Bright Horizons East India Dock Day Nursery accepts children from three months to three-years-old, offering automatic progression to the electron building for preschool education for children aged two to five-years-old.

The nursery has specially designed rooms equipped with fantastic resources and a dedicated and experienced team of practitioners. These rooms are geared around safe-play and is equipped with areas such as a book corner, sensory exploration, music and movement.

The nursery has a free flow garden, giving children many opportunities to take part in the outdoor activities, encouraging them to learn, explore and discover the world around them.

Their unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Located in a secure residential area and next to a local park, there are many opportunities for the children to explore outdoors and to be taken on regular walks into the local community.

All meals at the nursery are freshly prepared and cooked on-site and menus are planned to provide the children with a nutritionally balanced diet throughout the week.

The cookery club allows children to participate in preparing snacks with the nursery chef.

The nursery was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in March 2019.

Bright Horizons East India Dock Day Nursery is a lovely nursery to bring your child to. The staff are so friendly and talk to you with kindness. They look after every child with care, even my daughter. She loves coming to nursery playing, interacting with staff and peers. At Bright Horizons East India
Dock Day Nursery, the events they do are so good for parents to stay and get involved with along with other parents and staff members. Management are so helpful and very good at what they do for the children and the nursery.

The nursery is very welcoming for both parents and child. Staff are caring and work towards the needs of each individual child. Very upbeat even on difficult days.
My child is always happy and loves the activities and all the food.
I've seen my daughter advance and there is definitely a focus
on development in social and intellectual areas.

I have to commend the staff in the Rising 3's room. Ever since our daughter attended the class, they have done everything to ensure she has settled in well. They have kept me informed and been courteous at all times. They are always helpful and the team dynamics work well, as I've got to know several
of the staff members in the group. A huge thank you to the amazing team that always makes me feel reassured that our little girl is in 'safe hands' and will enjoy her day!

I am extremely happy with the services and education Bright Horizons provides to my daughter. She has been going to the nursery for over 1 year now, and she has developed so much. I think when a child looks forward to going to school and doesn't want to go home when the time comes, it is a good sign.
Staff are amazing, professional and reliable. Food menu and options are also great. I would definitely recommend Bright Horizons to any parent looking for an amazing and friendly environment.

The Nursery has been brilliant for my daughter since she was 8 months old and has made sure that she’s both nurtured and challenged up to now at 2 1/2 years old. They are thorough in informing us about her progress and they are very kind to the children.


My daughter’s development has been rapid at

My daughter has had a wonderful time at this nursery. I am happy with the progress so far.
One thing I felt that the variety in the vegetarian food (we being vegetarian) needs improvement .

The nursery is great! The stuff are very friendly and they look after every child with great care. There is always a lot of entertainment for kids available, from messy activities, to book reading, playing outside etc. The staff are always helpful and always willing to cooperate with parents on what
they want their children to focus on in terms of their development. Comparing to other nurseries in the area, the space is huge, there is an outdoor garden and a communal garden where kids can run and play as well as riverside walks etc.

My daughter is part of a community at East India Dock; the staff all make her feel welcome and she has made some great friends - some inseparable with some of her first words being her friend's names. I am really happy with how she is developing and looked after. I couldn't ask for more.

My child has been attending this nursery for the last 5 months and I've been very happy from the day she settled. This is the first nursery she's attended and the main staff in her room have taken a lot of care to ensure she settled well in the first few weeks. I have never worried about my child during
the day and the staff always provide detailed feedback about her day when I collect her. I've received good feedback in respect to my child's development - good to know that they track this and support her development. Having consistent staff helps with this.


My child looks forward to going to nursery and appears to go in happy and leave happy each day. I've been impressed that all staff (not only the ones in her room) know her by name and greet her in the mornings and when we leave. The managers are often visible at the nursery and available to answer questions.

As with other parents, we also had a dilemma of which nursery and an initial scepticism of whether our child will settle down well or not.
Although we have a nursery next door, we preferred Bright Horizons (aka my nursery) due to word of mouth and we must say it was a very good decision. The staff
provided a great deal of support and took every measure to ensure our child's requirements are met and he settled down well.

Bright Horizons East India has surpassed our expectations - the staff have been excellent, very enthusiastic, very caring and very good with our daughter who has developed greatly since joining the nursery.
The facilities are of a high standard and are well maintained - and the menu consists of fresh
food, which changes daily.
Overall, we have had a very good experience and would recommend the nursery.

We love this nursery, the staff really care about the children and our daughter is constantly learning new things. Most importantly our daughter skips into nursery every morning and has a great time with the staff and all her friends. She started there at 8 months which was hard for Mummy, again the
staff were very caring and made it as easy as possible for all of us.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I started working as a teacher in 2013 and have over 8 years of experience in child care. I was promoted to Deputy Manager 1st of June 2019. I am a qualified teacher and I have a degree in child care, I enjoy working on my own initiative but am the best when working in a team.


Starting on the 1st of April 2022 I have been appointed for the position of Nursery Manager at East India Dock Day Nursery, I have a real passion for working with children and seeing the difference we make in each child’s life. Watching them learn, explore and flourish.


In short, I am reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and eager to learn. I am a fast learner-focused, approachable, firm humble, honest, kind and very optimistic in life.


I am interested in nature photography, foreign languages (currently learning Spanish) and cooking family meals. I like to travel; meet new people and find out more about other cultures, music and food. I am a friendly, active person who enjoys working with a great team at East India Dock Day Nursery.

I started my career in child care in 2008 and have been working in child care for 14 years. My experience at East India Dock Day Nursery has grown since when I first began at the setting in 2013 and I was just a nursery nurse. I have now been promoted to Deputy Manager on the 21st of April 2022. I have a level 3 in child care and a level 3 diploma in management. I enjoy working within a team to help to support others.


I am a confident and hardworking individual who is supportive and caring within a team environment. Trustworthy, reliable and honest, someone who is approachable and will listen to the needs of others.


I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking meals, music, food, football and shopping. I am a friendly and active person who enjoys being around people. I also enjoy my job and working with our amazing team at East India Dock Day Nursery.
