Muddy Boots Nursery (Poppleton)

Very happy I chose Muddy Boots to be my son's nursery. I couldn't be happier with the level of communication from Muddy Boots from the start. I really appreciated the midday messages in the early days when I was anxious leaving my son with them, and they always take the time to talk to me about his day when I collect him. They regularly write snapshots and focus week assessments so I know how he is getting on developmentally. The quality of the setting environment is impressive too which was important to me, as well as the focus activities they do with the children every day. There is clear progression from room to room too as the children get older. My son loves coming here and I have full faith in the service they provide

" F and his key worker J are best pals - F really loves the time they spend together and chats about J and his dog at home all the time. F has the best time together playing at nursery and J gives wonderful updates on F's progress and development - and J really understands and encourages his interests as well as challenging him along the way. The activities to develop motor skills, number counting and social skills are great and the progress we can see at home is just growing week by week. R, his buddy - is the kindest and most wonderful lady - and F loves his cuddles and book time with her. These two fantastic people make F's experience so enjoyable and Muddy Boots is lucky to have them

My 19-month-old has been attending muddy boots 5 days a week for 10 months now. She absolutely loves it! It truly is a home from home for her and she genuinely misses it over the weekend! Her development is just excellent. Her language is coming on leaps and bounds and she’s always singing some new song from Nursery. We really couldn’t be happier with muddy boots. The food is varied and has encouraged her to try different things whilst also having some of her firm favourites. The outdoor philosophy and free flow outdoor play have been a big hit since moving into the Adventurers room and I love that she gets plenty of fresh air. The staff are all so lovely and genuinely love and care about the kids. I really feel like they are my daughters second family. She’s now moved through 3 rooms and in each one, the staff have been just great and she has developed so much, it’s such a stimulating environment geared to constant discovery which my little one loves!

Outstanding day nursery in my opinion. Staff very conscious about security of the children using varied methods (fingerprint scanner/passwords etc). Facilities are great, everything a child needs to grow and learn. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, always! When collecting children you are given a rundown of what your child has done during the day, what they’ve eaten, how they’ve interacted, any toilet accidents etc, keeping you well informed. I always feel personally assured of my child’s wellbeing when I drop him off. Superb nursery and high praise are well deserved.

My daughter's experience of Muddy Boots has been a really enjoyable one so far. She loves coming and often counts down to her days here. The staff are great and she has really warmed to them all. I think the handover at the end of a session is really thorough and helpful. We feel she has developed well here and you will have helped set her up ready for school.

My daughter loves coming to Muddy Boots, in particular for its great outdoor facilities and the opportunity to get very messy whilst playing! I would highly recommend this place if you have a restless child who needs lots of stimuli and want them to learn using the curiosity approach.

The care and support that the staff provide make Muddy Boots Nursery feel like a family. Both of my sons have attended and have enjoyed learning, playing and developing in this lovely environment. The new venue is amazing, the staff are friendly and go the extra mile to make sure the children are happy, safe and supported.

Both my children attend Muddy Boots Nursery. My eldest is due to leave later in the year to start school and my youngest has a few years to go before they start school. I find the staff to be welcoming and friendly with plenty of support and guidance offered to parents, you just need to ask.

My children like going and have made friends, and I believe the structure of the nursery in terms of objectives and aims as well as looking after and monitoring my child's progress is done in a positive fashion.

I would recommend the nursery to family and friends.

We couldn’t be happier with Muddy Boots as our little boy’s second home. He loves it and we have always been impressed with how much the staff genuinely love and care for him. The building, food and range of activities are all excellent. He is constantly encouraged to learn and try new things and the staff are great at spotting what will inspire and engage him personally.

My daughter has been at Muddy Boots for nearly 2 years, she has totally loved it and still does, she has special needs so I was very nervous about leaving her with someone else but I was put at ease straight away, the staff do so much with her and she has thrived, she loves all the staff, in particular, her key worker. We will be very sad when my daughter moves to school.

The staff at Muddy Boots show undisguised love for the children in their care and beam with pride when talking about my little one. I trust them entirely with my child's safety, well-being and development.

This nursery is a modern and well-equipped nursery. There are lovely areas inside and out for my child to explore, play and learn in. He is really comfortable with his key worker, who keeps my wife and I informed about his day. Photos are taken and notes are made, which are shared through an App at regular intervals throughout the month. It was particularly useful for our child and us, for him to gradually increase the amount of time he spent at the nursery in the beginning. All staff seem very friendly and helpful.

Our son has started Muddy Boots in the last year and it’s been such an easy transition as we (as parents) have seen how happy our son is to be there. It’s obvious from his reactions he enjoys the diverse activities and interaction of playing with other children and staff. The facilities are beautiful and the atmosphere is warm and homely. A brilliant nursery that i’d certainly reccomend! Thank you Muddy Boots x

By far the best nursery I’ve come across! My daughter has only been attending for 2 months but so far she loves it. It didn’t take her long to settle in at all and that’s because of the amazing help from the brilliant staff! I can go to work knowing my daughter is in the best hands and that she’ll be having fun. The staff and so kind and generous and they work so hard helping each child develop to their full potential! 10 out of 10 from me.

A happy team of staff, who always seem to be treated like family by the management, work hard together to create a brilliant environment for the kids. They are dedicated, energetic and caring, turning the fantastic facilities into an inspiring home from home.

So very pleased with how our daughter has settled at Muddy Boots! She is coming on leaps and bounds and enjoying lots of new experiences. The feedback and photos we get on ParentZone are very reassuring and her carers put so much effort into updating us with lots of info. I highly recommend Muddy Boots nursery.

My son recently joined Muddy Boots and the staff have been amazing at helping him to settle in. Communication has been great! During the first few sessions, they called to let me know he was settling well and I've also appreciated all the information when I pick him up - it's lovely to know what he's been up to, and hear about the fun he's had. I've also loved looking at the photos that have been uploaded to ParentzZone.
