Shining Stars Nursery & Pre-School

My child's confidence has bloomed since starting and my older child is always desperate to come back for holiday club.

Absolutely lovely place. My daughter started just after she turned two with the funded hours allotted. She’s now completed her first year and without a doubt sending her to Shining Stars has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. Her key worker is her favourite person. She absolutely loves going to school. They do tons of crafts. The forest school lets the kids explore and get their hands dirty. She’s made great friends with the other kids. There was amazing communication with management. They even took the time to check on me throughout my pregnancy. I was worried with her being a pandemic baby about her socialisation but she’s flourished under their care. Thank you so much to the team!

Our daughter has absolutely loved her time in the Baby Room - she is happy to go into the nursery in the mornings and always enjoys her days there. Staff are cheerful and caring, and we feel confident that she is well looked after there. Would definitely recommend.

You can tell a lot of time goes into activities and events as there is something new happening each week, whether it's learning about history or cooking food! We are very happy with Shining Stars and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

All the team and managers are always very supportive of our particular needs. All the staff seem friendly and helpful. My son is always very happy when going in and coming out of nursery. Always seems a happy and nurturing place to be.

My daughter started in September. She had come from a small childminders so I was a little apprehensive, she’s not always taken to new people and settings very well. (We are currently waiting to see if she has autism.) Everyone put my mind at ease and my daughter went in well. All the staff have been amazing with her, they give her all the time she needs, always smiling and happy. On days she’s having a moment they are fantastic with her, they even call me to let me know she’s settled. They never rush either of us and always have time to speak to me if I have any question. She has come in leaps and bounds doing things we never thought she would do as she has other health conditions. I wouldn’t take her anywhere else and so glad I made the right choice.

He enjoys all his time here, and we do too, for him.

My daughter went to this nursery for almost two whole years! Starting in the baby room and eventually moving on to the toddler room. After a few difficult weeks in the beginning transitioning, the staff made my daughter feel super welcome and safe, and eventually, she would go running in and not looking back! When my daughter moved into the toddler room, she very much enjoyed herself throughout her time at shining stars; however, one particular staff member that shone through for both myself and my daughter, and she was always super excited when she saw her and would talk continuously about her after days at nursery! This staff member went out of her way to collect all photographs of my daughter and put them into a card signed by all from Shining Stars for when she left. Lovely gestures like this really enabled us to close the chapter of this nursery positively and allow our memories to look back on! Thank you all at Shining Stars!

This nursery has excelled at providing excellent support and understanding to my son and his needs, as well as providing support to parents along the way. They have also been more than helpful in assisting; they provide all the children with ranges of needs the support and tools they need to help them develop into wonderful little people.

My son is in the toddler room, and he struggled to settle in, but the staff were fantastic in settling him in and works very hard to make it as easy as possible for me and my son when I drop him off; everyone is friendly and has good communication, they always tell me how he has got on, and if there was any problems. Would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Shining Stars Nursery & Pre-School enough. The staff are amazing they go above and beyond. My son has come on leaps and bounds since starting. He was shy and withdrawn but absolutely loves coming to nursery and has come out of his shell. My son has some extra needs which the staff have supported him in every way. He always comes out smiling and showing what he's done. Highly recommended couldn't ask for a better nursery... thank you Shining Stars.

The staff greet us in the morning and provide me with a full rundown of what he's been up to when I pick him up in the evening and what activities he's been doing, and what he has had for lunch and tea. The staff are incredibly hardworking, caring and loving and treat my son just like their own child. They go above and beyond for my son, and I will forever be grateful for the love and support they have given. His development has come on leaps and bounds since joining, and I can't thank you enough!

Shining Stars was the only nursery we looked at, and from the first day, I just knew it would be the place my daughter would thrive. She's been attending for a year now, at first, just one day, now three, and she loves it! Drop-off is never an issue. They celebrate a variety of events on the calendar, meaning my daughter learns about smaller celebrations as well as the bigger ones. The preschool staff are absolutely amazing!

Shining Stars Nursery & Pre-School have been amazing with my son; they always go above and beyond. My son was so quiet, but since starting last year, his confidence has grown so much; it's lovely to see. I'd highly recommend them to all my family and friends.

I can’t praise Shining Stars Nursery enough for nurturing, educating and caring for my little one. They are above and beyond five stars. From the settling in session, until now, all the staff have been absolutely incredible to my son. A big thank you to you all, especially to the toddler room teacher for all the love.

I have three young children who all go to the nursery. My youngest has come on so well with his speech and confidence since starting at the nursery. My two oldest have excelled exceptionally well. The preschool is helping them to get ready for the transition to primary school. The staff overall are all lovely and caring; it's a great nursery, and I'm very happy with how my children are cared for and how well they have progressed.

The staff greet us in the morning and provide me with a full rundown of what she's been up to when I pick her up in the evening, alongside a daily sheet which tells me what she's been learning, eating, sleeping etc. The staff are really accommodating and caring, giving her required medication as instructed, and of course, some extra cuddles to help her feel better. Since joining, her development has come on leaps and bounds, and I drop her off smiling and pick her up still smiling.

My daughter had been going to Shining Stars since September 2021, and since being there, she's been so confident, so independent, and her talking is now coming on massively! She loves going every day, she's made so many friends, and she adores the staff. The staff have been brilliant, I couldn't fault them enough! Honestly, they are so helpful, friendly, makes you feel so welcome, and make the children feel safe and happy. I would recommend this nursery to any other nurseries in the area.

Both my children attend this nursery, and I can’t recommend it enough! My children love going, and I’m always kept up to date with their daily activities and their progress. My little boy is in preschool and is learning so many new things, and he’s really getting ready to start school in September; he’s learning to write his name, the alphabet, counting and phonics, something I feel is really important for them to learn at a young age. The preschool leader is amazing and works so hard to make sure the children are happy; she’s an absolute credit to the nursery. My little girl is in the baby room and loves every minute of the nursery; she’s never once cried going in, right from her first settle session. The baby room work really hard to make sure the babies are stimulated and given the tools to develop their skills. My daughter is always doing different things; they run a weekly theme for the room with specific activities catered to the theme. All members of staff are very caring.

My daughter has been attending since September 2021. It was a bit of a rocky road at the start, but the toddler's room made it warm and welcoming for her, and now she’s enjoying herself and leaving me without hesitation. The staff are really friendly, and there is always someone at the other end of the phone to answer any questions you may have. It is a lovely place for my daughter to attend, not only it is close, but also the team are really good with her. The outdoor space for them is amazing with lots of different activities, and the inside space is brilliant with different rooms for ages. Also, the sensory room is room to look at. The cleanliness of the building is great! My daughter has only had one meal as she’s on 3-hours a day, but she had Christmas dinner this year; she’s a picky eater, but they made her feel so comfortable, and she was able to eat with her friends and everyone else! I’m really glad I found this nursery, as both myself, my daughter and my daughter's dad love it here.
