Bright Horizons Canada Square Day Nursery and Preschool

I am so happy that my child attends Bright Horizons Canada Square. My only wish is that I had been able to get her in sooner. My daughter has some speech and communication delays and the team has been brilliant. I feel safe leaving my daughter with the team and confident that every day she is getting excellent care and attention. The little touches here and there such as events, parties, card making and inclusion days really make us feel welcome. I will be sad to leave when she starts school. Very supportive team and extremely well-trained staff. It is very clean too and my child is rarely sick unlike the last nursey she attended she was always poorly as it wasn't very clean.

As a family, we feel listened to and cared for. We have full trust in the staff (that includes the chefs) and of course the amazing management team. Our son is very happy, safe and constantly learning! We love he is encouraged to be himself.

Son really enjoys nursery and has settled in really well.

We are very happy with the services of the Bright Horizons, Canada Square. Our son is absolutely thriving there, and loves all the different activities that are created for the toddlers on a daily basis.

My daughter joined the baby room in 2021 and has been with the nursery since then. She is in pre-school now. Throughout her journey, she has had fantastic teachers to take care of her, make her comfortable and confident and teach her new things. She is very good with numbers, alphabets and is confident when she speaks at home and with our friends outside. We have had our 2nd baby now and our preference is Canada Square again.

Overall, this is a great, mainstream nursery.

The nursery provides a very nurturing environment for our daughter. They’ve been very responsive to our many questions as a new-to-London family. Really enjoy the staff and our daughter is settling in very well. The teachers give an update every day at pickup which is helpful to understand her development and settling into a new environment.

My two children have been attending Bright Horizons Canada Square nursery for over two years now and they both have developed strong bonds with the staff and teachers. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone!

Excellent people and great facilities. I would highly recommend this branch for parents to consider for their child’s overall development. Food is also excellent and a lot of thought is gone into the nutritional aspects of the meals.

My daughter has attended Bright Horizons Canada Square full-time for one and a half years now (she joined at 8 months old). We have had a uniformly positive experience here, and we think very highly of the carers and the front office staff. We can see how quickly our child is advancing in her development from the constant activity and socializing she enjoys, and she will be more than prepared when it's time for school. Whenever we have a question or concern, it is addressed quickly and kindly. While there isn't any outdoor space in this setting, the children are brought outside for walks and to the local green spaces whenever possible. Comparing our experiences to those of friends with children at other nurseries, we seem to be the happiest!

My little boy has attended the nursery since he was 9 months old (2 afternoons a week) and has been full time since he turned one. He is now two and a half. He has moved through the rooms from Baby Room 1 and is now in Todder 2 and he absolutely loves it. He lives his best life every day there and runs in without looking back. It makes me so happy to know how much he loves it and I’m always impressed by the activities the staff already have prepared for the children for the day ahead. It’s just brilliant. The staff are all wonderful, as is the management and I couldn’t ask for more in terms of people teaching and caring for my little boy. He comes out with new words every day and the staff are unbelievably supportive. All the staff know each of the children’s names which I think is sweet. I would recommend the nursery to anyone for their child.

My 9-month-old son attended Bright Horizons Nursery, Canada Place yesterday as an emergency backup place. Staff were warm and welcoming. As it was his first day attending a nursery, I was slightly nervous to leave him but when I collected him in the evening, I found out all of the fun activities he had participated in during the day and he was fast asleep (probably tired from all the fun!). The staff were very friendly and I am now enquiring about a permanent place.

We currently have two children attending Bright Horizons, Canada Square. Our eldest has been at this nursery since he was 7 months old (bar a few month's absence due to us living abroad / COVID) and our youngest has been attending since he was 8 months old. We are extremely happy with this nursery and always recommend it to people in the area who are contemplating childcare. We had experiences with other Bright Horizons locations whilst living abroad and it was clear how much better behaved and emotionally well-regulated our son was when under the care of Canada Square. Apart from being very pleased with the day-to-day teaching and activities, I am most grateful for how much care is clearly taken for the children by each member of staff. My children love going into school every day and are always met by big smiles and warm greetings by every member of staff (not just the teachers in their rooms). My return to work was as seamless as could be, due to Canada Square.

The staff have been helping out with my requests to teach my kid to read, trace the alphabet and to eat better. These have been major improvements due to staff involvement.

I beg you don't, especially those for Pre-school. They have appointed staff who have no decent understanding of how to be a teacher, they are certainly not qualified to be around our young children. My son has learned nothing, The so-called teachers have no knowledge about the child they care for. I have raised so many complaints including, they don't even ask a child if they know their alphabets/numbers. My three-year-old son would say "Mummy why do my teachers never ask me anything or teach me ex: my 1,2,3's. I have witnessed teachers saying "hey'' and "you" constantly rather addressing the child using their names. My son never talks about a single teacher from his class, which is quite upsetting because it's proof that they have no bonds with the children. If he has a little runny nose they won't even wipe clean his nose. When I get him his face would look a mess with dried mucus everywhere.

My son has been in this nursery for almost five months now. Due to the current situation, we have not had a chance to visit the nursery yet. Bright Horizons currently holds opening days for new parents but not for existing ones. We have seen some pictures of the room which looks good. Although there is no outside space, they substitute it with taking children out for a walk every day.

I see the communication between parents and the nursery needs some improvements especially emails.

I was a little wary about the closed-door environment and lack of ventilation, but they have started taking the children outside for a walk now. A child who is happy going to the nursery and reminisces her day fondly when back home is a great measure to assess a nursery.
