Amazing staff, Celine is so happy, a few hiccups at the start about her milk intake but all resolved and very thoughtful. Would love if more focus is on developing 1 year old standing and walking skills to emulate environment at home / keep things consistent

Love bright horizons! Staff turnover low, lovely members of staff, cute activities and so good with my daughter who can be very shy.

Everyone has been so attentive and supportive of my child

My son attended Bright horizons shortlands from the age of 2 years till reception.
He thrived during his time there- and still talks about wanting to back to see his teachers.
I appreciated the systems in place to ensure his safety- as my son has food allergies.
Staff were caring and
consistent- and seemed to have good relationships with all the children. Very happy with my experience and planning to send my younger son here soon.

Our experience with Bright Horizons Shortlands has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very first day, the warmth and care shown by the entire team made us feel confident that our child was in the best possible hands.
The staff are not only highly professional but also genuinely nurturing.
They take the time to understand each child's personality, interests and needs, ensuring they feel safe, valued and encouraged to grow. The communication with parents is excellent - we are always kept informed about our child's activities, progress and milestones, with lovely photos and thoughtful updates.
What truly stands out is the genuine love and dedication the staff show. They create an atmosphere where children are not just cared for but truly cherished. As parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your child is happy, safe and thriving.
We are incredibly grateful to the nursery and we couldn't recommend them more highly.

A wonderful nursery, the staff are excellent. The nursery is very well run and they really set your little one up for school. They're always doing creative and fun activities and make the most of all of the outdoor space and garden, I highly recommend.

We have two children at the nursery (Preschool & toddler) who both started last year after we moved to the area. We are so happy with our decision - our children love going in every day and always have a smile on their face at pickup. The communication is excellent and we love seeing all the
pictures and the notes. The staff are kind and fun and really pay attention to the children's needs whilst providing creative activities. You can tell they have both formed really strong bonds with many of the teachers.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to any parent!

My son started when he was two as he attended another nursery however due to moving home needed a nursery closer to my other child's school. The staff are amazing and were very supportive of his transition and settling in days. They also helped with potty training.
They do many activities with the
children and keep you updated throughout the day. If I ever need an extra sessions they are always accommodating.
Best decision I made moving my son to bright horizons.

We love this nursery for our little girl. She started as a 6-month-old baby and the adapting period was prepared to meet her needs and prepare for regular sessions. All staff members are lovely and genuinely love children. Every day is filled with a lot of stimulating their curiosity activities
which are then beautifully presented to parents. Baby feels very comfortable and approaches the door with a smile on her face. Would highly recommend this nursery!

I have been helping my sister with collection of my nephew at nursery for the last month. I am so impressed with the security they had in place for when I collected. The team have been warm and welcoming to me from the get go and I love seeing how happy and engaged my nephew is. When I have children
my nursery choice will be Bright Horizons Shortlands Day Nursery and Preschool!

My daughter joined Bright Horizons Shortlands Day Nursery mid-February this year and although she did struggle to separate from me, the nursery staff made her feel comfortable and safe. She first started in nursery class and I want to thank everyone involved there for helping me with potty training
and making my life much easier. My daughter was all ready for the preschool class and had plenty of time to concentrate in her learning and development with the preschool team afterwards.
I am honestly so grateful for all the support I received, as the parent, during a very difficult time I have been going through whilst my daughter was attending the nursery and I'm very happy for my daughter to have had a positive and supportive relationship with the nursery and preschool staff.
Thank you to the manager and all staff.
Thank you for giving my daughter a great start to education.

Bright Horizons Shortlands has changed everything for us as a family. My little boy had not settled at his previous nursery, and after 6 months, still continued to cry when going in every morning.
I approached Bright Horizons as I needed a short turnaround for the start date.
He has loved every
minute and has not cried once since starting. He is happy and excited to go to nursery, and this brings me so much joy.
He also had/has ongoing issues with his speech but has come so far since joining.
Thank you all but a big thank you to his key person.

Our daughter started at 13 months old in the baby room during COVID when we couldn't view inside the nursery and couldn't undertake settling sessions with her. As first-time parents, this was obviously very difficult but the team at Bright Horizons Shortlands Day Nursery and Preschool were so
accommodating and reassuring that our daughter quickly settled and was always happy to go in. She has now just left to go to school.
Throughout her time in the different rooms, the staff have been kind, warm and approachable. There is low staff turnover which contributes to the lovely, family feel and to our daughter developing in confidence throughout her time there. The nursery facilities have been updated recently and the activities planned by the team are always enjoyed and appropriate.
Our second child now also attends Shortlands and we are equally happy with her progress.
I'd highly recommend this nursery to other families in the area.

We've had a wonderful experience with Bright Horizons Shortlands Day Nursery and Preschool! There is a very personal feel to the nursery and all the staff know the children well (and parents) and are happy to discuss how your little one is doing. We were so pleased with the settling process,
management and the key workers took a really, baby-led, flexible approach and were happy to accommodate what was required for our little one to feel settled. The facilities are great and there seem to be lots of fun activities going on (ball pit, messy play, painting etc.) which we get regular pictures of and updates. Overall, we couldn't recommend this nursery more, our little one loves going there and reaches out grinning to all of the staff as soon as we arrive which is so nice and reassuring! Bright Horizons Shortlands is a great, well-run nursery, made even nicer by a welcoming, really warm team.

I am very happy with the nursery, my daughter enjoys coming on her three days. She enjoys lots of activities that are planned well everyday. The staff and management are very attentive to her needs. Overall, I am very happy with this nursery.

We have loved our Bright Horizons Shortlands experience. Both of our children have loved coming here and they have developed key social skills. The activities and experiences set up daily are imaginable and impressive and the kids love to tell us about their day. Communication with the new app is
great and a great addition during our time here. The activities where they leave the nursery are also a great experience for the kids. It's very difficult being working parents (full time- and we're highly appreciative of the care shown at Bright Horizons Shortlands.

My child really enjoys going to nursery and clearly loves the staff at Bright Horizons. We feel she is very safe, secure and well looked after during the day, which is all we can ask for as first-time parents.
Her sleeping has taken longer than expected to adjust as perhaps as a nursery it's not
best suited to young babies who are on two naps due to the sleeping arrangements (there is not a separate room with cots).

My daughter attends Bright Horizons Shortlands Day Nursery and Preschool and really enjoys it.
As soon as I viewed this nursery I knew it was perfect for my daughter. The staff are all so caring and friendly. The activities they do with her are fun and educational and she gets excited about going.
They have encouraged her to try lots of new healthy foods and there is great communication. Since moving into preschool, her confidence has grown and she has made so many friends.

I needed emergency care for my three children. The youngest of which had not yet been in a nursery setting as was only 3 months at the time.
The staff helped me with making me feel at ease and reassuring me, they were excellent with the children.
One member of staff, in particular, especially
helped by looking after my 3-month-old and giving me any updates I needed.
When we looked around the setting we were so happy with the clean facilities and beautiful gardens they had.
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. The staff and management were so helpful and friendly.
