Bright Horizons New Eltham Day Nursery and Preschool

The app is very useful too, we can see what our child has been up to in the day and can communicate with the friendly staff easily. We’d highly recommend the nursery as a nurturing place to send a child from 0-4!

We have sent our child here and we couldn’t be happier. The staff are all so caring, the activities the children do are always so creative and engaging, our child absolutely loves going. What really attracted us to here was the fact that the children get so much outside time, playing and having fun in the garden. Food cooked for the children each day is so healthy and varied. The staff always go above and beyond. I 100% recommend!

I have had two children attend this nursery, my eldest is now in school and my youngest is currently attending the nursery. Although there are many other nurseries much closer to where we live, none of them compare to this nursery. The nursery setting itself is fantastic with so many great facilities like a children’s kitchen, sensory room and a vast amount of outdoor space. I feel happy and confident every time I drop my child off at nursery knowing that the staff are going to take the very best care of him. There are always fun, engaging and educational activities arranged on a daily basis which my child loves. It’s great to get updates throughout the day with photos attached. Every member of staff is friendly, caring and attentive to children’s needs. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I was very impressed at the beginning with the facilities but over time I’ve noticed a few things that have made me change my mind. My son had a pom pom stuck in his nose for a couple of days from nursery until I removed it with a tweezer, we were lucky it didn’t go up his nose. Some of the staff do not look after the children properly, my son was often coming home with dried poop around his bottom, very dirty hands and face, wet clothes and dirty socks. Many times I asked why they were handing him to me at the end of the day with such dirty hands, all covered in paint or dirt and only then I was asked if I wanted a wet wipe to clean them. Other times he was handed to me with his nappy full and sometimes his nappy was getting changed only when I would go inside to pick him up. They lack in cleanliness, the floors are dirty and children's clothes and bags were all on the floor. Not all bad things, a big thank you to the two nursery nurses and 3rd in charge for doing a great job with my son.

Both my girls have been to New Eltham and loved it. My eldest started school as a confident and robust little girl - The nursery were great preparing her for that. She was a muddy and creative child and the nursery embraced and encouraged that too, which I really appreciated. She came home muddy and full of paint almost every day - it was fantastic! Often she didn't want to come home! My younger daughter currently attends the nursery. She too does so many activities that I would never think to do at home and I really enjoy seeing the pictures that the nursery staff post almost every day. The nursery have been asking for feedback recently and I've noticed that they've really listened and actioned a lot of suggestions already - tea parties with parents for example, which I think the kids are really enjoying. The staff there are energetic and thoughtful and my daughter is really comfortable with them. It's a lovely nursery and sets kids up great for their big move to school.

The staff are very friendly and professional. The environment is just amazing. Honestly, I love it there! I know my child is definitely safe there. They have different activities for the children.

I am very happy with the nursery itself. However, do not have enough information about my child's activities on a daily basis. Another weak point is a good presentation. My child does not like any kind of sauce and remains hungry when it's already added to the dish. Apart from that, I feel that the staff take great care of my little one helping him to settle, to interact with other kids and to get and develop new skills.

Overall, a positive experience with the nursery. My son is very happy there and he enjoys going daily. The staff are nice and helpful and the facilities are generally in good working order for the children.

Staff at the preschool are fantastic, they do clearly care about the children. We see the same faces every day and staff are always happy. The facilities are great and the children are always doing a variety of different activities. There is a lot of outside space and the children have access to the space, all day. Food is healthy and varied and it has greatly improved my son's fussy eating. Would highly recommend.

Have two boys that have gone through this nursery, they have been great. Our boys are not the most compliant children you have met! I can't fault this nursery and staff at all, they have allowed our boys to flourish and developed their own confident personalities.

My daughter has recently started at Bright Horizons, shortly after she turned 2 years old. She has been there a few months now and I can say the staff there are very friendly and constantly try to do their best for the children. They have tonnes to do and lots of interaction for the little ones. They do events (like Halloween and Christmas) and both were very enjoyable for the children and you can join them to see how they get on in the class. Overall, a wonderful experience for both my child and myself so far, highly recommended nursery!

I have nothing but brilliant things to say about this nursery, my girls go in and leave happy, every day. I know that my children will be supported and cared for highly, whilst being encouraged to challenge themselves and learn new skills. The girls mix with the loveliest bunch of children every day. They laugh, cuddle and play together so well. Everyone who works here, whether it's management, to lunchtime cover, always have a smile on their face and a real care for the children and that really shows. This nursery is fabulous.

An amazing nursery. Friendly and supportive staff, who form real relationships with the children and parents. Great communication via the app, with frequent images of the day and a varied and wide ranging curriculum of activities.

My son started in the toddler room in April this year and he loves it! He has made such a lovely bond with his key person, which is so nice to see. He always comes home with some amazing artwork and some of the activities they do are brilliant. The nursery have a great app which tells me all about my son's day, as well as his development progress, which is completed by his key person. This is also a good way to communicate with the toddler room team and share activities and days out that we do at home. The nursery building itself is fairly new and has a large outdoor area and as my son loves being outdoors, this is great for him. The management team at New Eltham are very accommodating to my son's needs and went above and beyond to support during the settling-in process. Thank you.

My daughter is very happy at nursery and effort is made to really understand her. The nursery is flexible where possible.

My daughter absolutely loves it, she has been there for over a year and moved up to her third room now. Each room has been great with excellent key workers and room leaders, all the activities they do are brilliant. I love the fact that they spend as much time as they can outside and exploring, my daughter has come on leaps and bounds since joining. The food they have is great too and great variety of flavours.

We are very pleased with the nursery, as is our son. He is happy to go every day and enjoys attending the nursery. We have no negative comments regarding the nursery. The only critique is that I wished there was an app to log on and see my sons daily progress instead of the paper charts. I understand that this is something that is being developed though, so I look forward to this coming along soon.
