Little Bear's on Wanstead Green is a friendly and welcoming nursery that prides itself on strong parent relationships and on creating a stimulating environment for the children in its care.

All childcarers are highly qualified, support age-specific learning goals, and focus on creating an atmosphere of respect and positive behaviour.

The nursery has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment programme to expand facilities to include an independent sensory room and age-specific garden areas within the large garden. As part of their commitment to children's wellbeing, the setting has an air filtration system designed to extract all airborne pollutants from the incoming air supply.

Very lucky to have this nursery on our doorstep. My son and daughter attend here and love it, the staff are all very lovely and really take care of them. Great outdoor area and sensory room too. Would highly recommend.

Little Bear's on Wanstead Green have been fantastic from the beginning and my two year old absolutely loves going there. She eats well, is never bored and is well taken care of by the lovely staff that she adores. I have seen so much development from my little girl and can see how much she's grown

My daughter attended Little Bear's on Wanstead Green between the ages of 11 months - 2 years old. The team were super friendly and caring towards her. The managers are great, very approachable and had genuine care for our child. The girls in the room were wonderful, so caring and took great care in
helping our daughter develop into the confident bright girl that she is. The fear of my baby crying when we drop her off was swiftly gone, she greeted them all with open arms and would always talk about them at home. We had her taken out of the setting because we moved across London otherwise would have stayed. I would highly recommend this nursery setting and they have really made a great impact on her early year's development.

The nursery settled our child in very well despite the difficulties surrounding Covid and have taken all appropriate measures. The outdoor space is amazing and regularly used. The food menu makes the adults quite envious!

Excellent nursery, all the staff take such an interest. Everyone seems to know my daughter, even those who don’t look after her on a daily basis. Our 3-year-old daughter has been coming here since September and we couldn’t ask for her to be better settled. She loves going to nursery and she talks fondly of the staff. Through the nursery app, I receive regular feedback of her activities and “moments”, her eating and sleeping and in addition, the
staff are always proactively sharing information. The nursery does a wonderful job of taking the children out into the community: the park, library, church and more. The best thing is the caring, positive and active environment Little Bears has created. We are very very happy!

Our experience with Little Bears has been excellent. The staff are caring, friendly and our daughter is very happy. We are impressed by the breadth of activities our daughter does, the bond she has made with her key worker. The food is great too - would thoroughly recommend it.

I cannot recommend Little Bears on Wanstead Green highly enough.
Our son joined at 5-months-old and has attended nearly three years full time.
All the staff has been so caring and attentive over the years, not only with the children but also with the parents. They have always been available to discuss,
providing guidance when required. He is now a confident pre-schooler, and that has a lot to do with his time at Little Bears. On top of that, the management goes above and beyond for the children, organising regular outings, themed days, creating activities at nursery but also for the children to take home. Our son is always in their office “helping”.

Staff are really friendly, I am always feeling that my daughter is safe and I can go and focus on my job. Always I can count on them when I need. My daughter always is happy to go there, she had been developing her learning, social skills.

My review was very positive – having had my elder child at a different nursery (generally well regarded but sadly our experience was not good – my son had developmental issues, later diagnosed with autism, and he was not well supported at all) I am having a hugely better experience with Little Bears.
I think the higher levels of experience and low turnover among the staff, as well as the fact that the nursery is small, makes for a very expert and stable environment where the children are well known as individuals by everyone. It’s been great so far!

A calm, welcoming, professionally run nursery. Very attentive staff including the management who take time to get to know each child individually. Brilliant activities for the children including a huge garden for everyone to enjoy. I can’t fault the care my son gets, his development has come on a great

My daughter has been going to Little Bears on Wanstead Green since she was 7 months old and we couldn’t be happier.
Carers are very attentive and genuinely involved in the children’s development, they have an excellent knowledge of every child’s personality and attribute. Most carers have been working
at Little Bears for many years and the staff turnover is minimal which is great for the children as they get to know each other even better and have consistency as they grow. The food is great and varied and children are encouraged to be as independent as possible.
The nursery organises plenty of activities within the building and outings. The children are taken to the very well equipped garden every day, even in winter.
Little Bears on Wanstead Green is a small nursery and tend to have only 6 children per class and up to 3 carers per class which gives the children almost a one to one care/attention.

The hunt for a nursery for our daughter was much more difficult than we had expected given the location. After having visited all of the local nurseries we were disappointed in some way or another, space, hygiene, staff, but Little Bears on the Green was a just amazing all around. From the moment we
walked in we felt it was right and our daughter showed interest which she hadn't in the previous nurseries. 8 months later, that decision has not been regretted. Our daughter enjoys the nursery, staff are great, meals great, and she has shown good progress in her development. Best of all the staff turnover is low so the children stay familiar with the staff. Facilities are great and we get updates throughout the day of the child's progress. Management is friendly and approachable and the location is convenient for access by car, underground and buses whichever you choose.

My one year old has been at Little Bears since October and I could not be happier with the nursery. The staff provide so much love and affection for him, which is the most important thing for me. They care about his happiness and also his development. I think this is also helped by how they keep the
room numbers small, six in the baby room. The app which provides daily updates (including cute photos) and detailed reports of the little one’s day is fab, so I can check any time how he’s doing. The management are very available and responsive to any queries. They seem to really like involving parents in nursery life which is lovely. When they have a party for a celebration, such as Halloween or Christmas, the effort that goes into making the nursery look spectacular for the children is amazing. Very grateful for this place.

I have been working in the Childcare sector for 16 years from babysitting, nannying and then working my way up from being an Early Years Practitioner all the way to a Nursery Manager.


I love watching children learn and grow and it is always exciting to know that not one day will be the same with them. It's wonderful to see how much children change over the years and to see them take that big step into Reception.


Now having my own child, I can see first-hand how important these first years are and how much can do to help shape and mould the children for their future.
