The well-designed rooms are tailored to specific age groups. The Baby Room, catering to ages 3 to 18 months, features a dedicated sensory room for infants to explore and play. Bright Horizons Balham has been a blessing for our family. The facilities are top-notch, providing a safe and stimulating environment for our daughter. The staff are incredibly caring and professional, and the management team ensures everything runs smoothly. With a variety of engaging activities, our
child is thriving here. In only three months she has started to answer questions in English (we are not English natives). We couldn't be happier with our choice and highly recommend Bright Horizons to any parent seeking quality childcare.

Great nursery! Outside space is great. New management is also really good vs old management from 2022/2023. Hours are really good too. 11 hours a day. 51 weeks a year works well. Expensive but worth it (just about). Kids play in the garden a lot which is nice. Would be good for outside people to come
in now and again on a weekly basis and also take kids out somewhere for the day if possible.

Bright Horizons, Balham, has been amazing for both me and my daughter. Though it's not my closest nursery, I'm willing to travel the extra distance for the quality of care and support. The app is fantastic at updating me on my daughter's progress and day to day activities. I love the ease and effective
communication between me and the staff. My daughter loves this nursery and settled in with ease and no hesitation. I look forward to sending my other daughter.

We had a great settling in session. The manager was very friendly and tailored the sessions as per the baby's progress. Baby got comfortable very early. I have to compliment the kitchen staff because my baby loves the food here! One area of feedback would be to give more detailed status reports as to

The Balham branch have been exceptional, they have put structures in place to ensure all children are improving and developing. The staff are very polite and they listen to all feedback from parents to ensure their level of services are maintained to a high standard. I've had a great experience and

Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. One of the largest nurseries in the area for indoor/outdoor space which was a big positive for us. Our child is very happy here and does plenty of activities during the week.

Balham nursery and preschool comes with outstanding recommendations. The manager and her staff are absolutely A-star. They work as a team. Their work with the children is absolutely outstanding. I like the consistency in the nursery and also encourage parents to continue at home. The staff are all well
experienced. My grandson has matured since going to the nursery. He loves the nursery and will soon be moving on. I don't know how we are going to manage him leaving.

My daughter really enjoys going to nursery here. The rooms and garden are wonderful. The nursery promotes really good habits in the children which are important to us. The food is fantastic and I’m always jealous of the meals she has there! The learning themes are fun and engaging for the children.

My daughter wakes up really excited to go to ‘her nursery’. Very reassuring for a Mother to hear. The communication has still been great during lockdown and I know each day how much she has eaten, slept and what she’s enjoyed doing. It’s not been easy for anyone during lockdown/in a pandemic but Bright
Horizon have made it feel so much more manageable and safe. I can’t recommend it enough.

I love the atmosphere in the nursery, there is nothing nicer than having your little toddler excited to go somewhere every morning and to hear the staff talk about your child with such affection. I can definitely recommend the Balham Day nursery. My son settled so very well here after we moved to the area. He enjoys coming here and is always excited to show me what they have been doing all day. the learning is great with so many resources. Management is always helpful they answer all questions.
In general, the staff is great too. My son started only two months ago so still getting used to a little bit.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Yasmin joined Bright Horizons in 2021 and brings over 17 years of experience working in Early Years and Montessori settings. Throughout her career, she has learned to value each child as a unique individual—full of potential, character, and curiosity.


Yasmin has strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and SEND, and she is passionate about supporting every aspect of a child’s learning and development. She encourages curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning through play. Yasmin has had the pleasure of working with many families and professionals, building strong relationships and supporting children on their individual journeys. She believes that effective parent partnerships are essential to a child’s success and is committed to maintaining open, honest, and supportive communication with families.


As a Nursery Manager, Yasmin brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a reflective approach to her work. She is hardworking, self-motivated, and always seeking ways to inspire her team while creating a warm, inclusive environment where both children and staff can thrive.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Jamie has over 13 years of experience in the early years field. Through the years, she has experienced working with all age groups, which has enabled her to build up a wealth of knowledge around children’s development and leadership. Jamie has a passion for ensuring that each child is provided with the opportunity to access an enabling, nurturing, stimulating environment that allows the children to thrive through the first five years of their development at Balham.
