What can I say other than fantastic? I was a first-time mum leaving my little boy from 10 months old in the middle of a global health pandemic - my nervousness was through the roof. The team at Abbey Wood Grange settled any nerves I had - they listened to what my son liked and enjoyed, they were accommodating
of his routine, and they made me feel like I could phone them at any time of the day to see how he was getting on. The thing that strikes me most about Abbey Wood Grange is that I have come to the realisation that I feel like my little boy is being dropped off at family each time he goes there - and because of that I feel like I have hit gold in finding them. Yes, this is a glowing review, but every part of it is from a sincerely grateful first-time mum.

I cannot recommend Abbey Wood Grange enough! The staff are amazing and my son loves going. When he has his meltdowns (which I'm sure every child does) the staff know exactly what to do and are amazing with my boy. He has 3 ladies who he has attached himself to as he has slight anxiety leaving me, so
I thank them for all their help and keeping my boy happy.
Thank you to all the staff so so much.

My son has been attending Abbey Wood for over two years now and he loves it. It's such a caring and nurturing environment and he's come along so much. He loves the outdoor areas available to play in and comes home with so much knowledge of all the things they focus on! Yesterday he was telling me all
about bonfire night.

My little boy started here in September after a long search for a place he would settle.
I cannot be happier, they have gone above to make sure he is happy and to make sure his transition from me went smoothly.
My little boy, in only 2 months, has become more confident and is coming along nicely.

My daughter started at Abbey Wood at the beginning of October. The staff have been fantastic in helping us, as a family, with a smooth transition into nursery life. She has already started to learn new skills and is very interested in other children. I myself went to Abbey Wood 30 years ago when it
opened and from there on, my siblings and cousins attended. There was no other choice for me.

Abbey Wood Grange is the kindest and caring nursery. The lovely staff who work there really care about the children and make picking and dropping a positive experience which can be quite challenging in the current climate. The staff still organise lots of fun events and activities for the children and
ensure they are happy. My boy always comes out smiling and is always knocking on the door to let him in. The management team are so personable and loving towards the children and friendly to the parents. I would 100% recommend Abbey Wood Grange.

My daughter has been at Abbey Wood Grange since she was 11 months old and whilst it was hard leaving her in the care of someone else, I have been delighted at the way she settled in and the way the staff have looked after her and reassured me. She is now a year on and thriving under the care of Abbey
Wood Grange staff and the diverse activities they offer. She thoroughly enjoys her days there and always comes out with a smile on her face.

My son has been at AWG since he was six months, the girls have nurtured, loved and progressed his development throughout his early years journey. I couldn’t be more thankful to the amazing girls, supportive management and owners of AWG Nursery. From settling to activities, trips, advice and termly events.
He is so ready for Primary and we will be forever grateful.

My son has been going to Abbey Wood since he was 9 months old, my second son will be starting in the next few weeks (8monthe old). The staff are welcoming friendly and have a genuine care for the children and families that go to the nursery. Not to mention that most staff know the names of every child!
The environment is safe, fun and challenges the children to grow and develop. My son enjoys his days at nursery, has built up valuable bonds with staff and peers. Would 100% recommend Abbey Wood.

Our two children have both attended Abbey Wood Grange and we have been extremely happy with their care. The staff are friendly and have always been kind and supportive to our children. They have delicious homemade food with a large variety every week. The outside play areas are fantastic which the children
get to use most days. We are sad that our time at Abbey Wood Grange has come to an end, but would definitely recommend this nursery to others looking for professional childcare.

We had no hesitation in sending our second child to Abbey Wood Grange Day Nursery. Our first child is now three and she loves her time at nursery. She started at Abbey Wood when she was 1 year old. We feel she is really thriving because of the care, support and encouragement she receives at nursery.
The staff treat the children as if they were their own and it makes juggling work and looking after our children so much easier knowing they are in such good hands.

My daughter is 3 and a half and has been going to Abbey Wood Grange since she was 10 months. She has always been so happy there. All of the staff are very friendly but also very professional, taking a keen interest in every child and their development. The facilities are fantastic, both indoors and
out and the nursery is continuously investing in new equipment for the kids. My son is 7 months and I can’t wait for him to start the nursery in a few months.

This is a fantastic nursery! My eldest has been attending the nursery for almost two years now and we did not hesitate to enrol our youngest. The staff is always warm and welcoming, accommodating and caring towards the children. They have a great mix of activities including sensory and messy play, singing,
dancing, music, learning activities, lots of art and so on. I am impressed with my eldest development - she can count, knows all the nursery rhymes, can hold a conversation - and this is credit to Abbey Wood. We are very happy parents and highly recommend Abbey Wood. Keep up the excellent work!

Both our children attend this nursery and we find it first rate. It has an excellent outdoor area and great indoor soft play. The staff are so friendly and know each child individually. I find the staff really engage with the children and meet their needs. Mine have come on leaps and bounds since attending.
Would highly recommend.

Abbey Wood Grange Day Nursery has provided excellent care for my son from day one. He has been there 2 years now and has learnt so much. The staff are always extremely welcoming and very kind and encourage him to develop and learn continuously. I have recommended the nursery to a few friends who now
send their children and they always have strong praise too. Keep up the good work.

Abbey Wood Grange is a lovely nursery, both of my daughters attend. My youngest is in the baby room with fabulous key workers, she loves going to nursery each day and launches for her KW when we arrive which is lovely to be able to leave her happy. The nursery offers an excellent service, adapting their
routines to that of yours at home and has excellent structured play/learning in the day including special visits from The Music Man which the children love and other musical visitors which stimulate and provide variation to the children. My eldest who joined the nursery at 9 months, is now 2.5 years and has been through the rooms, now in the toddler room, loves nursery. The toddler room is a great size, overlooking the garden with the outdoor play area, she loves the romp room which they go to at least once a week and each day she comes home having done a different activity - dressing up, colouring, painting, creative play, learning about emotions, it's fabulous. We love Abbey Wood.

My little girl has gone to this nursery since she was 8 months old. It is so friendly and they really do care about the children’s individual personality.
My little girl can be a little shy and takes a while to settle and they made special arrangements to ensure she was happy.
I would recommend this
nursery to anyone that lives near.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.801)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.801) out of 10 for Abbey Wood Grange Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.930 for Abbey Wood Grange Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (214 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 228 Ratings = 4.93
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.871 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Abbey Wood Grange Day Nursery is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 106 number of registered child places is 21.2. 19 Positive Reviews ÷ 21.2 = 0.896
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
