Raphael Nursery Hammersmith

Our daughter has been really happy at Raphael Nursery in Hammersmith. The management and staff always take the time to interact with the kids individually, paying attention to the individual needs and are just a lovely group. The activities and learning opportunities are well thought out and engaging. They also have additional activities and field trips which our daughter loved. Everyone is really kind and clearly care about children.

Our son attended Raphael Nursery Hammersmith from November 2025 to July 2026, and we could not have hoped for a better experience. From his very first settling-in days, the whole team made him feel safe, happy and genuinely cared for. We always felt welcomed and listened to, and communication with parents was warm and reassuring.

He developed so much during his time at the nursery, thanks to the varied activities, attentive care and encouragement he received every day. It was clear that the staff knew him well and cared about his individual needs and progress.

We are very sad to be leaving because of our move back to Belgium. Raphael Nursery will always hold a very special place in our memories, and we will remain deeply grateful to the entire team for everything they have done for our son. We would warmly recommend the nursery to other families.

My son attended Raphael Nursery Hammersmith from the age of 7 months to just before starting school. We loved the nursery's caring atmosphere, the dedication of the management team, and the curiosity-sparking activities and experiences they organised - like regular visits to a care home, theatre trips or ducklings hatching. They make the nursery feel like a supportive community, all centred around it being a loving, calm and happy place to be.

The nursery staff communicate really well with parents and always have the child's best interests at heart. The daily updates are high quality with pictures and gives a real feel of how your child has spent the day.

The food is healthy and very good quality. The chef is part of the nursery and often helps with cooking based activities which my son loved.

The preparation for school has been great. My son now has a strong grounding in phonics and basic maths principles which will enable him to start school in Sept with confidence.

Excellent nursery. Staff were really supportive of my daughter. Had a strong safeguarding culture which was re-assuring as a first time parent. Good range of activities and really clear communication and updates.

I highly recommend them to anyone who wants their children to be immersed in a French-speaking environment, even for families who don't speak a word of French themselves. Overall, it's just an excellent nursery.

We love Raphael nursery! Both my boys go (went) there ans we are very happy with the nursery. I particularly like the ambiance of the nursery, small, close and friendly. All staff are responsible, professional, and caring. It becomes a small, united community with kids, families and staff, which is really great for children development. Bi-lingual environment is also a big plus. I was recommended by a friend a couple of years ago for my big boy and I have since then recommended several friends to choose Raphael as well! Last point, food is super healthy! Never fries, fried chicken etc! Chef was great, and you can see the healthy French eating culture is embedded in everyday diets.

I'm so pleased that my son attends this nursery. He is surrounded by caring, kind, attentive and professional staff who support his learning. And I really appreciate the strong focus on speech and language development.

Our daughter attended Raphael Nursery between March 2025 and December 2025 when was just eight months old, and we couldn't be happier to see the little person she developed into in such a short period of time. Initially we were worried as she was shy and had separation anxiety, but the team in the Caterpillars room was so tender, attentive to her needs and patient that in a short period of time, she was thriving and enjoying her time at the nursery. In fact, she used to be excited in the mornings to hear that she was going to the nursery. Even as she moved from one room to another, we could see that she was always in good hands, was safe and happy. We unfortunately had to cut her time at the nursery short as we moved an hour away from it, but would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone considering it.

Raphael nursery is the best place for children in terms of care and teaching. They have a lot of educational activities there, the staff is very kind and smart. We have daily reports about our son evey day that full of photos. The tutors helped our son a lot to handle avoiding nappies and to control his emotions

All three of my children attended Raphael nursery from the age of one. With three kids under age of 3 and both parents working full time, having a reliable and loving nursery where our children can thrive was critical and Raphael was everything we could hope for. During the 3 years our children attended, they had a structured learning plan designed for their age of development, daily bilingual exposure to French and English language and most importantly staff that care about the children and passionate of what they do. One of kids has special development needs, his key person Nada was exceptional. She used a patient and personal approach catering to his needs and successfully potty trained our boy. Nursery manager, Silvia, goes above and beyond to support the development of our children and the process of SEN referral for our son. Thank you Raphael. We will miss you.

Raphael Nursery has been an absolutely exceptional, nurturing environment for my son. He attended for a year and a half, and leaving has truly been heartbreaking - he loved every moment of his time there. The nursery has a beautiful sense of calm and grounding that was incredibly important to us as a family. Every single member of staff is warm, patient, and genuinely caring, and it is clear how deeply they care about the children. The impact they have had on my son's confidence, happiness, and development has been remarkable. Silvia, the manager, is outstanding. She is always approachable, open to feedback, and consistently goes above and beyond to support both children and parents. From day one, the entire team has been nothing short of fantastic. We feel so grateful to have been part of the Raphael Nursery community and honestly could not recommend it highly enough.

The team is truly exceptional: warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Our daughter was one of the first baby to join the nursery, and from the very beginning it felt like a truly special and nurturing place, with so much love and personal attention given to her. From 2022 to 2025, the nursery went through some changes, but no matter what, every new member of staff has always been incredibly kind, caring, and professional. The French learning was simply an extra benefit for us, as our family is Brazilian, but what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! Even without any French exposure at home, our daughter now sings, counts, and understands basic French words. It's been a beautiful and unexpected gift.

The facilities are bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of engaging activities indoors and outdoors. The team communicates clearly and regularly, and we've always felt confident that our daughter is safe, happy, and learning every day. Our daughter attended Raphael between October 2023 and September 2025, starting at 1 year old. She loved her time there and we had such a positive experience - we were all so sad to say goodbye when we relocated to a different area. The staff are extremely warm and caring and our daughter built such lovely friendships with many of them. The activities were diverse and interesting, she enjoyed outings and lovely events such as Sports Day and she loved the food! As English-speaking parents we were delighted with how her French understanding and speech developed, and we saw her grow so much in confidence and ability in all areas during her time there. We always felt that she was in safe hands at Raphael - even at the start when she took a week or two to settle, and were pleased with how we were kept informed about her progress and what she had been up to. We would highly recommend!

Would put our son to the same nursery without hesitation if we had to do it again.

In terms of follow-ups, an app is used on a daily basis to inform parents on their child's activities. A meeting is organised every quarter. It is a good occasion to ask all questions and better understand what are the next steps for your child. However, the Manager and her deputy are more than available to have a chat with you! Our daughter started at Raphael Nursery in October 2024. The staff are amazing, very kind and care a lot about the children. After almost a year she is able to understand French as well as English and she loves the activities in both languages. The food is amazing (that is very important for an Italian family) and my daughter eats everything they cook. The nursery is also very good at keeping us updated on what our daughter has been doing. She has developed so much since starting there and we can see little improvements everyday.

Our son started at Raphael Nursery a year ago, and really loves it there. The staff are kind, friendly and engaging and care deeply about the children. We also love that there are French and English activities every day, and that the staff and children are from diverse backgrounds. The food is amazing (much better than other nurseries that we had visited prior to choosing this one) - all the meals, including the snacks, are healthy and nutritious and cooked from scratch. The nursery is also very good at keeping us updated on what our son has been doing. He has developed so much since starting there, and we genuinely trust them to do the right thing for the children!

Our son started at Raphael's when he was 15 months old, and we're so grateful for the amazing care and support they gave. From day 1, it felt like home, and we're happy and confident leaving our son there because he was genuinely happy and so well cared for. The nursery went above and beyond-everything was well-organised, and they always kept us updated on everything. The food was great, and he always loved it. The activities in both FR and EN were super creative and stimulating. He's grown so much since starting- he learned to eat on his own, discovered a love for singing, picked up loads of new words, and learned to share. He always ran happily to his lovely teachers, and the rest of the staff, who were all so kind. Unfortunately, we had to switch nurseries recently, due to location, and it was such a hard choice-we still miss them so much. Even our son keeps asking for them, and we visit whenever we can. If they ever open a nursery near us, we'd go back straight away!

Our son has been at Raphael Nursery for the past 18 months, and we have been consistently impressed by the quality of the care he receives. The practitioners are so engaged with each child and support their development. They are a truly bilingual nursery, with engagement in both languages throughout the day.
