The recently renovated Bright Horizons Balham Day Nursery and Preschool provides a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery prides itself on offering secure and exciting childcare where children thrive and relish the learning experience.

The well-designed rooms are tailored to specific age groups. The Baby Room, catering to ages 3 to 18 months, features a dedicated sensory room for infants to explore and play. The Toddler Room, designed for children aged 18 to 32 months, focuses on physical development, supports toilet training, and enhances speech and language skills. In their Preschool Room, catering to children aged 32 months to 5 years, structured activities encourage curiosity, independent exploration, and skill development to prepare them for school and future endeavours.

We had an absolutely brilliant experience. Our son had just turned 1 and both me and him struggled a little bit with the transition to nursery (me more I suspect). The staff at bright horizons were so so supportive and patient. My son settled so quickly. Unfortunately we had to move nursery but we were
devastated to move him. The food is great, facilities are great, the app is great and always updated but most importantly all of the staff are so kind and loving and my son was so so happy there.

Our experience has been very positive so far. Communication is excellent, the staff are brilliant, the facilities are lovely. I dropped a mark for safeguarding because the front door has been temperamental but it does seem to be a bit better. I wish the buggy store was better too, as it is a bit broken
and suffers from miss-use by parents. Otherwise, we are very happy indeed.

Bright Horizons Balham is fantastic. My son has been attending the nursery for over a year now. It has been fantastic for his development, he is extremely happy and skips with joy to nursery each day. The staff are warm and friendly and I have complete trust in them to care for my son. The nursery has
recently been refurbished and the facilities are incredible, complete with separate gardens for babies and toddlers. The variety of activities is great and I love seeing the daily updates on the app with activities such as baking, painting etc. All in all, we are extremely happy with the nursery, my son is thriving, and we really recommend it to anyone considering a nursery for their child in the area.

We're so pleased we chose Bright Horizons in Balham for our daughter. The staff are so kind and supportive and the building, rooms and garden are lovely. Our 1 year old has settled quickly due to their tailored settling in process and my anxieties about leaving her as a first time mum have melted away.
She gets the best possible care and we get regular updates on the app about her day and all the fun activities she's enjoying.

My daughter has settled in beautifully at Balham Day Nursery and Preschool. I appreciated the settling in period being tailored to ensure a smooth transition and not too much disturbance with our routine. Upon deciding which nursery to choose for my son one and a half years ago, Bright Horizons Balham Day Nursery and Preschool came as a very easy choice. It is bright, airy and clean; with fantastic facilities to help stretch the imaginations of the children and broaden their horizons! They have an app
which is a perfect platform for keeping up to date with my son's progress. He has learned so much since attending. His speech and vocabulary have come on leaps and bounds. The staff are amazing and were exceptional in potty training my son; he was out of nappies in no time. My son looks forward to attending every day and I would definitely recommend Bright Horizons to everyone!

I couldn't be more impressed with the team and the care they give to my child than at Bright Horizons Balham Day Nursery and Preschool. We think the facilities are fantastic because everything is virtually brand-new, there is heaps of space, two gardens one which is shaded, and everything is up-to-date
and super clean. The chef cooks the food on site and it is super nutritious and all home-cooked - I got too try one of the soups and was the best I had had! Also, because the nursery only reopened recently, it is not yet at capacity and the staff to children ratio is far better than any other nursery in London I would guess! My boy absolutely loves it, he loves the other kids, he loves the staff and he has so much fun. We get regular updates on the app so we can see pictures and anything else we might want to know. The team there are really flexible so we can add on days if we need to with ease and all the admin side of putting a child to nursery run super smoothly. I can't recommend this place enough!

The staff here are really what makes the difference. From chef to carers, to cleaners, to managers, they're all so lovely, friendly, welcoming and professional. The building is huge, well laid out across each level and very well stocked with plenty of variety for all ages. The children really enjoy

We are so pleased with the care that our son has been receiving since starting at this nursery two years ago. The facilities are spacious, clean and beautifully laid out, the outdoor space is so big, quite uncommon for London. We also love that the staff are always so friendly and supportive.

Our daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Balham since January and we are very pleased overall. The staff is very welcoming, they have a kind word for every child and make sure they provide you with regular updates. The garden is an amazing add-on, the kids spend quite a lot of time outside weather
permitting. We have been impressed by the multiple activities, especially for babies. Our daughter goes there with a smile on her face every day and for us, it says it all.

This was my first choice of nursery and I have not been disappointed. My daughter joined Bright Horizons Balham at 9 months and has really developed during her time there. She has formed a lovely bond with the care workers and they have really made the effort to get to know her personality, likes and

My son has been attending Bright Horizons Balham for the past two years, and our experience has been positive.
The facilities are top-notch and meticulously maintained. Cleanliness is clearly a priority. One of the standout features is the huge garden, which is separated into sections for babies, toddlers
and preschoolers.
The staff are great. I have always felt confident that my son is in good hands, and he has formed strong bonds with many of the caregivers.
While there have been a few ups and downs in the past with staff turnover and management changes, things have significantly improved during the last year under the latest management.

Ever since my daughter joined Balham Day Nursery, I have witnessed alot of development in her growing up as a child. She can interact very well, she enjoyed reading and socialised with other people easily. I can also, recommend all the members of the staff for their wonderful job on the kids, starting
from the Manager to the staff. They are polite in welcoming us every morning and evening, they are very helpful in updating us with the daily activities of my kid. We have been really happy with the care given to our daughters at Balham Bright Horizons. It is a warm and welcoming environment and the team really cares about the children and encourages a lovely community between the kids. They also do great activities that allow the children to learn but ensure
that they have fun and enjoy their time there. The management and room leaders are also really responsive and help children to adapt to room moves or returns from holidays with lots of care and attention. We also love the outdoor space which the children get to use daily and the regular updates and photos on the app.

Yasmin joined Bright Horizons in 2021 and brings over 17 years of experience working in Early Years and Montessori settings. Throughout her career, she has learned to value each child as a unique individual—full of potential, character, and curiosity.


Yasmin has strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and SEND, and she is passionate about supporting every aspect of a child’s learning and development. She encourages curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning through play. Yasmin has had the pleasure of working with many families and professionals, building strong relationships and supporting children on their individual journeys. She believes that effective parent partnerships are essential to a child’s success and is committed to maintaining open, honest, and supportive communication with families.

Jamie has over 13 years of experience in the early years field. Through the years, she has experienced working with all age groups, which has enabled her to build up a wealth of knowledge around children’s development and leadership. Jamie has a passion for ensuring that each child is provided with the opportunity to access an enabling, nurturing, stimulating environment that allows the children to thrive through the first five years of their development at Balham.

She has strong relationships with both existing and potential parents at Balham, offering support and guidance regularly through tours, nursery events and daily queries.
