Mayfield Nursery

My boy loves being outside and their garden is very nice and easily accessible from the baby room so the children seem to spend a lot of time there. Every time I come to collect my child he is happy playing. I am very grateful to the ladies from the staff who are all exceptionally warm and caring!

My girls have always been happy to attend. Staff have always been caring and attentive. They had a lot of fun and they have received a lot of love which I think is the one thing parents should value the most in childcare.

We have been so happy with the childcare my two children have had at Mayfield Nursery for the last two years and we are very sad they are leaving. The staff are really lovely and made a real connection with both of my children. My children have experienced all three rooms at the nursery and they all provide a fantastic, caring environment.

The indoor and outdoor space was what made us initially choose the nursery as well as the separate sleeping rooms which seemed rare to find in the area. Also the parking for pick-ups and drop-offs is very easy. The fact the nursery is family-run is also a huge bonus. We really cannot recommend the nursery enough.

It's always hard to leave your child with people you don't know but the manager and the team made it so much easier. Mayfield is a family run nursery which makes you feel like part of the family. We knew from the moment we visited that our son (2 when he started) would be well taken care of and we were thrilled to see him flourish there. The staff at Mayfield were incredible and we will be sorry to say goodbye. I felt very comfortable with the staff in my son's room every day and was able to discuss developmental concerns and ask advice from people who play an active role in developing toddlers. I also felt incredibly comfortable speaking with the management and was always satisfied with any responses I got. As a proud mum, I was touched to know that all the staff knew my son, no matter which room they worked or who they were assigned to as a key worker. I can absolutely recommend Mayfield as an amazing nursery with staff who genuinely care about the children under their responsibility.

We only used Mayfield for a short while, but were extremely happy with the care our 10 month old son received. Great communication with parents regarding what our son has done during the day - nap times, food eaten etc. and if he ever had a little bump we got a call. Really fond of the ladies in the baby room and the management team. Keep up the good work!

Best nursery ever.

Learning was good and observations were regularly done by staff, but the main thing for me was that my girls were happy there and made some good friendships with their peers and developed trusting relationships with the care staff. Overall would recommend.

Our son has been attending Mayfield Nursery since Aug 2016 and we couldn't be happier. All the staff members are friendly and welcoming to the children and parents. The day runs to schedule and the staff and children know the routine so there is no time lost due to procrastination. I was worried about potty training given my son was at nursery five days per week but the nursery assisted with his transition. Staff take the children to the toilet at regular intervals throughout the day to avoid accidents. The outside space at the nursery is fantastic and the children go out every day at least once. During the warmer months, they spend a lot of time outside, which is great for my little adventurer. There are activities set out daily and you only have to look at the lovely display boards to see what the children have been up to. We have moved since joining Mayfield and have not yet found a suitable nursery to match the high quality offered there.

Mayfield is a wonderful family run nursery and the staff in the rooms are very much a second family. They care for the children as if they were their own and make effort above and beyond. It's tough to leave your children in childcare but the staff at Mayfield make it as easy as it can be plenty of cuddles for the little ones and a wonderful variety of games, toys and activities on offer.

The food is fantastic all home cooked on site by a wonderful lady who has worked there for years. My 8 year old still talks about her macaroni cheese years later!

I don't hesitate to recommend Mayfield to others. Go and meet the staff and I'm sure you'll be convinced!!

My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Mayfield. The staff are kind and considerate and she has learned a great deal. The facilities are better than any other nursery I have visited. I would recommend it highly.

The care, interest, creativity and affection that the staff demonstrate every day is clearly having a very positive effect on my son and his development. I can see how happy he is with the staff and his environment there which makes me feel comfortable going to work as I trust he'll have an interesting and stimulating day.

I feel well informed about what he's been up and like the variety of rooms and big garden which is available to the children. The general setup is safe, well organised and the atmosphere is always very warm. My son is now 16 months old and has been attending Mayfield for 6 months.

We have been extremely happy with everything at Mayfield nursery. The care of all the ladies in the baby room towards our son is genuine and loving. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone.

The nursery underwent a change of management in late 2013 that transformed it into the great place it is today. My son really enjoys being there, despite being very shy in nature, and it's clear from the way he runs to hug staff members in the morning that they put a lot of effort into looking after the children in their care. The nursery facility is itself bright, open and spacious (being what looks to be a converted church?) and has a secure outdoor area with grass/toys, which is great in summer but can be a bit muddy in winter. I can confidently recommend the nursery.

My son started at Mayfield when he was 10 months old and settled in straight away. He has been there for 5 months now and he can't wait to get there in the morning. All of the staff are lovely, caring and very devoted to all the children. The facilities are great, huge garden which the kids love. Inside the rooms are spacious, clean, lots of different toys/books. They sing, play music, messy play etc. My boy has learned so much, he eats well, shares his toys. A fantastic place for little ones!!!
