Grasshoppers Day Nursery is a home-from-home environment set within a beautiful detached house with a stunning garden. They have also obtained their Green Flag award.

There is a large, enclosed and well-equipped garden with safe and secure areas for each age group. Outdoor activities are scheduled throughout the year to maximise the amount of time children spend in the open air.

The nursery offers a fully inclusive package, opening from 7.30-6.30 giving parents a convenient service.

My child enjoyed their time at Grasshoppers nursery. Although they did not attend all week they still learned a lot and had fun. I was happy knowing my child was in great hands and they could socialise with other children and get messy. The nursery staff and management were very helpful and encouraging.
There was a real sense of family for all that attended and extra care for the children. My child was happy during their time at Grasshoppers and I would highly recommend for others.

Well - where to start? Grasshoppers Day Nursery provides a welcoming and nurturing environment for the children and their carers so from the moment you walk in the door you feel at ease. My grandson started at the nursery back in May and took a while to settle in but at all times the staff, in particular,
his key worker, were patient and supportive of his needs. He enjoys his time there and the improvement in his self-confidence and progress he has made is evident to all who know him.


The nursery provides a variety of activities and resources for the children to explore, encouraging them to try new things but also to be content in playing with familiar toys. My grandson loves being outdoors so the lovely garden and play area provides an excellent space for him to enjoy.


I cannot praise the nursery staff enough for the warm, caring and nurturing environment they provide - despite being one of many children in the Bumblebees room I feel my grandson is made to feel special.

My son loves it here. He enjoys the food, the construction area and the garden the most! He is happy to demonstrate the yoga he has been taught at home and his love for learning is truly nurtured by all the Grasshoppers, amazing staff.

Can’t sing the praises enough of Grasshoppers Day Nursery.
They came to my rescue when I had to suddenly remove my child from another nursery for safety reasons. I was able to start my little girl immediately and they were amazing. My little girl always suffers from separation anxiety but it’s almost
gone since being here.
Everyone is so friendly, yet professional. I love how all staff know the child. The interaction with parents is also amazing, I’m kept so informed on things she’s doing and she’s improved so much in such a short time.

I cannot sing the praises to Grasshoppers in Aylesbury enough! My little girl moved from Bumble Bees to Pre-School in May/June and the transition was excellent. Not only has she settled quickly but she cannot wait to go to school. Most importantly her main carer has done brilliantly with my daughter's
speech and language development. The main carer is consistent and persistent in getting the best of my child. My daughter now has conversations, unlike before!

My child has been coming to the nursery for a while now started off in caterpillars and is now in his last room in butterflies, as a parent couldn't wish for a better nursery to be bringing my child the care that's provided is out of this world all the girls that have worked alongside my child have
done extremely amazing made him feel welcomed what grasshoppers provide in all rooms is warmth, love it feels like home from home. My son loves nursery and what the girls have provided is outstanding support for him which I and my husband really appreciate. Staff in office and on reception are always welcoming in mornings always smiling and provide a warm feeling and atmosphere to the nursery. Thank you to you all.

Great staff, great rooms which are spacious and full of entertainment. The menu has changed to not include sugar which hasn't gone down well but the summer menu is much improved. The management team are great and help when needed.

My son has been attending Grasshoppers since January 2018 and I have found that the patience, enthusiasm and care shown by his key worker and other staff members in his room have meant that, after an unsettled start,m he is now enjoying nursery. My Son is in the Catapillars room and the ladies that look after him are fantastic. They are very encouraging, caring and friendly. It makes me feel very reassured leaving my Son in their care. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nursery!

Cannot praise the staff at Aylesbury Grasshoppers highly enough; patient, fun and kind. The gentle approach taking full account of child development is exactly aligned with how we choose to parent. Both children are happy and securely attached to staff and this has made being a working mum feel much

Grasshoppers Aylesbury is definitely a nursery I would recommend to other parents. My little boy has been in the Caterpillar room since November 2017 and the staff have been absolutely amazing with him, watching him grow and helping him develop. My son's development has improved massively since attending
Grasshoppers. The staff have become family to my little boy and myself too. They care for my son as if he is their own which makes dropping off my son a lot easier. I feel the staff at Grasshoppers are a fantastic team and work extremely well together. I couldn't thank the staff enough for what they do my son.

My son loves going to nursery, the staff are so welcoming and caring. They are a credit to the nursery.
My son has learnt so many skills to become more independent, his language development has grown. The staff provide such interesting and engaging activities that meet the needs of all the children.
As a parent, I feel very involved within the nursery and receive good communication from the nursery constantly.

My child has settled in really well over the past 6 months and I feel so confident and happy leaving him with the team.


His key worker was so helpful and reassuring when he initially started, always happy to speak to me - no matter how many times I called at first!


The rest of the team have

been just as engaging and always make such an effort with both my child and me - they make a big fuss of him when he arrives!


At the end of the day, they go through everything with me so thoroughly and patiently and give exactly the right level of detail. They are always happy to answer any questions I have, and I am always impressed of how well they are getting to know my child.


Thank you to everyone, I am so pleased I chose Grasshoppers.

My little boy adores nursery. He has strong bonds with both the adults and his peers. Yogurt and rice cakes are the highlight of his morning and playing in the garden with his friends ensures when I collect him he's ready for a good night's sleep! Can't thank Grasshoppers enough for their positive reinforcement

I am really pleased with the amount of care and work I've seen at this nursery.
All the girls here are extremely polite and have a smile on the faces when we arrive. Every morning, no matter the weather, the Sun is shining in the nursery and you'll find someone ready to listen to your concerns or queries.
They're doing all sorts of things every day and my son is happy and he's growing nurtured with best. I really want to thank them for the great work they're doing. Thanks, girls!

We are absolutely made up with how well our son is thriving since starting at Grasshoppers. He was shy and anxious at times but staff have been so supportive and have encouraged him to get involved. He is now so sociable and his self-confidence is building every day. We are hugely reassured by the dedication,

They always keep parents/guardians well informed about their children’s progress. Communication is the core of all business dealings and Grasshoppers are very good at it.
They take parents' concerns/ advice seriously and try very much to act on that.
They are very alert and supportive on the well
being of the children and show genuine concern when a child is not feeling well.
Emails are promptly sent out if their telephones are down and alternative phones are indicated to keep families in touch all the time.
They go out of their way to support newcomers who might be upset/afraid/anxious and this helps the parents to go to work etc. with peace of mind. They have practical contingency plans in the event of surprises eg. unpredictable weather. They always acknowledge/help when things do not go according to expectations eg missing clothes or spoilt clothing.

Corinna is the Manager of Grasshoppers Day Nursery in Aylesbury. Corinna has a wealth of experience, having worked at Childbase Partnership since 2005 and gaining a Level 3 qualification in Early Years.


What is your favourite feature of Grasshoppers?
The beautiful building itself and the large outdoor space available for all children to extend learning opportunities.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
What makes our nursery is our team- we are an extended supportive family. We all share the same passion for supporting our children to learn and develop through a blended curriculum.
