A brilliant nursery housing three settings; for Under 2s (Discoverers), 2-3s (Investigators) and 3+ (Trailblazers). It's a fairly small building, meaning the numbers per room are not too large - making you feel confident your child is getting great care & attention. The team there are always friendly and we have created a strong connection with certain staff members over the time our daughter has spent at Muddy Boots Gildersome. The app used by the nursery is also great. It's regularly updated so that you can follow along with what your little one has been getting up to. Would recommend this setting without hesitation.

I love the outdoor adventure vibe so it's great to see my baby getting time outside to play. My baby's key worker is very caring and he really has a bond with her which I'm so pleased about! I like that Muddy Boots give 4 offerings of food a day too.

Recently we have had a few traumatic and unfortunate/unforeseen personal things happen to us as a family.

The girls and management at muddy boots Gildersome have gone above and beyond for us as a family and have helped massively making life easier.

I already knew the nursery was incredible my daughter (2) has settled so well and absolutely loves her days (so much so we've added another just for her no other reason) but what they've done for us as a family in recent months will never be forgotten.

We love muddy boots and the girls there really do make it the nursery it is x

We've been really happy since sending our son to muddy boots this year. We particularly enjoy how organised and slick the organisation is, we feel comfortable leaving our son there, he has a great time and we enjoy hearing all about his day at handover.

I would definitely recommend muddy boots gildersome to any parent looking for somewhere to place their child. We was very anxious about putting our daughter in nursery, but the staff have been brilliant from the first look round we had, and made us feel at ease. They give updates on our child throughout the day & also settled our daughter in very well from the start. They have very good food options for the kids meal times/snacks, and do a lot of fun and engaging activities with the children inside and outside to help them progress with their learning. We have definitely noticed an improvement on our daughter development since she started here in Jan 2026

We have been using Muddy Boots Acomb for almost 7 years (I have 3 children) and highly recommend the nursery. My 2 year old is currently in the investigators room and my older children attend holiday clubs in Pioneers. As with all nurseries it is the practitioners that make it and the practioners here are amazing. Always friendly, supportive, answer questions just lovely people. Many of the staff have been here for a number of years which is great for consistency for the children too.

My child loves coming to nursery he runs in and is always greeted lovely by the staff. He always comes home and tells me about the things he has been doing during the day! He has learnt so much from been there it amazes me each week with something new he has learnt! Management are super approachable and very quick to get back to you, the staff are also very friendly.

My son has been here for almost 2 years now. We joined Muddyboots after loving how much outdoor space they have and the ability to access this the majority of the time. They help all the team have given with his development milestones has been fantastic he is starting school in September and we are so sad to be leaving. The team really apply a 'normal' approach to everything rather than being over the top on restrictions and I really feel like they adjust everything to fit the individual children

His development in his speech and language has come on leaps and bounds since starting. He has also learnt to play kindly alongside other children and share without fuss. The staff are so attentive and communication from staff is outstanding. The management are extremely approachable and helpful and the setting itself has a great set up with a huge outdoor space which our son loves to play in.

Fantastic set up and very good with my daughter. She has learnt so much coming to nursery and she loves to go. All of the nursery workers are really lovely and take lots of time to get to know each child.

We highly recommend this nursery. Our little one is slowly settling in and everyone has been incredibly supportive.

Parents receive daily updates about the children's day. You can also check their meals/nappy changes/naps.

We have been using Muddy Boots for our children since 2026 and despite the fact it is a 25 minute drive from home, plus it is now in the opposite direction for both mine and my partner's work, we continue to send our children there as I could not bear to see them anywhere else. Our son O loves it there and has done so in every room. He has developed a close relationship with all of his key workers and still loves it when his previous key workers come into the Trailblazers room to cover. Our daughter started in Discoverers a few months ago and has settled in so well which has been lovely to see. She appears happy and contented there and everyone is so attentive to her that it is evident that they care so much for each individual child. Sultan has a special place in O's heart and I know he is secretly jealous that she is moving to discoverers and will be spending more time with his sister!

Both of my girls go to Muddy Boots and the care is second to none. The staff are amazing and it has become a home from home. I would definitely recommend the nursery. I know that my girls are well cared for, well fed and are getting the best start to their education. Well done Muddy Boots.

L has progressed well in his short time in the Adventurers room, starting to try and say words/sounds and also his physical development, which is thanks to the focus of Sharon and the team. The facilities at Poppleton and experiences available to the children are far superior than anything I've seen/heard if in another nursery setting

I don't know where to start! My child started nursery in Stamford Bridge in November 2025 and I can't begin to explain how happy and proud of this setting I am. My child has come on so well since starting here. When it comes to focus week Debbie who is my child's key worker writes the most beautiful words and you can tell how much effort goes into writing these. All the girls in the room are fantastic. My little girl gets so excited to go into nursery. Seeing how much love and care she gets brings me so much happiness. It will be sad to change rooms soon as it feels like she's got a second little family going on there. Well done to the team in there. I'm so grateful for your hard work

"My children have both been comfortable with whoever they have been placed with and that has been my biggest takeaway. The communication is also spot on incase of accidents or anything out of the norm and also reassuring as it can be quite hard on parents not being present in those moments to know their children are safe and cared for. The flexibility in managing changes in circumstances is beyond measurable and I can only praise the team in the office for all their hard work. An all round great experience and I will continue to refer when and where possible."

D learns so much at nursery he is always coming home with new words and rhymes. He is always happy to go to nursery and very rarely upset when we leave. He sometimes does not want to come home! He loves his key worker Georgia and mentions her name lots at home.

My son is currently in the Gildersome setting and the Nursery is absolute amazing. My child has been in there since the age of 1 and wasn't not confident with new people or surroundings. However Muddy boots have really turned it around especially my Sons Key workers his confidence have grown, his speech has come on leap and bounds and its no hassle on a morning to get him to nursery for me to rush to work. The nursery is very accommodating and patient with both parent and child. The communication is brilliant and secure which is a piece of mind for me as In the nature of my work I need to ensure my child is safe and happy and looked after. Recently, I was offered a different setting however due to the most recent visit I was not happy to remove my child from Muddy boots and its the best decision made. Muddy Boots is embedded in our hearts as when im telling my son he has done something wrong at home he gets shoes and says his Key worker name and goes to the door!

Our little girl is super nervous around new people but Megan helped her settle in so quickly, she talks about her a lot at home and now gets excited to go into nursery! She has come along so well since starting at Muddy Boots. Her speech, counting and confidence have all come along leaps and bounds! We love the updates we receive about how she is developing her different skills at nursery.

Very happy I chose Muddy Boots to be my son's nursery. I couldn't be happier with the level of communication from Muddy Boots from the start. I really appreciated the midday messages in the early days when I was anxious leaving my son with them, and they always take the time to talk to me about his day when I collect him. They regularly write snapshots and focus week assessments so I know how he is getting on developmentally. The quality of the setting environment is impressive too which was important to me, as well as the focus activities they do with the children every day. There is clear progression from room to room too as the children get older. My son loves coming here and I have full faith in the service they provide
