Located in a beautiful converted Victorian school with seven playrooms, the nursery is situated in the town centre of Teddington and falls within the catchment areas of Teddington, Hampton, Hampton Wick and Twickenham schools.

The nursery room is a lively and exciting place where children actively participate in their learning based on their personal interests and choices. They offer two baby rooms, equipped with treasure baskets and sensory developmental experiences, as well as a hideaway areas for the babies to explore.

The toddler room is bustling and fun-filled, featuring a range of activities from physical play to a quiet storytelling. The preschool is equipped with interactive equipment including SMARTboard and light table.

To ensure your little learner is confident about starting school, preschoolers engage in their Ready for School programme, which structures and brings into focus maths, reading, writing and other essential skills they need to get ready for school. My little one has been attending Teddington Cedar Road since the beginning of the year and I cannot praise the team enough. Having recently gone through a marriage separation and moving back to London from overseas, the team has been beyond understanding of our situation and have gone over and above
to accommodate us and support our son through the transition. They are patient, kind and extremely supportive and my little one has been thriving there! He has formed bonds with the staff and the kids and the activities are always fun and varied. He has become a more confident speaker and generally more social as a little boy. He eats so well - the food is nutritious and you can tell that a lot of thought goes into the menu. Playtime outside is his favourite activity - and their outdoor play area does not disappoint! To have that space for the little ones to roam around in is a huge plus! Beyond grateful to the team and I could not recommend the nursery more.

I don't even know where to begin! Finding the right nursery for your child is a daunting experience, you want it to be right, of course. The first nursery I viewed, was awful, so much so I stopped my nursery search for 2 months and; was reconsidering putting my son into nursery at all! Then I viewed
Bright Horizons Teddington Cedar Road Day Nursery and Preschool! I got the same feeling walking in, for the first time as I do walking into my own front door, it felt like home. It gave me that feeling of security. It just got better from there! The Manager felt like an old friend. So professional and personable. The rooms were spotless but played in! I loved the way the children would identify their names with their photos on the register and the outside playing space! My son loved it, he settled in so quickly and quickly bonded and formed a relationship with his key worker, all of the staff were attentive and friendly. I loved watching my son blossom and grow at nursery and developing in ways at home I perhaps couldn't assist with!

We have had a great experience at Bright Horizons in Teddington. Our daughter has been attending for the past couple of years and has been so well cared for by all of the lovely staff. She always has fun and often doesn't want to leave at the end of the day. She's developed and learnt so much through
the activities they do with her. The outside space is wonderful and communication from the nursery is always excellent. A big thank you to the whole team and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to other families!

We've had a positive experience with the nursery and our child enjoys attending every day. Our child started in the baby room and is now in toddlers. The activities the children get to do are exciting, structured, themed and different every week. There is a decent outside space for a city nursery and
they did take the children to one of the royal parks in the summer. The staff are caring, thoughtful and really show interest in the child's development, ensuring they are growing into happy little humans! There is an app which allows you to track your child's progress, which is helpful to understand their meals, nappies and sleep patterns. Overall, very happy and impressed with the manager, deputy manager and the team at Cedar Road.

Really happy with our choice to send our baby to Bright Horizons Cedar Road. The staff are so friendly, warm and great with the children. The outside space was the big selling point for me and the ability to go inside to drop off and collect makes you feel connected and able to see how the children
interact and play. The communication including the app, the daily updates from key workers and general info from management is also great. I have and would 100% recommend it to friends and new parents.

Finding the right nursery for my daughter was probably the biggest and most important decision so far, in our journey of parenthood. Like all mums, handing over my most precious daughter to someone I didn't know, gave me anxiety. I probably visited every nursery in Teddington and asked every mum I met
along the way where they sent their baby (pros and cons). I left nearly every nursery feeling more anxious and even considered how we could make it work, if I didn't go back to work. Then I visited Cedar Road, although this isn't the closest nursery to me by proximity, for me it glowed way above all the others. Why? The staff are all super friendly and warm. Not a crying baby to be heard, which was not the same for other places. The app provided daily updates, documenting development. Quick chat via the app for any questions/concerns, which is always responded to quickly. How happy she is, she loves her key worker. I could go on and on, knowing what I know now, I wouldn't hesitate

Both of my children attend Cedar Road Day Nursery. My daughter is in preschool and my son is in the baby room. Both are incredibly happy! My eldest is always very excited to attend, has made lots of lovely friends and can't wait to tell us all about her day at pick-up. She also loves all the learning.
The staff are wonderful, all very friendly and attentive to the children. A really lovely bunch of people, who you can tell care about the kids.

We feel so fortunate to have chosen Bright Horizons for our 4.5-year-old daughter. The preschool and office team have gone over and above in providing the care and support for her. She has needed a lot of additional help these past few months and we couldn't have felt more comfortable that she was in
the right hands. The care both she and we have been shown has been amazing and I really can't recommend them enough. She loves attending, has learnt and progressed so much and we have more of an issue getting her to leave at the end of the day than we do dropping her off. We feel she's being incredibly well set up for her next big step to big school, both intellectually and mentally and our only worry is how she'll cope without one member of staff in particular and the rest of the preschool team around her.

This is a lovely spacious, light and airy nursery with attentive, friendly and accommodating staff - anything you need they are there to support. When my youngest was about to start nursery I re-looked at options, despite my eldest being happy there. I hadn’t looked at a nursery since 2019 and I wanted
to compare facilities and reaffirm that Bright Horizons Teddington Cedar Road is right for us… it is! Cedar Road had the friendlier staff, more spacious rooms and the biggest outdoor area. Plus, my eldest loves the food! I also like that there are multiple baby and toddler rooms, rather than lots of children all together, which must be quite intimidating for them. My experience is of the baby room and toddler room and both are excellent! The staff are energetic and smiley and you feel confident leaving your little ones in their safe hands. Keep up the good work!

We are delighted with the first rate childcare and dedication of the team at Bright Horizons Cedar Road. We have seen great strides in development in both our boys who are clearly happy and thriving at nursery. From developing their motor skills, focussing attention in play and activity, to learning
to walk and interact with their key carers and peers around them, this has been a wonderful experience for our boys. Our son joined the nursery in March and he really enjoys the time he spends there. He settled very well into the baby room thanks to the amazing team and the carefully planned settling in sessions. His key person has developed a fantastic bond with him and has supported his development in key areas,
his confidence in particular has improved so much. The team in the baby room have done so well in making him feel welcome, comfortable and secure - we can see this in his interactions and it is so reassuring. We enjoy seeing what our little one has been up to through the app; the observations are a delight to read and really make up our days.

My three-year-old daughter attends the nursery and loves it. She is in preschool for afternoons a week and goes in so happy. She has learnt so much in such a short space of time and is now learning to write her name. Certain staff who work in the pre-school room are so fantastic at their job and you
can see they really care and give me a full report of everything she has learnt every day. The room is so full of energy and happy children every time we go in. The nursery is so clean and organized and having had two sons in previous nurseries in the past we are way more impressed with this one.

My 2year-old son joined this nursery one month ago when the covid situation was again getting serious. During this difficult time, we find the nursery has met all requirements set out in the various government guidelines to ensure they keep the children and staff as safe as possible. In the meantime,
they are still providing the children with the resources and educational needs to ensure they continue to develop. That’s brilliant!
The staff are all very friendly, they make the whole environment as harmonious as being home. It didn’t take long for my son to settle in and soon he feels happy to go to school every day.

We have had our child in pre-school since September last year. We transferred from another nursery due to a house move. At first, she was not keen on going to her school, which we expected. But I must say, it didn't last a week and she was already very excited about going. It must be due to different
factors - a bigger nursery, a much bigger outdoor playing area, etc. But it also must be due to her teachers (as we've soon found out). Not long before she started giving them hearty goodbye hugs every time we picked her up from school. She is very much interested in the pre-school programme, as we can tell by her singing new songs at home, showing us her new skills, etc. We're very excited about all her progress and very thankful to the nursery and teachers supporting our child. One more thing I'd like to mention is the very extensive and personal feedback we receive daily from the teachers when we pick our daughter up. Thanks!

My child attends the pre-school room at Teddington Cedar Road. She has attended this nursery for over three years now and I can see the progression in her intellectual development and social skills. The staff are very informative when feeding back and it's lovely to see what my child has been doing
throughout each day via the app. My child comes home and shares her day talking about what she has learnt and the staff which is lovely to hear.

Mediocre. Our son has been at this nursery since Jan 2018. Since then it changed hands from Asquith's to Bright Horizons and the quality has sadly declined. Whilst they had to deal with the chaos of Covid, they dealt with it badly. For 6 months the nursery had a reduced "covid" menu which they claimed
was due to food supply problems. I had to get in touch with the Bright Horizons UK MD to get this sorted. Utterly ridiculous. The nursery has lost a lot of great staff, including an absolute stellar pre-school teacher and has gone through several managers. Some of the staff that remain, hold the place together. We would have removed our son if he wasn't off to school in the next few months. Although pre-school leadership is severely lacking, so we aren't sure this was the best decision. Overall, a sad decline of what was a great nursery.

Both my children attend the nursery and they love going.
My baby settled really quickly due to the great team and consistency of his key person. He loves painting, the garden and seeing other babies - a rarity in the current climate!
My older child is in the nursery room and always looks forward
to going to nursery to play with his friends. He enjoys being active in the garden, counting and learning his letters.
For us the social aspects of nursery have been so critical to maintaining normality for our children during Covid.

Becky is the Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons Teddington Cedar Road. She began her career in childcare in 2012 and has been part of the Teddington Cedar Road team ever since.


Over the years, Becky has achieved her Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Level 2 in Team Leading and Management. She has built strong relationships with families and loves welcoming new faces — especially the little ones. Becky enjoys spending time with the children and supporting her team to create fun, engaging learning opportunities. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, keeping active, and taking part in water sports.

Nicole, our Deputy Manager at Bright Horizons Cedar Road has 18 years of experience in Early Years and a Level 3 childcare qualification.


Nicole brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and leadership to her role as Deputy Manager. Throughout her career, she has not only nurtured countless children through their developmental milestones but also mentored fellow practitioners, sharing her expertise and passion for early education. She finds the greatest joy in watching children grow into confident little individuals, knowing she’s played a part in their journey.


Outside of work, she cherishes time with family and friends and if she’s not with them, you’ll likely find her in the kitchen, baking up something delicious!
