Bright Horizons West Hampstead Station Day Nursery and Preschool is a beautiful Victorian villa, renovated to a high standard, designed to bring the outdoors in. The big windows maximise the feeling of light and space within the building.

Unlike some London nurseries, the nursery has a large garden at the rear where children can play sports, ride bikes on a cycling track with traffic lights and enjoy sensory experiences.

The most important factor in recommending this nursery is that the staff is really caring and look after the child in a very loving fashion. In addition, the facilities are great with a large outside space.

Pros:
Our child is well looked after and we feel she's in a safe environment.

Staff and management are very kind and personable.

Cons:
Rooms, toys & equipment need a refurbishment as they look quite old.
The current room gives off a smell which could be from an old rug that needs replacing.

Webcam feature is great but the resolution is too low to be able to see much.

My daughter first attended this nursery when she was 8m old. The staff in the baby room helped her settle very quickly and over the last 7m she has grown in confidence and learnt so much. She is now in a new room (1-2year olds) and could not be happier. She eats well, sleeps well and learns so much. The staff support and care for her so well, this is an excellent nursery.

Our daughter has been at Active Learning West Hampstead for 6 months and really enjoys it. The staff are fantastic and the range of activities they do are brilliant. They have taken time and care to get to know her and she looks forward to going. Her independence and confidence have really grown since she has started and all the staff both teachers and management know her well. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery to anyone who was considering it.

We are a family from Brazil, living for one year in London. We chose the nursery because they seemed the best option in the neighbourhood, and we were right.

Since the beginning, they treated our 3-year-old son with care and attention, which made him learn English and adapt very quickly. We are very happy with his learning and adaptation since then, and he loves the school - always commenting about his teachers, who have been doing an incredible job.

My little boy took a while to settle in but all the staff worked hard in helping that happen. Nice concept of having lessons/structure to the day and children get to move around the nursery to keep their day varied. Very flexible when required which is very handy when working and circumstances changing. Well thought out structure of the day compared to other nurseries i.e. timing of meals and naps.

My daughter is attending Active Learning West Hampstead since she was about 1 year old, and we are very happy with the care she receives there. The staff is lovely, very warm and friendly. The staff give us a daily update on the days' activities and what our daughter has been up to, including small details such as how well she's eaten, who she played with, which activities she enjoyed more, etc. The nursery is very clean and organized, with a relaxed and positive atmosphere. As parents, we are very happy with the nursery.

Had both my kids in that nursery from age 5 months to 2 years. Very good team - very professionally run nursery. Staff take good care of kids. Days well structured for kids with good activities. Great opening hours for parents as it opens from 7:30 am. My kids were happy there.

We have had our daughter in Active Learning West Hampstead for more than 2.5 years and we are super happy with the way it's being run.
The care, knowledge, diversity of classes and education is more than anything we could offer ourselves. The nursery has great opening hours, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food is good.
The kids seem to love it and I can't speak highly enough of the carers and teachers. They are all super lovely and they really care and bond with the children.

It's the perfect solution for a working city couple like us. Worthwhile the added trip on the bus in the morning.

Active Learning West Hampstead provides professional and warmhearted care.
Our daughter started full time daycare at the age of 5 months and she has been very happy there.

The carers are lovely, the rooms are neat and the outdoor space is spacious. We would definitively recommend this nursery!

My daughter has attended Active Learning West Hampstead since she was 11 months old. She enjoys it and is very settled. The staff are caring and engaging. I feel she is very well looked after and she is involved in lots of activities to help her development.

There were some admin issues when she first joined, but this has now been addressed and quality of communication with parents is very good.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for the last two years. We couldn't be happier! All staff (not only her key worker) are knowledgeable about her day, what she likes, activities she enjoys etc. She adores spending time with the practitioners and other kids. Almost every morning she's very excited to go to the nursery and we are extremely proud to see how well she develops and how independent she becomes.
