Bright Horizons Shortlands Day Nursery and Preschool

Her sleeping has taken longer than expected to adjust as perhaps as a nursery it's not best suited to young babies who are on two naps due to the sleeping arrangements (there is not a separate room with cots).

As soon as I viewed this nursery I knew it was perfect for my daughter. The staff are all so caring and friendly. The activities they do with her are fun and educational and she gets excited about going. They have encouraged her to try lots of new healthy foods and there is great communication. Since moving into preschool, her confidence has grown and she has made so many friends.

I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. The staff and management were so helpful and friendly.

This nursery is brilliant, we get great updates about our child and development reviews. He loves going and enjoys all the activities there. The members of staff are all really friendly and helpful and overall, the nursery is a lovely place for the children to be.

I am very pleased with the nursery. Staff are lovely and my son always had a good time at his nursery. He remembers the names of all the teachers and not once complained about anything. From my point of view, the nursery has always been accommodating, including medication when necessary, information and also local knowledge of schools in the area. I would recommend the nursery to anyone close to me.

My experience with this nursery has truly been amazing, all the staff go above and beyond. I will truly miss them all!

Bright Horizons Shortlands has been great beyond words. My daughter is now trying and testing foods she would have once refused. She has really thrived in the setting. The teachers are caring and helpful. My son adores all of them. He loved all the activities. We are very grateful we and our son received such excellent care! We will truly miss you, as my son is going to school in September.

My daughter moved to Bright Horizons Shortlands from another Bright Horizons nursery that closed for refurbishment. The staff helped her to settle in well and she has grown in confidence over the past ten months. Although she will be the youngest in her new primary school year, she has been well prepared by the nursery to start school. We have been very happy with the nursery and the staff who have cared for her so well.

Very nice school that our children enjoy. The practitioners are very professional and cooperative.

Our children attended Bright Horizons Shortlands for the last year in different groups. They have been in other settings before and the staff at Shortlands were very good at helping them settle in. The children enjoyed their time in the nursery and they have learned a lot during their time there. The older one also enjoyed a lot his time in pre-school and the fact that they have done the prepping for school days and the overall activities. They have also benefited from spending a lot of time together in the garden and play with each other and the staff was always great at helping them rely on each other if they needed support to get back into the nursery schedule after a break. The graduation celebration for the children in pre-school was also very well organised and the staff put a lot of thought and effort into making sure children and parents get to enjoy a special day.

Every time we drop our daughter off, our daughter has such a big smile when she sees all staff members. She loves them. The staff seem genuinely very happy to see her. She is developing so well there. She does activities (artistic) that we would struggle to do at home as well as they do at nursery, which helps her development. We trust the staff and know she is in great hands. We feel relieved that we are leaving her in the care of the staff. Her diet is varied there.

We have been at Shortlands Day Nursery for three years and have been very happy with our overall experience. The staff are warm, friendly and professional. The communication is very good via the app. Most importantly, our child always seems happy and cared for.

My child has really enjoyed her time at the nursery, making lots of friends and with a wide range of activities. She always looks forward to nursery and it has prepared her well for school.

Excellent nursery run by a well-managed and extremely hard-working team. All of the staff who have worked with my children have taken the time to get to know our children, which has really supported their development. Would definitely recommend to other parents.
