Little Bear's on Wanstead Green is a friendly and welcoming nursery that prides itself on strong parent relationships and on creating a stimulating environment for the children in its care.

All childcarers are highly qualified, support age-specific learning goals, and focus on creating an atmosphere of respect and positive behaviour.

The nursery has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment programme to expand facilities to include an independent sensory room and age-specific garden areas within the large garden. A wonderful and positive environment! The staff are very loving and do a wonderful job taking care of and teaching the kids. It was obvious that the nursery had our son’s well being, learning, and social emotional growth as a priority. My son loved going to this nursery. Would highly recommend this

We have been delighted with Little Bear's on the Green since our daughter started here when she was 11 months old. The staff are caring and attentive and have all taken the time to get to know our daughter, regardless of whether they work directly alongside her or not. The nursery has a full range of
activities, including outdoor and messy play that our daughter really seems to enjoy. The notifications from the management are very helpful and we appreciate the range of activities they do to include parents. We would highly recommend this nursery as a child care setting to any parent.

Our first impression with Little Bear's was the way staff were very friendly and very welcoming. Whenever we had any issues Little Bear's was able to solve it efficiently.
Our son had speech delay and a few other issues and as parents, we were always worried because when our son needed anything he
wasn’t able to express. Little Bear's was very good in terms of supporting him to overcome the issue. They were able to get extra funding to get one to one help and support our son. Probably the best thing that had happened for our little one and now he is able to speak a lot more and his speech is a lot clearer. We are so pleased with his progression and now we are so much more relaxed.
I highly recommend Little Bear's to any parents out there. I know how it feels to leave your loved one behind for a whole day whilst you’re at work. Also, they have an App which you can log into to monitor.
I am going to be very sad that my son won't be there next year as he is going to be at Primary school.

I have trusted Little Bear's on The Green with looking after my children for the last 5 years and they are GREAT! My eldest attended this nursery and my youngest is currently there.


I have always been impressed with the care and attention staff have given to the children and the kids always look

like they've had a great time by the end of the day. They offer various activities throughout the week (football, French, yoga etc) and the food is fresh and very tasty. They have a large, shaded garden at the back which the kids can use every day.


The communication between nursery and parent is frequent so you're always up to date on how your child is doing. Additional activities such as Halloween/Christmas parties are always a hit and a great opportunity to meet other parents too.


I'll be sad to see my son leave when he starts school next year but I know he's grown into a confident and bright little boy thanks largely in part to the wonderful staff at Little Bear's.

One of the best nurseries where she felt like being home. She was so comfortable since the day of her settling. She was always looking forward to meeting her friends and teachers every day. As a mum, I could be the luckiest when she says she wants to stay longer when I go to pick her up which is such
a great relief. She was moulded into a confident girl ready to school. Finally, I cannot thank them enough for making her try healthy foods including vegetables and fruits. She left with a lot of good memories. I would greatly recommend this nursery if anyone who wants to leave their kid with the best hands and stay focused on their work without worries.

Great staff and management. My son came to the nursery with speech therapy problems, now he doesn't stop talking with the help of his key worker. There are many activities that are in place to keep the children occupied and happy. Definitely, recommend this nursery!

I visited many Nurseries in the area of Wanstead as there is a lot. But little Bears (on the Green) stood out by far! It’s a small and cosy place which is very accessible and right next to the tube station so we can go to work from there.
They are very welcoming of all families and all the staff know
my little boy’s name not just his key worker. This so important because for a first-time mother. My little one loves coming to this nursery and you know this because the parent zone tells me he ate all his food and slept very well. The pictures we receive bring a smile to our faces and make us feel like we are kept involved. The meals are very healthy and nutritious and they have many fun activities to play, themed parties and decorations. Always playing outdoors which is great for the kids to have fresh air. The managers are always in communication with parents. I feel it was the best choice for our little one.

The team worked well with my daughter to get her settled. I am very happy to see that my daughter is now eager to attend the nursery. My child is happy and I received regular updates, so I know she's safe and happy.


We visited about 6 nurseries before our visit to the Little Bear's nursery and all

6 times we felt disappointed. With Little Bear's we accepted the place on the same day. Totally thrilled with our choice.

After nearly 4 wonderful years, my twins are about to embark on their school journey. They have absolutely thrived at Little Bear's and leave with nothing but lovely memories which they will cherish forever. I have watched my children grow from small babies into confident and independent young children.
The love, attention and nurturing they have received has been excellent with committed caring and consistent staff backed up by very strong management. The environment is fun and secure with a warm homely feel. Parents are engaged daily with accessible communications, pictures and parent events. My twins have benefitted from the EYFS framework as well as the extracurricular activities such as French, Makaton, football, gymnastics and even yoga. They recall fondly their outdoor excursions such as the trips to the forests, library, park and museums. We thank Little Bear's for everything they have done and wish them all the best!

I was really nervous about my son starting nursery for the first time but Little Bear's completely put me at ease. My son has absolutely loved it there and has formed such a lovely relationship with all the staff. I’ve felt comfortable and extremely happy leaving him in their hands. Every morning we
were greeted with a smile without fail. They were great looking after him if he ever fell unwell and his personal development since starting has surprised me. He was loved and cared for and I am very sad to have to move!

The Little Bear's Nursery on the Green has been very accommodating to my daughter's needs. All the staff in pre-school go above and beyond in looking after her.

We moved our son to this nursery because we thought his old one was closing down. We are so pleased that we did. The level of thought and care that goes into Little Bears is exceptional. My son is so happy here and genuinely looks forward to his nursery days. He loves all the extra activities such as
football and Jo Jingles. There are lots of fun outings that he enjoys. Also, the garden which is really lovely. The staff really take time to get to know each child but also their parents.
