Cherry Trees is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art nursery on the Cranfield University site.

Providing large spacious rooms and a fantastic garden, children’s imaginations are inspired on a daily basis by the established and experienced practitioners.

Cherry Trees also offer the extracurricular activity of Starshine Yoga every other Monday and Tiny Mites music on a Thursday.

A fully inclusive service is provided to all families offering a convenient service.

Cherry Trees have been fantastic with helping my daughter settle in. Staff are always friendly and helpful and always smiling. From the minute you walk in you feel the warmth of the nursery. My daughter has been really happy and from seeing her observation I can see she enjoys herself.

My daughter started in caterpillars and settled quickly with the staff being so kind and gentle. She soon formed relationships with the staff as they got to know her and was always happy going in.
She is now in 'Ladybirds' and transitioned smoothly with all of the support given.
She enjoys being
at nursery with all of the wonderful activities and experiences the staff provide.
The staff always give thorough feedback on how she has been and I can keep up to date on her progress by viewing her learning journey at any time.
I am very pleased with this nursery and feel relaxed and happy leaving my daughter here.

I highly recommend this nursery! Staff have ensured that my son (and everyone else of course) has the best of care, a great time, as well as learning. Staff are always very helpful and know all the children well. All children always seem happy and friendly, as a result. This nursery has made my return
to work less stressful - I never need to worry, my son is in good hands!

The nursery has a spacious and descent place to accommodate children. Its garden very unique and my daughter in particular loves it there. The carers are very friendly and accommodating. My daughter joined them at almost 2yr and by then she wasn't talking. Few days of pre school I notice her talking
and displaying a lot of talents like painting, singing, dancing among others. She' s doing very well and I'm grateful to the nursery staff. Thank you so much and please keep up the excellent work.

The staff are all trained to a high standard, they all go above and beyond for children in the rooms they work in and all others in the nursery. Management are approachable and always willing to help where they can. The facilities are always clean and the outdoor space is amazing. The best choice I've

Cherry Trees have cared for my child for almost 2 years. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that my child is always safe, well looked after and happy. She has progressed so much since going to this nursery and I believe her transition to school will be an easier task as the nursery has worked
hard in getting her ready for it. The new building is great too and I think that every staff member from both the ladybird room and butterfly room have been completely outstanding. My child has made strong friendships with both staff and other children and she is now more confident than ever thanks to Cherry Trees.

Our daughter has settled in well into her daily routine at Cherry Trees.
She enjoys making friends and all the varied activities on offer.

Our daughter loves Cherry Trees. In the morning when we drop her off, she runs off to play and when we collect her she just wants to keep going.
The staff are very good and she seems very happy to be with them and they all know her well.

Fantastic staff, very caring.
Made my son feel very comfortable and settled when he started.
They really take the time to get to know each child (likes/dislikes).
Staff are very professional at all times. Children are always entertained with a variety of activities.

Our 3 year old daughter started nursery here following a move from a nursery she had been at since 8 months old. The settling in sessions were a very positive experience. The facilities at Cherry Trees are excellent and the space used very well - areas change "use" regularly - maybe a construction site,
then bakery etc which really fuels the imagination. Our daughter loves the outside space and freedom it provides. The staff have been instrumental in helping our daughter settle and often share stories of what our daughter has said or done throughout the day which builds trust that she is being listened to and interacted with. Our daughter is in the pre-school room and staff are starting to ask for more organised sessions for letters etc. which we hope will provide a good foundation for school. Really pleased with the nursery.

Cherry Trees is like an extended family - supportive, nurturing, friendly, welcoming and the best place for my son to attend! The building is utterly spectacular but what makes this nursery special is the people. Having moved my son from the first nursery he attended, I was anxious about him starting
at Cherry Trees. I did not need to be anxious at all. The care he has received is truly wonderful, the activities provided are exciting and fun, every member of staff goes above and beyond and we feel lucky to be a part of this 'outstanding' place.
The parent zone app allows parents to see snapshots of their child's day which is lovely for us to view at home together. Communication is excellent, learning areas are extremely clean, tidy and well thought out and the outside area is fun, stimulating and creative. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. If you are considering a nursery for your child, this is definitely the place to go!

Both of my daughters have received exceptional care from the staff. They are very welcoming and friendly to both children and parents. There is a wide range of activities to do, we especially like they way my daughter was able to learn tennis. The food available is excellent and suits are needs perfectly.

This nursery is wonderful. The staff are friendly and so enthusiastic with the children. My daughter runs in every morning excited about what her morning there is going to bring her. The rooms are full of tables containing all sorts of activities, sand, water, dollies, shape shakers etc. There are colourful
pictures on the wall that the children have made that are constantly updated. Outside are is also filled with many activities for the children. When picking my daughter up the staff always have stories about what funny things my daughter has been doing, not just what she has had to eat and how many nappies she has had. A fantastic place!.

My daughter is very well cared for at Cherry Trees, and I am extremely happy with her care. The new nursery is extremely well equipped, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this nursery to any potential parent. It is not my closest nursery, however well worth the travel!

The staff are always welcoming, cheerful and helpful. They handle the children with kindness and genuine affection. My son can sometimes be a bit clingy at the drop off's in the morning but the staff are superb at getting him interested in the fun activities going on. This helps make the drop off's
so much easier.

My son loves his time at Cherry Trees. His key person is fantastic. He had developed a lot since starting and I only realised he could walk while pushing the trolley because staff told me he could! the meals are excellent and staff really encourage my son to feed himself and learn to use a spoon. I
have also found all the staff very sympathetic and proactive when it became apparent my son had some medical needs requiring the admission of emergency medicine (luckily he hasn't needed this yet) but I'm confident staff would deal with it well.

Although my son only attends nursery one day a week he always has a good day and takes part in a range of exciting activities. I love the fact that most weeks he has spent time outside in the garden, even in the cold/windy/rainy weather. All staff at Cherry Trees are polite and friendly and I love how
everyone knows my son's name. I am always greeted with a smile when entering the building and as I leave staff always say "have a good/evening/weekend." I know that my son is well looked after at Cherry Trees which is all a parent can ask for!

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2010

Amy is the Manager of Cherry Trees Day Nursery in Cranfield and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector since 1994. Amy has numerous qualifications such as BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies, BTEC and SEND training and has worked for Childbase since March 2010.


What is your favourite feature of Cherry Trees?
The open spacious rooms, as well as the atrium which is a communal space where all age groups can learn and explore together.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
From when we made the move from our smaller nursery building to our current purpose-built eco setting; the transition was flawless and was followed by a huge growth in occupancy. My team are just amazing; although we have grown over the years by double, we've never lost the 'family feel'. Everyone is so positive and caring towards each other, and recent events have shown just what a united team we are. Everyone is keen to play their part and contribute to our success in whatever form that might present itself. Most recently it has been about adapting to huge changes and they have done it so well, I'm very proud to be a part of their team.
