Little Bear's on Wanstead Green is a friendly and welcoming nursery that prides itself on strong parent relationships and on creating a stimulating environment for the children in its care.

All childcarers are highly qualified, support age-specific learning goals, and focus on creating an atmosphere of respect and positive behaviour.

The nursery has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment programme to expand facilities to include an independent sensory room and age-specific garden areas within the large garden. As part of their commitment to children's wellbeing, the setting has an air filtration system designed to extract all airborne pollutants from the incoming air supply.

Little Bear's is a fantastic environment for my son - he has attended the nursery since he was 1 year old and has developed so much and built some fantastic relationships with the children and staff at the nursery. Most recently, he has been potty training, and the support and encouragement we have
received from staff in the Paddington room, especially one member of staff, has been astounding. The facilities are really modern and well maintained too. Thanks to everyone who makes my son's time at nursery enjoyable and comfortable.

This was a home from home. I cannot rate this place highly enough.
The environment was always welcoming and the staff were like extended parents.
They were polite, patient and nothing was ever too much to ask.
The deputy and senior manager ran a tight ship and created a calendar of fun and inclusive
events throughout the year. It would be very common to find them inside the rooms getting stuck in.
The actual nursery itself is stunning and has a wonderful outdoor space which is forever extending.
If only there was a school attached...

We love Little Bear's! Our son joined the baby room at ten months old. The nursery team were incredible in helping him settle. Starting nursery is a huge change for both parents and child and we could not have asked for a better experience. The settling in days were perfect and introduced our little
boy to nursery with confidence. The staff are so experienced and loving, he can't wait to get there on his three days a week now. I had serious reservations about him being able to nap at nursery as he had never napped in his cot at lunchtime. On his 1st day, he napped for two hours and napped perfectly every day.
The menu is unbelievable, he eats better than we do! The activities they take part in, even when they're under one, are phenomenal. From music lessons to arts and crafts, I feel so happy knowing his days are so full and stimulating. He loves the garden. It's huge and shaded and full of fun activities Thank you to everyone at Little Bear's we couldn't be happier with the nursery.

Our daughter has attended Little Bears for eight months and we could not be happier with it.

Our son loves going to preschool and has really thrived in an environment that is a good mix of structured learning and child-led fun. I appreciate most the flexibility and care of the employees, who take the time to know and respond to each child and parent. Another bonus is the almost-daily information
we get about our son, pictures and comments shared securely with us through the app. Particularly like the extension of the garden and the inclusion of green space and plants.

Little Wanstead Green was the right place for our daughter as soon as I walked in. Our daughter settled in very well. I absolutely love Little Bear’s on the Green. My second child is now attending full time and I’m loving seeing familiar faces from one my oldest started attending nearly 5 years ago.


There’s a true family feel mostly resulting from 1/ the nursery size and 2/ the staff. There are all amazing, friendly,

knowledgeable and truly care which is what you want when putting your children in the care of others.


My favourite part of the nursery is the garden. It’s big, with lots of activities and shadows for sunny days. A sensory room has been added following on from the quite recent refurbishment which I really like too.

We have been so happy with Little Bear's on Wanstead Green. All the staff are warm, genuine and caring, and it is such a lovely atmosphere. Our little one settled in really quickly, easing the anxieties around returning to work and she genuinely loves her days there. She has really thrived since starting
at the nursery, her days are so varied! We love how creative it is, and the additional activities such as music classes and baby yoga are so much fun. The garden is also a really wonderful space for her to explore. The parentzone app is a great feature with regular updates of what she is doing, and her key workers are so attentive. The food is great too- varied and nutritious- she is doing so well at mealtimes! The rooms and whole nursery setting are spotless and regularly sanitised, with lovely furnishings. Its location is super handy too- being next to the tube is ideal for the days I need to go into the office. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

Lovely nursery the ladies who work with my daughter are all very caring and gentle. Fast and good communication and a lot of updates during the day. I enjoy reading the monthly newsletter which keeps me updated on what the children are up to and the events planned for the month. My daughter really enjoys
their garden space which is really big so lots of room for outside activities.

Little Bears has been such a godsend to our family. All of the staff are so genuine, and our key person is very good at keeping us in the loop with my daughter’s developmental progress which is very nice to have records of. I find the setting has a very good balance of personal familiarity (which you
need to trust someone with your little one!) and professionalism. Any comments or requests I’ve made have been immediately met with a cooperative and pleasant approach which makes me very comfortable. I’m also impressed with the investment into extracurricular activities, as the nursery regularly books in external sports, music and entertainment facilitators for the children. It goes to show they are willing to elevate the children's overall experience.

My daughter loves the nursery and seemed to settle in very quickly. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and my daughter really loves her key workers. This is a wonderful nursery! The staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. It's clear they genuinely care for the wellbeing and development of the children. They do tons of great creative activities to keep the children engaged, interested and stimulated.


The app is very helpful as you can easily check

how long the child has slept, what activities they've enjoyed and what they've eaten that day.


The facilities are clean, bright and lovely.


The location is fabulous, its right next to Wanstead Tube and lots of shops.


I highly recommend this nursery!

Highly recommend Little Bears at Wanstead Green. My son loves the nursery and quickly settled in with big smiles and excitement for the staff in his room when he arrives each day - he absolutely adores his key worker which is sweet to see.


All the staff and management are amazing and have made an

effort to make him and us feel welcome which gives you a nice feeling of reassurance and care. My son also has a heart condition, which they have taken on with confidence despite not having experienced it before, and have been great with accommodating meds and monitors when needed.


They also have a brilliant app so I can see what he gets up to during the day including pictures and development milestones.


I can’t think of a better place for my son to be at nursery. We love Little Bears!

The nursery is brilliant, easy to find due to it being right next to Wanstead Station, some parking outside in case you drive, the staff are very friendly and polite, they have so many activities for the kids to do to keep them learning and stimulated.

Little Bears is a really wonderful nursery with a very nurturing, kind and inclusive culture. The managers are wonderful, always proactive and considerate. And you get the sense all of the staff genuinely work there because they love children.


We had been to a different nursery in the same area

with my first child and this has been a completely different - and vastly improved experience.

Overall they’ve been great. My son started a few months ago and has settled in really quickly.
All the staff are caring and friendly. Facilities are excellent with a big private garden for the kids to play in.
It’s all very well organised and the management team respond quickly to any questions
etc. There are lots of activities and things going on, my son loves the singing time.

I have been working in the Childcare sector for 16 years from babysitting, nannying and then working my way up from being an Early Years Practitioner all the way to a Nursery Manager.


I love watching children learn and grow and it is always exciting to know that not one day will be the same with them. It's wonderful to see how much children change over the years and to see them take that big step into Reception.


Now having my own child, I can see first-hand how important these first years are and how much can do to help shape and mould the children for their future.
