helped her feel at home, and now she is always excited to go in the mornings! She has made lovely friends and really enjoys the meals, though the one thing I wish they offered is a halal food option. The staff are incredibly caring and friendly, always making the children feel special-getting a simple sticker from them absolutely makes my daughter's day. They regularly organize engaging new activities, and one of our favorite features is the on-site forest. The frequent forest trips on the minibus too are such a wonderful, unique experience for the kids. I highly recommend this nursery.

Initially he was put on squirels as he was on less than 3 yrs and then we had month break due to vacation, later on he was not settled in the nursery after returning from vacation, so the staff was moved him to Oaks room, which was a game changer and was groomed well and special mention to Elice who is primary care taker for my son. He has been very comfortable going to nursery, enjoying the activities and making new friends. Also all the oaks staff were patient and supportive and helps us with detail feedback by the EOP when we pick up our child. Also their activitities for children invloving more closeness to nature stand out the reason we have chosen Acorn for my kid.

Clean and safe environment for kids. Lots of space indoor and outdoor for group and individual play. Staff are well trained and very supportive. They also provide freshly cooked nutrisious food. My 3 year old boy love to go to nursery and playing with friends.

The activities are great: they go to the park, they feed the chickens, they do a lot of water and messy play etc The whole approach is child-led and they respect parent's choices all the way (about potty training, naps, etc). The app is updated throughout the day to keep parents at ease and very often we receive updates with pictures. The safeguarding is on point. When our child was sick her temperature was checked several times, several people are aware, parents are called before any medication is administered. Everything is recorded on the app and traceable. Overall a great place for children but the main quality is the staff. Every one knows our child name and she knows everyone that works there. It's been over a year and we are extremely satisfied. It's a great place.

Great nursery, lovely staff and there is so much for the children to do, lovely spacious outdoor areas and reasonable price. If I have another child I will send them here too, i would definitely recommend.

Our little one started at Acorn Jubilee Wood last year and has been having such a wonderful time ever since. Even when she had a tough time settling in at first, the staff were incredibly patient and supportive, giving her all the time she needed to feel comfortable. What stands out the most is the level of care from the team. They've clearly taken the time to understand her as an individual, and it really shows. She goes in happily each day, which says everything. The staff are warm, dedicated, and create engaging activities that help children learn while having fun.

Overall, it's a wonderful nursery with a nurturing atmosphere. The outdoor space is a real asset, and the way children gradually integrate as they grow is fantastic for building confidence and social skills.

The activities are creative and educational, and we always receive regular updates about what our little boy is learning and doing during the day. The nursery is clean, safe, and well organised

As a parent, it's really reassuring to see how attentive the practitioners are and how comfortable our toddler is with all of them. They've clearly built a lovely level of trust, which makes a big difference when dropping off each day. The nursery feels like a very safe and nurturing environment, and the outdoor space is a great area for the children to play and explore. We also really appreciate the observation updates and the thoughtful feedback about our child's development. It's clear the team genuinely care about the children and the environment they create for them.

Acorn is a good nursery. The nursery has a dedicated team of ladies. My eldest stayed there until it was time for primary school, and the youngest is currently there. Would recommend without hesitation.

Amazing staff, super kind and friendly, my children really enjoy going to nursery! Everyone knows all the kids names and it's always a warm welcome. Feedback at the end of the day is always great, and full of information of your little ones days! Really amazing nursery!!

I highly recommend this nursery, my son had a great time here. Every single person in staff is very supportive. They made a lot of efforts to help adjust my son. I highly appreciate them all and wish the nursery and the staff all the best in future ventures.

As a parent this is reassuring to see the joy he has going to nursery. I leave my son there knowing he is safe and well looked after. I would highly recommend acorns to any parent.

One area for improvement would be maintaining cleaner floors, as children often crawl and touch the surface frequently. A special mention to her teacher, she is one of the most dedicated and kind-hearted educators we've met. Our daughter's growth and happiness are a testament to her care and support. We're truly grateful for the experience at Acorn Daycare.
