Bright Horizons East India Dock Day Nursery accepts children from three months to three-years-old, offering automatic progression to the electron building for preschool education for children aged two to five-years-old.

The nursery has specially designed rooms equipped with fantastic resources and a dedicated and experienced team of practitioners. These rooms are geared around safe-play and is equipped with areas such as a book corner, sensory exploration, music and movement.

The nursery has a free flow garden, giving children many opportunities to take part in the outdoor activities, encouraging them to learn, explore and discover the world around them.

Their unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Located in a secure residential area and next to a local park, there are many opportunities for the children to explore outdoors and to be taken on regular walks into the local community.

All meals at the nursery are freshly prepared and cooked on-site and menus are planned to provide the children with a nutritionally balanced diet throughout the week.

The cookery club allows children to participate in preparing snacks with the nursery chef.

The nursery was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in March 2019.

My son was exceptionally well cared for at Bright Horizons East India. He started as the youngest in the baby room and he was treated with utmost care. It’s been amazing to see him blossom and grow in confidence over the past several months. We’re absolutely gutted to leave.
My favourite part about
this nursery is how much all the workers in the baby room love the babies. All the workers have a fantastic bond with them and it’s beautiful to see how happy the babies are with them each day.

My child has been attending Bright Horizons East India Dock Day Nursery since he was 8 months (he's now nearly 2). The managers are exceptional, they always have a smile and are always very welcoming my son is always happy seeing their faces when he enters the setting. The girls in the baby room made
him feel comfortable and supported him through his settling period, he has now moved to the bigger room and the ladies in there are brilliant, he loves walking in the morning by going straight up to them for a cuddle. They always keep me updated with his development and reassure me of where he's at. I couldn’t ask for anyone better to look after my boy, the love and the support are wonderful.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the nursery teachers who have contributed to my child's growth and curiosity for learning.
As you might know, my son joined the nursery when he was only 10 months old.
I remember how worried I was to leave my child for the very first time but I was
reassured by the team and management straight away.
My son has grown so much and developed on so many levels that he amazes me every single day. He is extremely active but despite that, you have done and keep doing an amazing job!
As I previously mentioned, I could have put him in a different nursery, closer to our house but I chose you from day one and I am so glad I did as you never failed.
You are to me, the best nursery around!

Bright Horizons East India Nursery its been significant and so good in my son's life, I'm the kind of mother that was always concerned about where will I put my son and how is going to be, but as soon as I went for first time for the tour my heart told me that would be the right place for my child and
I was right. The staff are so friendly and supportive, the atmosphere of the building gives you peace, and just a few months in the nursery I have seen so much improvement in my son, he learned to have a routine, he understands so many things and the best of all his key worker always give us updates about his day and any single thing he had learned. I truly recommend this nursery 100%.

We are delighted with Bright Horizons Nursery. My son started before he turned one. He has learned social skills, table manners, and has developed his fine motor skills. The nursery supplies very nice meals, has a nice outdoor play area and facilitates regular haircuts, family photo opportunities and
has a band who visit and play Spanish nursery rhymes to the little ones. The staff are very caring and friendly.

My little one has been attending the nursery since the age of 13 months and it has been absolutely wonderful. When we were visiting various nurseries to find the right one for our child, what stood out immediately for Bright Horizons, East India was 1) the friendly staff (everyone always greets each
parent and child with such warmth), 2) the big and bright rooms for toddlers with a huge array of to-do activities, 3) the well-structured program with a set routine for the kids to follow and 4) the nice outdoor play area.
My little one adores all her caretakers. As a mother, I feel very relaxed during the drop-offs when I see her rush into the room to hug her teacher! Thanks to the efforts of all the staff members I can see that my child is growing into a lovely person, is getting chattier and more curious by the day, and is also starting to develop friendships! We receive regular updates on our little one's progress with tailor-made plans for the next developmental milestone. We are happy parents indeed!

Our child has been a part of the East India Nursery for the past two years and we have nothing but good to say about them. Starting from toddler room and the entire settling process that has been done with so much attention to his feelings but also acknowledging us as parents, respecting our wishes
and ensuring they followed our routine for smooth and positive experiences. He has instantly bonded with his key worker at that time, the deputy manager, who has been very reassuring, but also very friendly and caring. Our baby moved to the Rising 3s after and all the ladies have been giving him so much love that he comes home at talks about them, singing rhymes in different languages, showing us how much he is progressing with each day. Seeing all the lovely pictures in the app is making our days at work so much easier.
Management team also organises different events for parents, celebrating children’s cultures and inviting parents to spend time in the room, sending regular updates and newsletters.

Bright Horizon Nursery has always gone above and beyond for our child who has been attending nursery since he was 12 months old.
The communication between the parents and the nursery is always excellent as our questions are always answered immediately.
We are always kept up to date with changes,
upcoming events and progress that our child has made through the app or via email. All staff members are extremely friendly and provide a welcoming environment for both children and parents.
Our child’s key worker regularly updates us with observations and activities which gives us ideas on how to best adapt learning at home for our child.
We love how much our child loves attending the nursery each and every day. He always mentions his key worker and the manager, how much fun he has with both staff members and peers.

I am so pleased with the nursery! My son has been attending at the age of 21 months! His vocabulary has extended to a great amount and the nursery always accommodating to his needs. A big thank you to the managers for really putting all their hard work and effort into looking after their staff and therefore

My daughter had been at East India Dock, Bright Horizons for almost 11 months now, and we couldn’t be happier. The staff are amazing, very supportive and kind. My twins were in this nursery for 2 years, age 13 months to 3 years old. Started in the toddler room, and were moved to rising 3s room after aged 2. Kids cried a little for the first few days, but soon began to run into the nursery themselves. Breakfast, fruits, lunch, tea, milk, nappies, everything
provided. Loads of age-appropriate activities are planned every week. They celebrate festivals of all ethnic groups with equal enthusiasm and plan nice related activities. Kids have learnt rhymes, alphabets,1-30 numbers, and know so many birds, animals and more. They draw, paint, do crafts, messy play, play outdoors on most days, read books etc, regularly. Just sit and cuddle and rest if tired or unwell. Key workers are all so warm and loving towards the children. We received regular updates, and lots of photos of kids doing daily activities on the app. Weekly menus were full of variety. The place is clean and maintained well. A very lovely, welcoming and accommodating staff team and management. My kids loved it and often still remember and miss the place. Highly recommend.

We have had a very good experience at this nursery. Our daughter started here when she was 18-months and the toddler room staff went above and beyond to make sure she settled in well. They gave her extra cuddles and were incredibly patient with her at meal times. We are grateful for their kindness and
attentiveness. My daughter is now almost 3-years old and is in the rising three-room and our experience remains positive. The children paint, learn songs and go to the garden every day. Earlier this year the staff organised for the parents to come in and talk to children about their jobs, which was a wonderful initiative and the kids were so engaged!

It's so reassuring to leave my son at East India, Docks Nursery, knowing the team will look after him. He has been going since he was 4 months old and they always made it easy for him to settle.
They pay attention to what the kids are going through and are always very insightful. They are caring and
friendly and I know he is in good hands. They do lots of activities, allow the kids to play outside and I can tell how he is developing and learning. Couldn't recommend more and I wish all nurseries were like this. Tiny improvement around food and including more diversity on the menus, but even this, I have no significant issue with.

We have our second baby in this nursery and there was no doubt or consideration of any other place. We had such a good experience the first time, we knew it would be no different this time.

We could have not wished for a better nursery for our son. The whole team in toddler 3 room have been looking after him so well and in a short amount of time, he got very attached to them. He even asks about them during the weekend, which shows just how much he is enjoying his time at Bright Horizons,
East India. They offer a lot of different activities and our son has progressed so much since he joined. The nursery is also managed incredibly well. The deputy manager and her colleagues have always been very accommodating, flexible and friendly. We highly recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for a safe and loving environment for their little one.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I started working as a teacher in 2013 and have over 8 years of experience in child care. I was promoted to Deputy Manager 1st of June 2019. I am a qualified teacher and I have a degree in child care, I enjoy working on my own initiative but am the best when working in a team.


Starting on the 1st of April 2022 I have been appointed for the position of Nursery Manager at East India Dock Day Nursery, I have a real passion for working with children and seeing the difference we make in each child’s life. Watching them learn, explore and flourish.


In short, I am reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and eager to learn. I am a fast learner-focused, approachable, firm humble, honest, kind and very optimistic in life.


I am interested in nature photography, foreign languages (currently learning Spanish) and cooking family meals. I like to travel; meet new people and find out more about other cultures, music and food. I am a friendly, active person who enjoys working with a great team at East India Dock Day Nursery.

I started my career in child care in 2008 and have been working in child care for 14 years. My experience at East India Dock Day Nursery has grown since when I first began at the setting in 2013 and I was just a nursery nurse. I have now been promoted to Deputy Manager on the 21st of April 2022. I have a level 3 in child care and a level 3 diploma in management. I enjoy working within a team to help to support others.


I am a confident and hardworking individual who is supportive and caring within a team environment. Trustworthy, reliable and honest, someone who is approachable and will listen to the needs of others.


I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking meals, music, food, football and shopping. I am a friendly and active person who enjoys being around people. I also enjoy my job and working with our amazing team at East India Dock Day Nursery.
