The nursery operates from a beautifully converted Victorian house, spread over two floors, with seven spacious playrooms and outdoor play areas for your child to explore. The garden itself boasts a separate baby area, a sandpit, sensory stations, all-weather areas and is set within a spacious courtyard.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Their fees are inclusive of all meals, snacks, drinks, nappies and wipes- making the mornings a smooth process for their families. Their meals are cooked on site and they follow guidelines in order to ensure their menus are nutritionally planned.

When my daughter started at Abbeymore I was worried about her feeling comfortable with the other children as she'd only been with a childminder before and can be quite shy at first. However she was made to feel so welcome and she has absolutely loved being there since the very first day. I am really
pleased with the progress she's made since she started just under a year ago. The staff are lovely and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Abbeymore Day Nursery, my daughter is very happy here.

Both my children attended this nursery (total 6 years altogether). The staff are friendly and willing to help, my son has eczema and they helped to established what triggered flare ups. Some of the key workers are our friends now instead of somebody who was employed to look after my children. The
nursery itself is always looking at ways of how they can improve the service they can provide. They have a chef on site and the food was always enjoyed, my son always ate more at nursery than he ever did at home! Preschool provide extra curriculum activities eg, football, zumba and music lessons. The children have both been very happy here and are really sad that we are leaving because the youngest is school age now.

My little girl has been attending Abbeymore since she was 9 months old! She is now 2 and a half!! She loves her time at nursery and I feel that she had thrived and grown to be the little lady she is today in their care. The staff are extremely happy and I think it says something that a lot of staff
members have been there for years! The activities are great and I love that my daughter gets to play and learn at the same time! The food is great and it's lovely how it is all made on site! Management are always willing to help if there are any questions! I especially love their growing readers program, my little girl loves choosing a new book to bring home and read together .

Job Title: Nursery Manager

"Education is the most powerful weapon with which you can change the world" - Nelson Mandela.


I grew up in sunny South Africa where the people are as warm-hearted as the climate. Both my parents worked in education and taught us the importance of working hard from a young age. I spent my childhood playing outside and have fond memories of climbing trees and making mud pies!


After the birth of my daughter, I developed a keen interest in how young children learn and develop. Knowledge is power after all. I enrolled on a BA(Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies and went on to train as a Primary Teacher based in a Reception class. After the birth of my son, I worked in a private day nursery as a Preschool Teacher and later a Deputy Manager. Most recently, I have completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Early Years at the University of Reading with Early Years Teacher Status.


I live in Wokingham with my husband and two children. In my free time, I enjoy going for long walks in the countryside with our beloved Golden Retriever.


I hope to impart my knowledge and experience to my team so that each child in our setting can reach his or her full potential. My goal is to provide children with meaningful early years experiences so that they can develop a thirst for life-long learning.

Peninah's journey in childcare began in 2008, shortly after having her son. She quickly recognised her strong interest in supporting children to reach their full potential.


Over the years, she has gained a wealth of experience and qualifications. In June of last year, she successfully completed the Early Years Foundation Degree, further developing her knowledge and understanding of child development.


She has worked for Bright Horizons for many years and will be celebrating her 14th anniversary this September. During her time at Bright Horizons, she has been afforded opportunities to work in multiple settings and in a variety of roles.
Her passion is to provide rich and stimulating environments in which children can thrive.
