Grasshoppers Day Nursery is a home-from-home environment set within a beautiful detached house with a stunning garden. They have also obtained their Green Flag award.

There is a large, enclosed and well-equipped garden with safe and secure areas for each age group. Outdoor activities are scheduled throughout the year to maximise the amount of time children spend in the open air.

The nursery offers a fully inclusive package, opening from 7.30-6.30 giving parents a convenient service.

My little one has been going to Grasshoppers for the last three years and is very excited to go there every morning. Comes home happy and has lots to tell about all the fun she had there.
Excellent resources and outdoor play areas.
The staff are always approachable and welcoming. Really impressed
with the well balanced menus with all the nutritional information provided. As a parent, I feel assured that my child is being well looked after. Would really recommend Grasshoppers.

Amazing childcare setting! Always felt comfortable leaving my children in safe hands with all the staff at Grasshoppers.
My youngest was born during the pandemic and hadn’t built any relationships with people outside of her immediate family, but within a few weeks of attending nursery, she became
more confident and comfortable with me leaving! Will definitely recommend!

We have had both sons at Grasshoppers, the older one in Preschool and the younger one in three out of the four rooms. We have seen the boys develop so much during their time at the nursery. All of the key workers have been amazing. The rest of the nursery staff are top-notch and management is understanding
of the needs of the kids and the parents. It was a difficult time during the pandemic, however, each and everyone at Grasshoppers made sure it was "business as usual" for the kids throughout. Managing bubbles, entry, exit, masks, tests etc made it more complex but they managed it professionally. Communication has been one of the strengths and really important for parents to be kept up to date. We absolutely loved the nursery as much as our boys did. They miss it and we miss it as well.

My son attends Grasshoppers, he always has so much fun here. He gets so excited in the morning and doesn’t want to come home some evenings. The staff here are all amazing, from the moment you step in the door. They are so welcoming and supportive to both my son and me. I would highly recommend Grasshoppers.

My son joined through the pandemic into the preschool class and settled in extremely well. His key worker worked very closely with us to ensure we were updated on progress and ensured we worked in partnership but equally to just provide updates on his day. Grasshoppers' facilities are amazing, they
have large rooms for all ages with an interactive board for learning. Different areas of the room have various things and stations but most importantly the activities are always different incorporating his likes and hobbies, keeping my overactive son engaged and most importantly challenged! They are privileged with such a lovely large outdoor space for all the stages and ages of a child's development. The staff are enthusiastic and really are thoughtful when it comes to the activities in and outdoor. My son comes home with lots to tell us about his day and often something he has made.
Thank you all for making my son's experience magical and the transition from a childminder to a nursery so smooth!

Both my children have been with Grasshoppers. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and supportive of my children's needs. I've been reassured continuously regarding my daughter's progress. The team really demonstrate a specific understanding of their needs and work with her to develop and encourage
her.
I will also recommend this nursery.
Thank you so much to the Caterpillar team who have been fantastic with my daughter - especially her key worker.
The management and administration team are supportive, organised and welcoming too.

My daughter attended Grasshoppers from when she was one year old until she was three-and-a-half years old, so has passed through all of the various age range rooms.
We have had such a brilliant experience, all the staff have been fantastic throughout our time there and were incredible during the initial
lockdown situation where nurseries were closed for months. Considering how many children go to the nursery and how many different staff there are, I was always amazed that every single one seemed to know who my little girl was which is amazing, and would always greet her so warmly.
We receive regular updates via the app as well as photos and the usual daily debrief.
They have the most amazing garden too, really huge which all the children love. I will be very sad to say goodbye to Grasshoppers and have huge gratitude for their hand in helping my daughter become the lovely little girl she is today.

An absolutely amazing setting! My daughter attended Grasshoppers in the Preschool room from October 2020 - September 2021 when she started school. I cannot recommend this nursery enough, my daughter flourished and absolutely loved going. All the staff from the moment you walk in the door are welcoming,
friendly and everything is so child-focused making the children feel at home, secure and comfortable. My daughter had some tricky life changes whilst attending here and the staff went above and beyond to help her emotionally and developmentally. My daughter has been attending school for four months now and I can see how much preschool really helped prepare her for this change; she still talks about missing all the staff and missing going to preschool though! Thank you to each and every one of you!

I can’t rate Grasshoppers in Aylesbury highly enough! We transferred my daughter from another local nursery and were amazed by the difference. The staff are so lovely and accommodating my son's medical needs and problems with food intolerance. I couldn’t have asked for more.
The regular communication
via the App and at drop off/pick up was so personal and helpful. I loved seeing their photos/activities of what they had been up to and the progress that they were making, I felt a true partnership between home and nursery. Both of my children were fully ready for the transition to school.
I absolutely recommend Grasshoppers for their outstanding provision.

My daughter has just left Grasshoppers after 3 years there and we have been so pleased with the care and support she has received. She loved going in which made it much easier for us as parents and the staff were always friendly and helpful. They catered well for her food allergy and kept us informed
of the activities she was doing via the app. We are very pleased that we chose Grasshoppers.

Both my daughter and son have attended this nursery from two months old, with my littlest one leaving in the summer. The care they have both received from this nursery is outstanding. Even when they were so small I never felt worried that they wouldn’t be cared for. They always kept me informed about
everything going on. All the staff are so lovely and brilliant at their job and taking care of the children. My kids loved every moment they spent there and both still talk about it often and certain staff members. It was so hard to leave in the summer. There were a lot of tears from me. Thank you grasshoppers for everything you have taught and done for my children. We miss you all.

Grasshoppers is the most amazing nursery. My son attended for almost 4 years and loved it. The staff go above and beyond to care for the children and their families.
The care given is of the highest standard and always with the happiest of faces.
During Covid, their support to myself (as a key worker)
and my family was exceptional and so compassionate.
My son has thrived in their care and has started school with an excellent base of knowledge and skills.
I have previously, and will continue to, recommend Grasshoppers to everyone.

We couldn’t recommend Grasshoppers Day Nursery highly enough. What a wonderful place with an exceptional team! Right from the beginning, our son was made to feel welcome, safe and cared for and this continued for his time there.
The staff were always on hand to discuss progress and answer questions
and the facilities are great. The outside space was a particular hit and provided the children with lots of opportunities to explore and play.
The menus always looked great and our son never complained about what he had to eat.
It is such a great feeling to know your child is in safe hands and at Grasshoppers Day nursery we always felt that. They felt part of our extended family. Thank you so much!

My son started at Grasshoppers just after his first birthday and has recently left to start school. From day one I felt a sense of ease dropping him off knowing he was being so well cared for whilst having fun and learning. He has always enjoyed going to Grasshoppers, I cannot fault all the staff, they
have been wonderful and he created bonds with them all. My youngest son now attends Grasshoppers and they have gone out of their way to be accommodating to his never-ending list of allergies!

I write this review as our second daughter has just spent her last day at Grasshoppers. We are so saddened that the time has come for our youngest to leave and move on but what a wonderful, nurturing environment all the staff create for the children. Our daughters both grew in confidence during their
time, enjoyed their days and we felt the care was second to none from the very first day. The most welcoming place, the very best staff. I would recommend this nursery in a heartbeat.

The whole nursery team has been amazing all these years. Our daughters are very happy here and Grasshoppers team has been a key part in helping them to become the loving and confident little girls they are now. Choosing Grasshoppers Nursery is one of the best decisions we have ever made and we don't
hesitate to recommend it to everyone. The staff in every room is fantastic, really caring and gives them every opportunity to develop and learn. The nursery have plenty of resources and different activities every week, they all are very helpful and friendly and the rear garden is amazing, I have always loved seeing them playing in it. We are moving to another area of the country and we will be missing them greatly. During the last 5 years, Grasshoppers team have become part of our family and shared many of the great moments in the development of our girls. We will be leaving with many fond memories and knowing that the time they spent here, will be a key foundation on their development.

Corinna is the Manager of Grasshoppers Day Nursery in Aylesbury. Corinna has a wealth of experience, having worked at Childbase Partnership since 2005 and gaining a Level 3 qualification in Early Years.


What is your favourite feature of Grasshoppers?
The beautiful building itself and the large outdoor space available for all children to extend learning opportunities.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
What makes our nursery is our team- we are an extended supportive family. We all share the same passion for supporting our children to learn and develop through a blended curriculum.
