Seabrook Day Nursery is a purpose-built day nursery developed on behalf of the Luton and Dunstable Hospital to care for children of the Trust employees and the local community. They have achieved a distinction with their Green Flag Eco-Schools award.

The nursery has five main playrooms with additional sleeping areas, offering a happy, sociable environment where every child is treated as an individual. The downstairs rooms have access directly to outside areas where children are able to explore and extend the learning offered indoors.

The team of highly qualified and experienced staff are passionate to inspire and develop each child's skills.

Seabrook Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Tiny Mites every Tuesday between 9:30am and 11:30am.

My daughter has been attending Seabrook Nursery for over a year now, starting off in the Butterflies room and transitioning to pre-school in September 2020. She absolutely loves it at Seabrook and is always telling us about the fun things she has been doing with the staff and her friends. There is a
really good focus on developing children and updating us via Parentzone of what activities our daughter has been doing and she has become more confident and encouraged to learn. During the pandemic, staff have gone out of their way to help parents and keep the children entertained. We have been very grateful for the support provided at such a difficult time.

I have previously written reviews online about the nursery since my son has started here because he has come on leaps and bounds with his learning, confidence, social skills and eating since being here but I wanted to do another review for the nursery now for how well I feel the nursery on a whole have
dealt with COVID-19. They have stayed open during the pandemic, the communication/emails have been great with all the updates on guidelines and safety measures. So I was really reassured to send my son back to the nursery. The staff have been amazing throughout as usual. Well done Seabrook!

Our daughter joined the nursery in April 2020. She has always been quite shy and struggled to be separated from me. Since joining Seabrook, I have seen my daughter grow into a confident and independent little girl. She has improved her speaking, drawing and general interaction skills. The staff are

My son started attending Seabrook when he was 11 months old, I was very anxious about leaving him as he had not been left with anyone else besides grandparents before. The staff at Seabrook were so professional and caring, they understood my worries and really helped support me through this difficult
transition. I looked at many nurseries before choosing Seabrook and I knew as soon as I walked into the building that this was the place I wanted to send my child, the atmosphere was lovely all staff welcoming and the manager really went above and beyond with showing me around the nursery and answering my many, many questions that I had. It was lovely that the manager made that effort to get to know the parents and even now stops to have a chat with me to check in and see how both my son and I are doing.
Seabrook really is an outstanding nursery and my son has thrived in their care.

My son joined Seabrook in 2019. He settled in really well and the staff in Ladybirds have been amazing and supportive. Seabrook has many events throughout the year. I and my son have attended some and it is a great way to meet other parents and a chance for the children to see each other out of the
nursery. Overall an amazing nursery and I look forward to seeing him go through.

Both my children have thrived at Seabrook. So much emphasis is put on an individual child's interest which makes every child feel valued. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed being taken to Tesco's Bakery to explore her love of baking.
The staff really care about every child and my child's development has

This is the best experience for our child and also us the parents. The child is well looked after and the teaching at Seabrook is more hands-on. We are also told about the child's progress and what we need to work on for our child's progress which we really appreciate. I would strongly recommend this
nursery to my family and friends as it is the most unique nursery for any kid to learn and progress fast and achieve milestones on time.

I have two sons who have both attended Seabrook from 2009-2012 and 2016 to date. During both of these times, I feel that my boys have had outstanding care. Currently, my son is in preschool and I feel that he is well prepared for the transition to school. The room setting is engaging and the care is

My granddaughter comes to Seabrook and really enjoys coming to nursery. When I have her in the week she is always talking about what she has done in nursery. When I picked her up I got asked to go grandparents day, which is a great idea!

Becky Smith

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 1997

Becky is the Manager of Seabrook Day Nursery in Luton and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 23 years. Becky has a Level 2 & 3 in Childcare and Education, Level 2 & 3 in Customer Care and also Level 3 and 4 in Management. Becky had previously worked with Childbase Partnership for 20 years and has recently returned as Manager.


What is your favourite feature of Seabrook?
Each room has access to the nursery garden, the rooms are large and bright.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I am proud of the passion and engagement of the staff team.
