Bright Horizons East India Dock Day Nursery accepts children from three months to three-years-old, offering automatic progression to the electron building for preschool education for children aged two to five-years-old.

The nursery has specially designed rooms equipped with fantastic resources and a dedicated and experienced team of practitioners. These rooms are geared around safe-play and is equipped with areas such as a book corner, sensory exploration, music and movement.

The nursery has a free flow garden, giving children many opportunities to take part in the outdoor activities, encouraging them to learn, explore and discover the world around them.

Their unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Located in a secure residential area and next to a local park, there are many opportunities for the children to explore outdoors and to be taken on regular walks into the local community.

All meals at the nursery are freshly prepared and cooked on-site and menus are planned to provide the children with a nutritionally balanced diet throughout the week.

The cookery club allows children to participate in preparing snacks with the nursery chef.

The nursery was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in March 2019.

I don't recommend this nursery to anyone. During my child's settling period they called me two times to pick him up claiming he has a temperature above 38C. When I arrived in about 20-30min. time, I have asked them to check it again and they now measured as 36.5C. A high temperature in a sick child
would not go down in half an hour. He was only coughing a little bit and this was not pleasant to them and that's why they wanted me to pick him up falsely claiming his temperature is high. What is worse when I got there my child was alone and all the other children were doing an activity. My observation was that they separated him and this is not acceptable. Also, the management is too rude. When we asked them to give us the policy of the nursery on something they replied saying they don't have to give us a policy. If you want your child to start the nursery, then make sure he does not and won't cough, and be ready to be misinformed on her/his health and sign dozens of papers too.

The nursery has a nice setup, is clean and modern. The staff takes the time to speak with us to give us the summary for the day in addition to the daily summary form. The meals seem really well balanced and adapted for the toddlers, we know our daughter is eating well and is well cared for.
We like
the special paintings and activities and pictures we get from events throughout the year. We can notice how our daughter is improving her skills on a daily basis and her speech is also developing fast.
I would strongly recommend this nursery.

My son goes to Bright Horizons East India and the carers and staff in the toddler room my son loves them and misses them still. I have seen him learn so much and being independent - His eating his communication and social skills have improved drastically. He loves his Rising 3 carers too now, he is
25 months old and enjoys being in the nursery. The management is nice and warm too. I am very happy as a parent.

The nursery staff took away the worries about my son starting the nursery. I felt very satisfied and secure leaving him in the room, knowing he will be looked after and loved. The number of activities is done with the kids is impressive and I can clearly see the progress of my son's development. Another
very important thing is that the food is fresh and cooked daily, and most importantly each child is given his own plate even for a snack, unlike I've seen in another place - one bowl for all the kids and no supervision for every child to take a portion of food.

This is by far the best nursery! From the teachers to the management, everyone is so lovely, knowledgeable and professional! A special Thank You to the teachers in my daughter’s class as they always go above and beyond to give a child the individual support they need to excel in certain skills! The
children enjoy a variety of activities from learning colours, numbers, shapes and even planets!!! Painting, drawing and developing their artistic skills! Also, the transition from nappies to toilet use is a big milestone in the life of a child and in the life of the whole family! They have been extremely supportive of my daughter’s training and she is doing better and better every day! We are super thankful that our daughter has such caring and invested teachers!

My little one is very happy in this nursery.
They build his own development program. Since attending this nursery, he has become more adventurous with his eating, able to self-feed, and he is now great at sharing and participating in activities. I can see that he has truly engaged with his key worker
and staff in his room because he is very comfortable around them and is not in a rush to get home! It also helps that the size of the classrooms is relatively small, so unlike other nurseries I have visited, this one has a calmer environment. The nursery is clean, well kept and enjoys a nice private playground outside that has been recently refurbished.

Every single person is extremely lovely and helpful which is amazing and difficult to find nowadays.

We absolutely love this nursery. The staff is absolutely wonderful, caring, loving, and thoughtful. They always keep us posted, write regular reports, and are genuinely invested in the child's development and growth. Our child loves going to the nursery; he adores his key worker and looks forward to

After visiting a few nurseries, I immediately knew that Bright Horizon East India was the one for us. My son has been there for almost 9 months now, and he can’t wait to go to nursery every morning when he wakes up. The staff are friendly, and they look after him really well. My son has made huge developments

After seeing many other nurseries that were more conveniently located, we chose this one because the staff and environment were fantastic. Good vibes are so important for a first-time parent. The staff are professional and courteous, the rooms are clean and spacious, the ratios of children to staff

Bright Horizons East India have been amazing since my son started in July 2018. They are professional, personable and genuinely care about the children which was a huge relief when going back to work after maternity leave. I always feel involved and kept updated on my sons day from the silly, funny
little things he has said to his general care (nap times, food, how often he has been to the loo!) My son is super happy where he is which says it all! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for childcare and considering this nursery.

The team is very welcoming. They made me feel comfortable about leaving my daughter at the nursery. My daughter quickly bonded with the practitioners who have a lot of experience with babies. They helped me deal with my “working parent guilt and anxiety” and were patient and reassuring whenever I called
to check in. The baby room is filled with the sweetest, most caring team, who know exactly how to care for my cheeky daughter. One practitioner was a huge support for me when my daughter was settling in. When my husband picked up my daughter for the first time, another practitioner volunteered immediately to help him get her ready and in the buggy, going above and beyond. The food there is terrific. They do loads of activities like circle time, sand and water play, painting, singing, sensory play. The manager is also very diligent and communicative. Without a doubt, this nursery what the right fit for me, my husband and my daughter.

My son started his journey with Bright Horizon East India Dock Nursery when he was 9 months. He settled in fairly quickly and love being there. The carers are amazing and very friendly, caring at the same time supportive and sincere. Its been almost a year. Their health and safety standard, food standard

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I started working as a teacher in 2013 and have over 8 years of experience in child care. I was promoted to Deputy Manager 1st of June 2019. I am a qualified teacher and I have a degree in child care, I enjoy working on my own initiative but am the best when working in a team.


Starting on the 1st of April 2022 I have been appointed for the position of Nursery Manager at East India Dock Day Nursery, I have a real passion for working with children and seeing the difference we make in each child’s life. Watching them learn, explore and flourish.


In short, I am reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and eager to learn. I am a fast learner-focused, approachable, firm humble, honest, kind and very optimistic in life.


I am interested in nature photography, foreign languages (currently learning Spanish) and cooking family meals. I like to travel; meet new people and find out more about other cultures, music and food. I am a friendly, active person who enjoys working with a great team at East India Dock Day Nursery.

I started my career in child care in 2008 and have been working in child care for 14 years. My experience at East India Dock Day Nursery has grown since when I first began at the setting in 2013 and I was just a nursery nurse. I have now been promoted to Deputy Manager on the 21st of April 2022. I have a level 3 in child care and a level 3 diploma in management. I enjoy working within a team to help to support others.


I am a confident and hardworking individual who is supportive and caring within a team environment. Trustworthy, reliable and honest, someone who is approachable and will listen to the needs of others.


I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking meals, music, food, football and shopping. I am a friendly and active person who enjoys being around people. I also enjoy my job and working with our amazing team at East India Dock Day Nursery.
