Cherry Trees is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art nursery on the Cranfield University site.

Providing large spacious rooms and a fantastic garden, children’s imaginations are inspired on a daily basis by the established and experienced practitioners.

Cherry Trees also offer the extracurricular activity of Starshine Yoga every other Monday and Tiny Mites music on a Thursday.

A fully inclusive service is provided to all families offering a convenient service.

My husband and I are very grateful for the excellent provision of care provided by Cherry Trees during the COVID19 outbreak, we could not do our key worker jobs without their support. The nursery manager and regional manager, as well as our daughter's key workers, have always engaged and worked with
us to meet her needs both pre and post-pandemic. Childbase Partnership as a company have gone out of their way to ensure during these dynamic times that my daughter's needs are met and remains settled and happy.

My little one took a long time to settle into the nursery environment, but the staff couldn't have been more helpful and supportive in making her feel at home there. I have no worries that her needs are being catered for and would highly recommend them.

Could not recommend Cherry Trees highly enough! The team are all fantastic and so caring towards our little boy.
He’s come on leaps and bounds since starting at the nursery, and that’s absolutely down to the team, who keep him well stimulated and have quickly recognised his strengths, which they actively
nurture.
The nursery building is great too, being purposely built with lots of large spaces for play and a big garden too.
We’re so glad we chose Cherry Trees and will be sending our second child there when the time comes. Highly recommended!

Since my son has started Cherry Trees, he has improved dramatically in all areas. He’s a naturally quiet, shy boy, but his confidence has soared since being there.
The staff are just brilliant; calm, patient and have really helped him to learn and develop himself socially and academically in a really
fun engaging way.
My son loves to play in the big garden outside, but especially loves the walks they take to the shops and the woodland trail behind the nursery. He always comes home full of stories about what he’s done that day. Couldn’t be happier with my decision. Thanks, Cherry Trees!

Our son started up with Cherry Trees in January. At first, we were naturally excited for our boy but also anxious as this is our first time as parents.
The staff at the nursery are amazing, they truly go above and beyond for the children.
Our boy comes home every day with a sheet telling us exactly
what he’s eaten and also the fun activities that he has been doing throughout the day.
I cannot speak highly enough of the whole set up and brilliant staff, from the lovely receptionists, always happy and smiley to the carers that are just amazing with all the kids.
Our son is definitely developing into an amazing little boy and a huge part of this is the staff here at Cherry Trees.

Cherry Trees has made the whole process very easy and comforting for both me and my daughter. She is my first so was nervous about leaving her but the settling in sessions were brilliant and the staff have been amazing. I am able to call and check up on her if I need to, they update the app regularly
so I can see how she is progressing throughout the day and also her end of day summary is detailed so I can find out everything I need to know. I have been able to trust the nursery which is what I wanted. Also, she has developed so well.

We are so happy we picked Cherry Trees Nursery. Our daughter has settled in so well. She was extremely shy when she started but has been supported throughout and now is much more confident and comfortable. She has built a great relationship with her key worker and has learnt so much she loves telling
us about her day and we love seeing updates about her progress and what she has got up to online. We especially love the outside space at Cherry Trees and the freedom the children have to spend time outside which our daughter loves. The team at Cherry Trees are always helpful and are happy to answer any questions.

A lovely, warm and welcoming team of people, always welcomed with a smile. The staff are brilliant with my son who has a number of allergies, I never feel worried about leaving him. Ladybirds team always give me a debrief each day and I find it really useful. Great bunch of people!

The staff at Caterpillars have been more than amazing. My child loves being here. I know he is well looked after and well observed. We had a situation recently when he wasn't well and they responded promptly and in the best manner, and also looked after me when I got upset. Such a reassuring experience.

Our son joined Cherry Trees in September, and we could not be happier with our choice. The nursery is clean, the staff are incredibly friendly and look after our son with care and compassion.
The facilities are excellent and the activities are varied and vast. The menus are nutritious and take into
account all dietary requirements.
Our son has made so much progress in the 6 weeks he has been here and we would like to thank all the staff for their amazing work.
It means a lot to us as parents that he is in a safe, caring environment so we never have to worry while at work.

Our daughter has spent 2 1/2 years at Cherry Trees, it was an easy decision to choose them as our childcare provider as their professionalism, friendliness and superb facilities shone through at our viewing. We think they have provided a lovely nurturing environment for her to learn and grow, provided
interesting activities and topics to learn about. The staff are a great example to the children showing dedication and enthusiasm. Their care has been excellent, from tackling fearful drop-offs to handling tricky situations such as toilet training. They have also been on hand to give advice and tips to try at home. Food is varied and interesting whilst also following healthy and sustainable guidelines. In all, we feel we have placed our daughter in the very best of hands.

Cherry Trees is an excellent nursery. During my daughters time here, she has grown into a confident and happy little girl. She has progressed through all rooms and I can say we have been gutted to leave each room and staff set:- I needed have worried though as they are all excellent. The work the staff
put in to engage and develop the children is second to none and I'm in no doubt she is ready for her next journey at school.

I am extremely impressed with Cherry Trees Nursery. They are an outstanding setting which has the ability to look after children at multiple ages.
On a daily basis, children are given the opportunity to learn and develop multiple skills and activities which provides them with mental stimulation and
positive growth.

My husband and I are very pleased with Cherry Trees Day Nursery. They are all very friendly, approachable and supportive staff. Facilities are great - both indoors and outdoors. My son has learned a lot from attending 3 days a week.
He can count to 15 and knows the alphabet and he is only 2.5 years
old. Curriculum is excellent and he really enjoys going to the nursery too.

My daughter is in Bumblebees and has been in the nursery since starting in Caterpillars. The setting is very welcoming and friendly. My daughter always looks forward to coming and enjoys her time. We've always been impressed with the friendliness and approachable nature of all staff. We know that the development and learning at the nursery is important but are always excited to hear about the new activities that our child has been taken part in. For me, attending an all-inclusive nursery means
that we have more time at home to enjoy together rather than spending that time preparing meals etc to take the next day.

Amy is the Manager of Cherry Trees Day Nursery in Cranfield and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector since 1994. Amy has numerous qualifications such as BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies, BTEC and SEND training and has worked for Childbase since March 2010.


What is your favourite feature of Cherry Trees?
The open spacious rooms, as well as the atrium which is a communal space where all age groups can learn and explore together.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
From when we made the move from our smaller nursery building to our current purpose-built eco setting; the transition was flawless and was followed by a huge growth in occupancy. My team are just amazing; although we have grown over the years by double, we've never lost the 'family feel'. Everyone is so positive and caring towards each other, and recent events have shown just what a united team we are. Everyone is keen to play their part and contribute to our success in whatever form that might present itself. Most recently it has been about adapting to huge changes and they have done it so well, I'm very proud to be a part of their team.
