Bright Horizons Canada Square Day Nursery and Preschool

Management and staff are excellent. Location and hours are very convenient for working parents. The lack of outdoor space is compensated by a large indoor play area and regular excursions to surrounding parks. The nursery manager is very approachable and listens to loads of feedback which I personally find great. There is constant effort to facilitate communication with the parents. Overall, very happy about the choice.

My daughter has attended this nursery for just 2 months (a couple of days per week) and I’m really impressed with how well the staff have helped to settle her. I find the carers as well as the management staff to be warm, supportive and professional. Baby room 2 staff are exceptional, they are very welcoming and always have time to give me feedback even when they are clearly busy/in the middle of something.

The information documented on my daughter’s progress is outstanding and you can tell they have really taken the time to get to know her and observe her developmental stages.

I think more wholewheat foods should be incorporated into the food menu and healthier desserts too but the frequency of meals and snacks is perfect.

There is no outdoor space but they do have a huge indoor playground which my daughter absolutely loves, it would be great to get some more toys/apparatus for the playground.

My daughter has had a great experience at this nursery. I highly recommend it.

Overall an excellent experience so far. Staff are friendly, attentive and do the little extra things that matter. Wipes his nose, meets me at the door of the room so I don’t take shoes off. Greeted with big smiles every day which sets the tone that they care!

The staff in Baby room 2 are outstanding; they are very caring, affectionate, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and always have time to talk regarding my child.

Every day children are prepared fresh, balanced meals – which are excellent.

Facilities wise, the nursery is very modern and very well equipped. Learning and activities are excellent and every week/month there are different events with a specific focus.

Whilst the nursery does not have an outdoor space attached, this is not an issue as the children are taken out daily (pending weather of course!) for exercise and fresh air.

The management team are excellent; they are very approachable and competent in dealing with queries or issues.

I have nothing but good things to say about this nursery.

I could not be happier with my choice of nursery. My 8 months baby boy loves going to nursery, staff is lovely, caring and friendly.

They don't have an outside facility but they always try to take the kids to a nearby parks in which my daughter just absolutely loves is

Bright Horizons Canada Square is really good. Their staff are really friendly and caring. They are always willing to take time to talk with me and give good updates on my child's day and needs.

They are in a convenient location and I also like that they have convenient hours, easy drop off and easy pickup.

I would definitely recommend Bright Horizons at Canada Square.

From pricing perspective a little on the expensive side, but compensates this with the location.

The team are lovely, they genuinely look to go the extra mile. I cannot fault them and would highly recommend (and do) to my mum friends looking for a nursery.

My son started last month and he has settled in really well. This is attributed to the care and high standards of the staff.

The staff are friendly and always take the time to speak to you about the day.

It’s a very welcoming environment and child friendly. There are lots of activities for the children. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery.

I currently use the preschool back up care for my 4-year-old son. He started in the another nursery when he was 13.5 months old. When we left in September 2017 for a new school nursery, we needed back up care for when the new school were closed for school holidays. We chose Bright Horizons based in Canada Square as my son had previous play sessions whilst at the previous nursery, so I'd know he'd be familiar with the environment. We wanted a larger setting for him as he got older, so Canada Square is the perfect option for him. Since using Canada Square back up care in October 2017 and December 2017, he has really enjoyed his time there and looks forward to going in the morning, which is a good sign. We also know the deputy manager from his time in the other nursery, so it was lovely for him to see a familiar face at Canada Square. The practitioners I've met in the preschool room and around nursery have all been very upbeat and positive, always a cheery greeting when you drop off or pick up.

It's nearly one year since my son joined this nursery. I like the nursery, the staff are amazing, they are very caring. The food is great here. My son really enjoys his time spending here.

Very pleased with the care, love and fun my son experiences on a day-to-day basis. I am also happy with the range of activities and learning opportunities available to him.

Great staff. They have made my son feel extremely welcome. I am confident that he is safe, very well cared for and stimulated.

My son, who is ten months old, has now been with the nursery since September 2017. There has not been a day when he is not smiling when we arrive in the morning.

The staff, who take care of him (Baby Room 1) are excellent; they are caring, confident, loving and dedicated to their work.

The activities are varied, fun and help my son to explore new things.

The food menu is excellent, it is made on site, based on nutritional ingredients and fun. Compliments to the chef!

Since there is no outdoor playground, I am glad that they take out the children once per day. It always looks like an adventure and the children seem to love it.

My daughter went to this nursery from when she was just one and left at three. When she started it was still under previous ownership and was amazing.

I had to take my daughter out of this nursery after months of trying to communicate with management and staff (I had to remove my daughter who was deeply unhappy.)

The poor experience I had could have been due to the management transition but a lot of it has to do with the level of experience staff have in the nursery and poor communication with parents and staff for handover.

My daughter is flourishing in another nursery. I waited several months before leaving the nursery but also leaving this review. I have since spoken to other parents recently who confirm that there has been marginal improvement in communication or care.

I hope this nursery improves. It has some great staff that are being let down by others and it’s a shame as was such an amazing place once.

My son had a fun, exciting day and learnt lots of new things. I will definitely recommend this nursery to others.

Price wise - to consider government funding for children at 3years and to ensure alignment of prices with similar Bright Horizons in Canary Wharf.

My little boy joined Canada Square (previously Little Unicorns) when he was 1. In the early days it was hard for him but thanks to the amazing efforts of the staff he eventually settled. He's now 3 and we recently relocated, and we've moved him to a local nursery. During the 2 years he was at Canada Square he grew from a little timid baby to a confident toddler. He loves going to nursery, he loves playing with his buddies and most of all he loves his practitioners. It was heartbreaking to move him out and once again we were worried about how he would settle into a new nursery. Amazingly he was settled within 2 weeks and by the third week, he was back on a full-time schedule! I believe this was all thanks to his amazing practitioners who had (from day one) consistently made his nursery experience a positive one, and so when joining a new nursery he took to it like a duck to water. The staff have really helped shape our little boy into the confident toddler he is today. Thank you.
