Raphael Nursery is a group of award-winning bilingual French nurseries. They are a family-owned setting. The Hammersmith branch is located only a short walk from both Hammersmith tube and bus station, making it the perfect spot for commuting families. The nursery welcomes children aged between 3 months and 5 years old. They open 51 weeks a year from 8.00am to 7.00pm.

They provide a living culture and creative exploration through the eyes of the child. By building on Montessori methods and linguistic arts, they have developed their unique curriculum. As a result, they prepare a child to excel in their foundation years.

The early years of a child's life are vital, they provide the foundations for thinking, communication, vision, attitudes and aptitudes and is the perfect time for children to learn foreign languages. Teachers at Raphael Nursery are French and English. These early years are ideal for a teacher to guide a child’s willingness and ability to learn. In the French nursery, bilingualism helps children to make sense of the world around them. It also helps them to discover the joy of communication.

A high level of academic achievement is a natural outcome in most Montessori schools and nurseries because of the supportive environment. Our daughter was one of the first baby to join the nursery, and from the very beginning it felt like a truly special and nurturing place, with so much love and personal attention given to her. From 2022 to 2025, the nursery went through some changes, but no matter what, every new member of staff has
always been incredibly kind, caring, and professional. The French learning was simply an extra benefit for us, as our family is Brazilian, but what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! Even without any French exposure at home, our daughter now sings, counts, and understands basic French words. It's been a beautiful and unexpected gift.


The facilities are bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of engaging activities indoors and outdoors. The team communicates clearly and regularly, and we've always felt confident that our daughter is safe, happy, and learning every day. Our daughter attended Raphael between October 2023 and September 2025, starting at 1 year old. She loved her time there and we had such a positive experience - we were all so sad to say goodbye when we relocated to a different area. The staff are extremely warm and caring and our daughter built such
lovely friendships with many of them. The activities were diverse and interesting, she enjoyed outings and lovely events such as Sports Day and she loved the food! As English-speaking parents we were delighted with how her French understanding and speech developed, and we saw her grow so much in confidence and ability in all areas during her time there. We always felt that she was in safe hands at Raphael - even at the start when she took a week or two to settle, and were pleased with how we were kept informed about her progress and what she had been up to. We would highly recommend!

We were so lucky to find a space for our son at Raphael Nursery Hammersmith. Our son has been there from 1 year old till his 3 years old. Across the nursery ALL the staff was caring, attention to details and trustworthy. For everymoment of his developmentbthe staff had so creative ways to support his
development. At the end of the day it was comforting to see that the referent and other members knew what our son did, slept, ate etc. Especially in these early years where they cannot express themselves properly.
Having a Chez onsite was a big plus for us - It was so important to us.
The nursery was clean with enough light and an outdoor space and well secured - which for central London we found was amazing.
Would put our son to the same nursery without hesitation if we had to do it again.

Our daughter attended Raphael Nursery for almost three years. We saw our daughter grow and develop thanks to the entire nursery team. The staff and management are the best! They understand children's needs perfectly and support them in their physical, intellectual and emotional development. The nursery
environment also helps with this development, which has been reinforced by the establishment of a special relationship with residents of a retirement home! This encourages intergenerational exchange, creates empathy and helps our elders!
In terms of follow-ups, an app is used on a daily basis to inform parents on their child's activities. A meeting is organised every quarter. It is a good occasion to ask all questions and better understand what are the next steps for your child. However, the Manager and her deputy are more than available to have a chat with you! It is really appreciable that kind of dedication! We highly recommend Raphael Nursery! Thank you Raphael Nursery!

Our daughter started at Raphael Nursery in October 2024. The staff are amazing, very kind and care a lot about the children. After almost a year she is able to understand French as well as English and she loves the activities in both languages. The food is amazing (that is very important for an Italian
family) and my daughter eats everything they cook. The nursery is also very good at keeping us updated on what our daughter has been doing. She has developed so much since starting there and we can see little improvements everyday.

Our son started at Raphael Nursery a year ago, and really loves it there. The staff are kind, friendly and engaging and care deeply about the children. We also love that there are French and English activities every day, and that the staff and children are from diverse backgrounds. The food is amazing
(much better than other nurseries that we had visited prior to choosing this one) - all the meals, including the snacks, are healthy and nutritious and cooked from scratch. The nursery is also very good at keeping us updated on what our son has been doing. He has developed so much since starting there, and we genuinely trust them to do the right thing for the children!

Our son started at Raphael's when he was 15 months old, and we're so grateful for the amazing care and support they gave. From day 1, it felt like home, and we're happy and confident leaving our son there because he was genuinely happy and so well cared for. The nursery went above and beyond-everything
was well-organised, and they always kept us updated on everything. The food was great, and he always loved it. The activities in both FR and EN were super creative and stimulating. He's grown so much since starting- he learned to eat on his own, discovered a love for singing, picked up loads of new words, and learned to share. He always ran happily to his lovely teachers, and the rest of the staff, who were all so kind. Unfortunately, we had to switch nurseries recently, due to location, and it was such a hard choice-we still miss them so much. Even our son keeps asking for them, and we visit whenever we can. If they ever open a nursery near us, we'd go back straight away!

Our daughter started at Raphael's when she was 9 months old. She's now almost 2.5 and we can honestly say we adore this nursery and feel sad thinking of the day she will no longer attend!
All the staff know our daughter (regardless of whether they work with her) and are kind, compassionate, and caring.
We have no question that our daughter is incredibly well looked after as she asks us every morning "Shall we go to nursery?".
She has made wonderful friends with the children and educators alike, and her skills have progressed in leaps and bounds - she constantly surprises us with things she has learned!

Our daughter has been in this nursery for nearly a year now and I could not say anything else than we are so pleased we chose this nursery! We feel like family, they know every parent and child's name, they remember absolutely everything about your child and make you feel really special.
Every staff

A loving and stimulating environment.
We enrolled our child 18 months ago, and it's been a fantastic experience for both of us. The staff are the true stars - they're incredibly warm, caring, and professional. They create a safe and nurturing environment that feels more like a second home than a daycare.
Our child has blossomed socially and academically. They offer a well-balanced curriculum with age-appropriate activities that are both educational and fun. We're particularly impressed with daily activities.
Communication is another strength. We receive regular updates on our child's day, including photos and anecdotes. The staff is always happy to address any questions or concerns we may have. Overall, we couldn't be happier with Raphael and highly recommend it to any parent looking for exceptional childcare.

Raphael Nursery is our extended family. I trust them with everything, to look after my daughter, teach her, hug her, rock her. The activities they do with the kids are simply incredible, 2 activities per day that target different capabilities. I would recommend 100%.
The staff are all super careful.
They try to accommodate our babies' needs as much as possible, they are flexible and caring.

Raphael Nursery is a top-notch nursery. I couldn't be happier with the level of care and attention the children are receiving. Our daughter has been going there for 18 months (she started as a baby and is now 2 years old) and she has been absolutely loving it from Day 1. It is such a joy to see her
running excitingly every morning to the nursery!
I am profoundly impressed by how kind, caring and dedicated the staff is. They put a lot of energy into stimulating the children's development (wide range of activities daily), my daughter loves it! Also, they provide regular in-depth feedback to the parents (app for the child's daily routine, written reports, 1-on-1 meetings to review the child's development).
The nursery also encourages the development of bridges between the family and the nursery which creates a very friendly environment for both the children and the parents.
Finally, the food is cooked daily onsite with fresh elements.
I highly recommend it without any hesitation!

Thanks to Raphael Nursery my daughter's confidence and speech have improved since attending. The staff are very friendly and attentive and are always happy to answer any questions. My baby loves her key teachers, especially one in particular as she was really helpful during my baby's settling-in process.
Seeing my baby's happy face is a big relief for me.

Our son transitioned from a previous nursery into Raphael after we moved house and he loves his new nursery. The staff are great and very caring, the kids do amazing activities that you get to see on a daily basis through the app and the artwork they take home and they have great facilities.
