We are so pleased we enrolled our daughter at Abbeymore. From day 1 we were made welcome and the attention, dedication and care that the team provide is amazing. Our daughter's development has soared since being at nursery, she's learning things that are really going to give her the best start. We wanted specifically a Montessori nursery to provide her the life-learning experiences and Abbeymore are providing that for her. We've seen great progress in her confidence, independence & social skills. The learning is play-based with a good balance of activities & routine. The food has helped improve her eating habits. Communication (via app or face to face) is clear & management is fair and flexible. Overall, we highly recommend the nursery.

My son transferred to Abbeymore a few months ago, following us moving house and relocating from another nursery. We're really pleased with Abbeymore. Our son has settled in well, enjoys the activities and loves the garden time, especially the pre-school garden which is a good size. This week he has made some pizza at nursery and loved it! Staff are friendly and he has made good relationships with several of the staff.

Would highly recommend Abbeymore Day nursery. The management team went above and beyond to ensure our daughter was fully settled in before starting at the nursery. The nursery is bright, clean and spacious and very well organised. Both the key staff members assigned to our daughter were exceptional and very easy and lovely to speak with. One member of staff, in particular, goes out of her way to ensure our child's needs are met and always assures us by providing additional information when required. The management team are also very hands on in the rooms interacting and taking care of the children.

We have had a good experience with Bright Horizons Abbeymore Day Nursery and Preschool. My child is transitioning to a new room and that came with some challenges. I was able to arrange a meeting with the necessary staff to help with this transition and to make it as smooth as possible.

I grew up in sunny South Africa where the people are as warm-hearted as the climate. Both my parents worked in education and taught us the importance of working hard from a young age. I spent my childhood playing outside and have fond memories of climbing trees and making mud pies!
After the birth of my daughter, I developed a keen interest in how young children learn and develop. Knowledge is power after all. I enrolled on a BA(Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies and went on to train as a Primary Teacher based in a Reception class. After the birth of my son, I worked in a private day nursery as a Preschool Teacher and later a Deputy Manager. Most recently, I have completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Early Years at the University of Reading with Early Years Teacher Status.
I live in Wokingham with my husband and two children. In my free time, I enjoy going for long walks in the countryside with our beloved Golden Retriever.
I hope to impart my knowledge and experience to my team so that each child in our setting can reach his or her full potential. My goal is to provide children with meaningful early years experiences so that they can develop a thirst for life-long learning.
Peninah's journey in childcare began in 2008, shortly after having her son. She quickly recognised her strong interest in supporting children to reach their full potential.
Over the years, she has gained a wealth of experience and qualifications. In June of last year, she successfully completed the Early Years Foundation Degree, further developing her knowledge and understanding of child development.
She has worked for Bright Horizons for many years and will be celebrating her 14th anniversary this September. During her time at Bright Horizons, she has been afforded opportunities to work in multiple settings and in a variety of roles.Her passion is to provide rich and stimulating environments in which children can thrive.
