Bright Horizons New Eltham Day Nursery offers high-quality care and education for babies from 3 months to children aged 5.

Staff at New Eltham strongly believe in the importance of outdoor adventure and encourage children to explore the outdoor area as ofter as possible.

The garden for each room is changed every day with new and inspirational activities for the children.

There is a large pirate ship for hours of fun and role play plus a climbing frame, playhouse, bikes and planting areas for children to grow their own vegetables.

The four age-specific rooms are set up to facilitate the individual needs of each child, there are lots of educational activities as well as fun messy play in the toddler and nursery rooms. The preschoolers have access to ICT equipment such as a smartboard and interactive computers to enhance learning.

Their unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.
An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

The nursery was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in July 2018.

Our little one has thoroughly enjoyed every day spent at New Eltham Day Nursery. Joining in baby room, moving up through toddler and nursery rooms and now about to graduate preschool. The staff, led by the nursery manager have been tremendous throughout and we have had 100% confidence in all of them.
They have managed the challenges of the last year expertly and have given us confidence that our child has been safe whilst providing an uninterrupted service of childcare without the need to close our bubble, a testament to the hard work of the team at New Eltham. It’s a friendly and welcoming nursery in a newly refurbished building with amazing gardens for the children to enjoy and explore. We wholeheartedly recommend New Eltham and will be really sad to leave this chapter behind us when the time comes to move on.

Our daughter has loved her time at New Eltham Day Nursery. She enjoyed her time in the baby, toddler, nursery and preschool rooms. She bonded well with all of the staff and has made a lovely little group of friends. As parents, it has been so reassuring to see her run in happily every day, and she tells
us off if we pick her up too early as she always wants to carry on playing. The staff are all lovely, caring and professional. The rooms are newly refurbished, clean and well equipped. The gardens are great, and the children’s kitchen and sensory rooms are an added bonus. The food is very good quality, and the on-site chef is a great asset to the setting. We are so happy we found New Eltham for our daughter. It’s been perfect!

Our daughter absolutely loves coming to New Eltham Pre-School. She loves the staff and has such a great time. We know that when we drop her off she is in safe hands. Because of our jobs we have had to continue to work during the pandemic and the nursery has been a godsend, proving some level of normality

Our son adores nursery and has so much fun when he’s there, he can’t get out the car quick enough at drop off! The staff really care and get to know each child well, and are a constant reassurance for us as parents, particularly during this past year. We love the variation in activities he is involved
in and the opportunities to get outside and explore and the feedback we get on his development is helpful. Despite the restrictions, we don’t feel limited at all in knowing what he gets up to. Thank you for giving him such a fun and positive experience!

Our daughter (who is 4) has been going here since she turned 1. The staff are outstanding, and you can tell how much they care for all of the children.
They expose the children to such an amazing range of knowledge and activities, which I think will give them an amazing head start when they move on
to school at 5.
The office staff are very professional and organised and have all the policies in place that you would expect, they know how to handle dietary requirements, administering medicines, etc and are very supportive if you ever need any specific advice.
It’s not cheap, but I do think it is good value based on the excellent service they provide, they aim to attract and retain the best staff, which is ultimately who you want looking after your child when you aren’t.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Both my children attend and absolutely love it here! The staff have been amazing and create an environment which my children are safe and happy - what more could I ask for.

I have always been really happy with the nursery and staff.
This year has been a little strange, and not as personal as the experience I had when my little boy attended the nursery, but this is due to Covid-19 and not really a fault of the nursery.

I have two toddlers at Bright Horizons. They love coming to nursery, and when we drop them off, they both run straight in without looking back! When I go to pick them up, the eldest tells me he wants to go back!
The staff are so caring and engaged with the children, and it’s such a wonderful environment
with big airy well lit rooms and a fantastic outdoor space for each age group!
The only thing I would like to see is a more modern approach to communicating with parents through an app, email etc.
Otherwise, I could not be happier with this nursery, and I am so grateful every day that my kids get to go there!

Both my children have been to this nursery and have both loved it. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Wouldn't go anywhere else. A lovely nursery.

Nursery staff are well organised. Children are happy, confident and content in their environment.
Outdoor space utilised effectively as children able to flow freely between playroom and garden.
Extremely happy with activities and opportunities provided for the children e.g. Sports and gardening.
Nursery manager and management team are friendly and approachable and most of all know their stuff.

New Eltham Day Nursery has been an extremely stimulating environment for my daughter for the past 3 years. She enjoys going to nursery every single day and sometimes its even a struggle to get her to come home. She has an amazing relationship with all her teachers and always talks about them at home.
I am so pleased that she feels safe in the nursery that she's is in, as every parent worries about who is taking care of their child. She is going to school this year and all the help she has received at preschool has made her very excited about the transition. Her favourite thing to do is go into the children's kitchen and bake, she is always coming home with a variety of items that she has made and/or decorated herself and she loves the new forest school.

The staff at New Eltham Day Nursery have made our daughter feel completely at ease. She loves going there and has come on leaps and bounds developmentally since attending. Our daughter’s key workers and all the staff are always cheery, friendly and extremely professional. The developmental reports,
pictures and her information book keep us up to date with what our daughter has been doing. The activities are varied, imaginative and great fun. We are currently looking after Buttons the holiday bear and taking him away with us on holiday. We look forward to bringing back some good holiday snaps with him! We are really happy with this nursery and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

This nursery is great. Rooms are spacious and the main buildings are newly constructed. Children have a wide variety of activities every day. Among all the nurseries my two children attended and I visited, this nursery is the best, in terms of the quality of care provided and the facilities for children
to use.
My child has been attending for over two years now and she is very happy there. I am extremely impressed by the care and support provided by the exemplary staff at the nursery. Their dedication to the children is second to none.

Today the pre-school organised a birthday party for Elmer the Elephant that was very creative and a great way of engaging kids. My daughter has been learning lots of new stuff like parts of a plant (as we are planting at home and she joins in!). Very happy with all the great work being done at the nursery

We're genuinely impressed with Asquith New Eltham.
Our son has been slightly unsettled in the new nursery room so his key worker devised various strategies to make this transition easier, including extra settling in sessions and the suggestion of trying a morning rather than afternoon session. He's
reacted positively to both of these and we are assured that he receives the care and stimulation needed for his development. Thank you to all the staff.

My daughter attended this nursery from 5 months to 3 years.
During this period, the business was bought by Bright Horizons and refurbished, existing spaces plus they added a new building, making it a difficult transition for all the team that worked there - juggling difficult spatial arrangements
and new/changing policies, is never easy whilst maintaining seamless operations.
The staff were fantastic. The biggest attribute of this nursery, in my opinion, is/was its staff, particularly baby care, toddlers and nursery rooms and my daughter will miss everyone I’m sure.
The newly refurbished spaces are great and now align with the standard of care the kids get. I would have graded excellent all round, however, the spaces during some of this period were substandard. I hope the nursery now goes from strength to strength and wish all the staff well, they have done a fantastic job with my daughter, she never once said, I don’t want to go. That’s magic in my books.
