Bright Horizons New Eltham Day Nursery and Preschool

Our little one has thoroughly enjoyed every day spent at New Eltham Day Nursery. Joining in baby room, moving up through toddler and nursery rooms and now about to graduate preschool. The staff, led by the nursery manager have been tremendous throughout and we have had 100% confidence in all of them. They have managed the challenges of the last year expertly and have given us confidence that our child has been safe whilst providing an uninterrupted service of childcare without the need to close our bubble, a testament to the hard work of the team at New Eltham. It’s a friendly and welcoming nursery in a newly refurbished building with amazing gardens for the children to enjoy and explore. We wholeheartedly recommend New Eltham and will be really sad to leave this chapter behind us when the time comes to move on.

Our daughter has loved her time at New Eltham Day Nursery. She enjoyed her time in the baby, toddler, nursery and preschool rooms. She bonded well with all of the staff and has made a lovely little group of friends. As parents, it has been so reassuring to see her run in happily every day, and she tells us off if we pick her up too early as she always wants to carry on playing. The staff are all lovely, caring and professional. The rooms are newly refurbished, clean and well equipped. The gardens are great, and the children’s kitchen and sensory rooms are an added bonus. The food is very good quality, and the on-site chef is a great asset to the setting. We are so happy we found New Eltham for our daughter. It’s been perfect!

Our daughter absolutely loves coming to New Eltham Pre-School. She loves the staff and has such a great time. We know that when we drop her off she is in safe hands. Because of our jobs we have had to continue to work during the pandemic and the nursery has been a godsend, proving some level of normality for our daughter.

Our son adores nursery and has so much fun when he’s there, he can’t get out the car quick enough at drop off! The staff really care and get to know each child well, and are a constant reassurance for us as parents, particularly during this past year. We love the variation in activities he is involved in and the opportunities to get outside and explore and the feedback we get on his development is helpful. Despite the restrictions, we don’t feel limited at all in knowing what he gets up to. Thank you for giving him such a fun and positive experience!

It’s not cheap, but I do think it is good value based on the excellent service they provide, they aim to attract and retain the best staff, which is ultimately who you want looking after your child when you aren’t.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Both my children attend and absolutely love it here! The staff have been amazing and create an environment which my children are safe and happy - what more could I ask for.

This year has been a little strange, and not as personal as the experience I had when my little boy attended the nursery, but this is due to Covid-19 and not really a fault of the nursery.

Otherwise, I could not be happier with this nursery, and I am so grateful every day that my kids get to go there!

Massive play area for the children and lots of equipment for them to use.

Extremely happy with activities and opportunities provided for the children e.g. Sports and gardening. Nursery manager and management team are friendly and approachable and most of all know their stuff.

My little boy has thrived in the nursery. He always wants to get into the car quickly in the morning. The staff and key workers are so supportive and have gone above and beyond to help my family. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

New Eltham Day Nursery has been an extremely stimulating environment for my daughter for the past 3 years. She enjoys going to nursery every single day and sometimes its even a struggle to get her to come home. She has an amazing relationship with all her teachers and always talks about them at home. I am so pleased that she feels safe in the nursery that she's is in, as every parent worries about who is taking care of their child. She is going to school this year and all the help she has received at preschool has made her very excited about the transition. Her favourite thing to do is go into the children's kitchen and bake, she is always coming home with a variety of items that she has made and/or decorated herself and she loves the new forest school.

Staff are very friendly and enthusiastic in caring for the children. Good communication of the child's day and activities. Rooms large and suitable for purpose, with an excellent children's kitchen; shame it's not used more.

The staff at New Eltham Day Nursery have made our daughter feel completely at ease. She loves going there and has come on leaps and bounds developmentally since attending. Our daughter’s key workers and all the staff are always cheery, friendly and extremely professional. The developmental reports, pictures and her information book keep us up to date with what our daughter has been doing. The activities are varied, imaginative and great fun. We are currently looking after Buttons the holiday bear and taking him away with us on holiday. We look forward to bringing back some good holiday snaps with him! We are really happy with this nursery and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

My child has been attending for over two years now and she is very happy there. I am extremely impressed by the care and support provided by the exemplary staff at the nursery. Their dedication to the children is second to none.

Today the pre-school organised a birthday party for Elmer the Elephant that was very creative and a great way of engaging kids. My daughter has been learning lots of new stuff like parts of a plant (as we are planting at home and she joins in!). Very happy with all the great work being done at the nursery around kids learning!

Our son has been slightly unsettled in the new nursery room so his key worker devised various strategies to make this transition easier, including extra settling in sessions and the suggestion of trying a morning rather than afternoon session. He's reacted positively to both of these and we are assured that he receives the care and stimulation needed for his development. Thank you to all the staff.

The newly refurbished spaces are great and now align with the standard of care the kids get. I would have graded excellent all round, however, the spaces during some of this period were substandard. I hope the nursery now goes from strength to strength and wish all the staff well, they have done a fantastic job with my daughter, she never once said, I don’t want to go. That’s magic in my books.

We are so pleased with all the fantastic work everyone does at the nursery. Our daughter has settled in so well and loves coming. The staff do an amazing job.

They always ensure the children have a fun filled day!

The staff at Asquiths have made my son feel at home and always pay him extra attention and give cuddles when he's upset. The facilities are brilliant and they always have a fun range of activities for the children.
