Grasshoppers Day Nursery (Aylesbury)

I have been impressed since the day I visited the nursery for a tour. The environment looks inviting and stimulating. The staff are warm and welcoming, making my child feel at ease. You don't feel rushed out the door when you collect your child and the handover feels tailored to my child's interests and what she has enjoyed doing rather than it being general in relation to all the children. Love the app and how you receive updates throughout the day. I look forward to reading her observations and looking at the photos. My previous career was in childcare so I knew what I was looking for when I enrolled my child, I recommend Childbase nurseries to everyone. Thank you, Grasshoppers!

My child loves going to nursery. The staff are very happy and loving towards her. They really do care about her. They come across that they are happy to be there because they want to be there. The venue is big and spacious, the garden has so much space and many activities. The food is great, so much variety for her to try!

Grasshoppers Day Nursery has been truly fantastic with my son. He was a very shy and reserved child when he started. Now, 3 years later as he leaves for school, I know he will do well and it is in massive part thanks to the staff at Grasshoppers. Everyone was also keen to help and listen to my concerns as a parent. They worked with me to help improve my son's confidence and put in place support for him. He has blossomed. I am so sad my son is leaving but I could not recommend Grasshoppers highly enough to any new parent.

We have had both of our boys with Grasshoppers Day Nursery two days a week since mid 2018 and mid 2021. We have always found the staff to be amazing and caring of our boys and build meaningful relationships that create a nurturing and growth-positive environment. We get updates on the ParentZone app that show us all the lovely things they get up to each day. This includes creative and messy tasks, lots of outdoor activities, reading and writing exercises, basic maths tasks, and generally having a great time with their little mates. The food is really good also, and we get updates on what they have eaten on the app too (honestly, I wish they would eat like that when they are at home). Other childcare options have come up for us along the way that would have been slightly more convenient or cost effective, but nothing has ever tempted us away from Grasshoppers as it is clear our boys get so much out of being there. I would recommend them to anyone!

I would like to say a special thank you to all the staff at Grasshoppers Day Nursery for helping our son develop socially and academically. He has thoroughly enjoyed his time at the nursery. We loved the regular updates through the app and we will miss you all.

Grasshoppers Day Nursery was our first choice for our daughter, and after reading all the reviews and seeing it all first hand, we’re so glad we chose them. Friendly staff, very attentive and I can happily leave my daughter knowing she’s in safe hands. We were extremely worried to start with, as our little one is a picky eater, but everyone at Grasshoppers have worked so hard to make sure she tries new food. Socially, she’s more engaging and we have noticed such a difference in her behaviour around people. Nothing but positive things to say for everyone in the team. A big thank you to all for helping my little one excel in such a short space of time.

Brilliant Nursery. Lovely to have peace of mind that my daughter has been so well taken care of. Plenty of stimulation, lovely environment and great communication. She has always loved going and never complains which says it all really!

This nursery is amazing, but more importantly, so is all the team. Both my girls have now finished and both were so school-ready, not only in terms of educational preparation but also socially and emotionally. We will miss going there every day, it really becomes an extended family.

We wish we could stay longer but it is time for him to go to school!

The staff are always approachable and welcoming. Really impressed with the well balanced menus with all the nutritional information provided. As a parent, I feel assured that my child is being well looked after. Would really recommend Grasshoppers.

My youngest was born during the pandemic and hadn’t built any relationships with people outside of her immediate family, but within a few weeks of attending nursery, she became more confident and comfortable with me leaving! Will definitely recommend!

We have had both sons at Grasshoppers, the older one in Preschool and the younger one in three out of the four rooms. We have seen the boys develop so much during their time at the nursery. All of the key workers have been amazing. The rest of the nursery staff are top-notch and management is understanding of the needs of the kids and the parents. It was a difficult time during the pandemic, however, each and everyone at Grasshoppers made sure it was "business as usual" for the kids throughout. Managing bubbles, entry, exit, masks, tests etc made it more complex but they managed it professionally. Communication has been one of the strengths and really important for parents to be kept up to date. We absolutely loved the nursery as much as our boys did. They miss it and we miss it as well.

My son attends Grasshoppers, he always has so much fun here. He gets so excited in the morning and doesn’t want to come home some evenings. The staff here are all amazing, from the moment you step in the door. They are so welcoming and supportive to both my son and me. I would highly recommend Grasshoppers. Thank you to all the staff there.

They have the most amazing garden too, really huge which all the children love. I will be very sad to say goodbye to Grasshoppers and have huge gratitude for their hand in helping my daughter become the lovely little girl she is today.

An absolutely amazing setting! My daughter attended Grasshoppers in the Preschool room from October 2020 - September 2021 when she started school. I cannot recommend this nursery enough, my daughter flourished and absolutely loved going. All the staff from the moment you walk in the door are welcoming, friendly and everything is so child-focused making the children feel at home, secure and comfortable. My daughter had some tricky life changes whilst attending here and the staff went above and beyond to help her emotionally and developmentally. My daughter has been attending school for four months now and I can see how much preschool really helped prepare her for this change; she still talks about missing all the staff and missing going to preschool though! Thank you to each and every one of you!
