Abbey Wood Grange Nursery South Croydon operates from an extended three-story house in a private, residential area in Kenley, South Croydon, Surrey.

Just a short walk from Kenley train station, close to local bus services (Godstone Road), they offer the highest quality childcare and pride themselves in meeting the high standards set for children's nursery care, they are members of the National Day Nursery Association.

As a registered provider of early years education they offer the Nursery Education Grant which entitles all three and four-year-olds to either 15 or 30 hours of Government funded nursery sessions per week. The nursery in South Croydon enjoys spacious and fully enclosed outdoor play areas with a wide range of outdoor equipment to allow the children to have fun whilst gaining physical skills, fresh air and exercise.

Abbey Wood supports children with learning difficulties and children who speak English as an additional language.

I was extremely nervous when my son started nursery back in August but the staff really took care of him and he settled in straight away.
Thank you for making the transition that bit easier for us both.

I visited the nursery today and the staff were so friendly and happy.
As I live a far distance from my daughter I was anxious about how she would cope working from home with my 18-month-old grandson being around. My daughter viewed a few nurseries and none of them could accommodate what my daughter
was looking for.

I highly recommend Abbey Wood Grange Nursery, the carers go out of their way to make my daughter feel happy and comfortable. Proactive in looking for the right activities to help child development. Great atmosphere, various activities and regular updates for parents.

This nursery is brilliant, they are very efficient, caring and professional. It is a very well structured environment and every time I pick my child up they give me a full report on her day so one to one basis with the children is very good. All the staff are so pleasant and friendly in the mornings
even though they are all up at the crack of dawn!

My daughter has been attending the nursery for about 18 months and she enjoys every moment of it.
We are already feeling sad about the idea of her leaving nursery next September to start school because we feel so comfortable with the care she receives here.
The staff are so friendly and genuinely
care for the children. They take their time to talk to the parents and keep you up to date about all the funny things your child has said or done during the day.
The staff always seem happy and never stressed or grumpy. Management always go out of their way to try to accommodate any last minute changes in childcare requirements which is important for someone like me who is a nurse and works shifts.
Overall, we love the nursery and are glad we choose to send our daughter there.

My son is currently at this nursery and not long into him starting, it was his mum's birthday. The nursery helped him do a lovely card which included lots of pictures of him enjoying days at Abbey Wood Grange.


We get newsletters to keep us updated. They cook a wide range of food.
So to sum it

up, this is an excellent nursery.

My daughter started nursery when she was 7 months old and I was nervous as she could hardly entertain herself at that stage. She could just about sit but not crawl or walk. I was put at ease very quickly and all team members reassured me repeatedly answering my numerous questions. Once my daughter started,
she immediately loved it. They really cater for the individual baby. My little princess didn't want to sleep in the cot, in the beginning, so they let her sleep in the swing. They also give a lot of cuddles and hugs which I find very important in the early years. The nursery sends regular updates and pictures and it's really good to see my daughter having so much fun and doing a lot of messy play. In the morning, she sings when we get close to the nursery, so she must like it there.

My daughter is really happy at Abbey Wood Grange and it has been wonderful to see her grow and develop over the months and years that she has been attending. Our children attend the nursery one day a week and have settled in well. They have recently moved up to the next room and the welcome they have received there had been great. Within 2 weeks they have stopped crying on drop off. They always seem to have had a good day and I like the variety of activities
that they do. The staff in their room and the office staff have always been very friendly and helpful.

I have previously reviewed the nursery when my son was younger, however, I have been so impressed with the transition from nursery care to Pre-school care at Abbey Wood that I wanted to leave another. My son has recently moved into the final class at Abbey Wood 'Woodlands' and the difference in structure
has been great and a very smooth transition. I was particularly impressed with the nursery's communication to parents as to the changes that would be made and the information given with regards to preparing for school and I can see that my son is thriving on the different learning activities that have been implemented. I have always liked the environment at Abbey Wood throughout the years but even more so now that updates have been made to the classrooms and building as well as the level of communication with parents. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery for babies all the way up until school.

My 18-month-old son started at Abbey Wood Grange a few weeks ago. The staff have been very helpful with settling him in. They have an excellent garden with a wide range of things to play with.

My son started attending in March 2016 at the age of 1 and has now moved up from baby to toddler room. So far Abbeywood has been brilliant. The staff are fantastic, eager to help and extremely caring towards the children- sensitive to the routines our son was used to as a baby and also our own preferences,
whilst also aiding his growth and teaching him new things. We have seen him develop so much and his confidence has also grown. The outside space and facilities like the romp room are also excellent. My son is extremely happy there and I'm sure this is because he doesn't get bored- loves the activities and the romp room as well as socialising with both the staff and kids. We have not worried about him or the level of care and attention he will get, whilst at work and have so far not been wrong about trusting Abbeywood with our most precious thing in the world. I am now expecting my second and will definitely be using Abbeywood again for childcare on my return to work.

My son has Asperger's and the nursery could not have catered better for him. His keyworker helped him with potty training by creating a 'toilet story' and putting his favourite pictures in the toilet cubicle. She also made up a box of alphabet activities especially for him, to serve as a distraction
when he is dropped off and distraught to see me leave. This worked a treat! My son finds it difficult to eat at a table with other children, so they set him up at a table on his own, but then gently helped him make the transition to eating with others, by asking two of the quieter children to join him at the table. It worked! All the adults take a great interest in his happiness and general progress. They are all conscientious, warm, caring and insightful regarding his needs. The fact that the nursery has a soft play room in the basement is also a great bonus!

My baby has just started nursery. I was anxious that he won't settle as he is only 7 months old. He settled very quickly and doesn't cry when I leave him or collect him. The nursery staff are approachable, always caring and very helpful. There is a newsletter at the end of the month with photos and
an email to keep us updated of next month's events. I am also impressed by the nursery's facilities and does not hesitate to recommend them.

A very caring and friendly nursery, where my daughter loves to go. Very helpful staff, great facilities and excellent food. My daughter is currently in the baby room but will be moving up to the toddler room next month. The baby room has two lovely cosy rooms where they play and can go outside on toys.
Really impressed with the way the staff update you on your child's day and if ever a problem they call you straight away to let you know.
