An absolutely fantastic nursery, since my daughter starting with them at 9 months they have been nothing but attentive, professional and loving towards her. She has developed so much with the activities they arrange and they have brought the absolute best out of her. She has gone through a lot of change
in her time there and nursery has been a fantastic supportive consistent place not only for her but for me too. Can't thank them enough and so glad I chose here.

Wonderful place with lovely staff! My little boy is sometimes very shy and doesn't adjust well to strange faces, but the kind staff make him feel comfortable enough that he reaches for them in the morning and blows kisses when he's picked up. We've a difficult situation at home with my critically ill
wife, and the staff members at the nursery have gone above and beyond to make us feel safe regarding illnesses and infections etc. We feel involved at every stage and feel comfortable and confided our little boy is in the best hands! Very kindly gone the extra mile to accommodate us in a difficult time, lots of updates etc though the day. The app and all the information that's part of the care package is great and you can see how your child has done with meal times, naps, nappies etc
All in all extremely pleased would recommend to all!

My daughter is in her second week at Kaleidoscope. I was very nervous about this transition, as she had been attending a childminder for a few months and was always very distressed at parting and reuniting with me and her dad. However, I had nothing to worry about. She is so clearly happy at nursery
and is thriving. She is making lots of new friends, getting so much better at socialising, and learning that being away from Mummy isn't that scary at all. I love the variety of activities she does every day, how caring all the staff are with her, and how much her language and motor skills are improving even in just the short time she has been there. I love the updates on the app and seeing what she's been up to each day. It also makes it very easy to plan sleep patterns and food for the evening, knowing exactly what she's eaten. I hope she continues to love it as much as she is doing at the moment! Thank you so much.

The nursery location is great, plenty of parking at drop off/pick up. Inside the nursery is lovely and clean, many of the toys are from natural materials and there is outside space for them to play. The staff are amazing, so friendly and welcoming. My children absolutely love their time here. You receive
updates via the app of what activities/meals take place each day which is great to see.

My daughter loves it here. All the pictures show a smiling happy baby.
Outdoor space it’s great and they spend time outside, all ages and in all weathers, which I think is great!
My daughter's key worker seems to have a lovely bond with my daughter and time really was invested in their relationship
when she first started the nursery.
They do some great activities and lots of messy play and also have external parties come in for music lessons.
The staff are friendly and supportive and I actually love how strict they are on the door if they don’t recognise a parent. Passwords must be given.
My daughter has experienced a wide range of foods with varying flavours and textures. It’s a very good varied menu.
I think the costs are expensive but no different to all the other day nurseries. Luckily, I will receive the free government hours eventually.

Kaleidescope Drighlington has been a fantastic nursery for both of my children. In particular my son who has a speech delay. They have gone above and beyond to make sure his time there is enjoyable and supported him on his speech journey with professionals and constant updates on his progress. I couldn't
be happier with them. Highly recommend!

My eldest started in Nov 2018 age 2 1/2 after a recommendation from a friend and from that moment I’ve never looked back. The care she received throughout her time at Kaleidoscope was outstanding, the staff are so polite, loving and caring and nothing is too much trouble. This year was extremely hard
due to the Coronavirus but the staff and management have worked so incredibly hard to ensure a safe but still fun environment for all the children. My eldest left in August 2020 (to start primary school) but is hoping to attend the KOOSH holiday club in the future. My younger child then started in September, I was worried that because she’d spent most of her life in lockdown and hadn’t been left with anybody for more than a hour or two before that she would struggle to settle in. Fortunately, it was the complete opposite, she absolutely loves going, goes running in each morning and her development and independence have improved massively.
I would not hesitate to recommend Kaleidoscope.

My little boy (16 months) started in October. He’s had a tough 6 months with not just lockdown but also major surgery in the summer which made him very wary of people he didn’t know and new settings. The staff at Kaleidoscope Drighlington have been amazing. He settled within a couple of weeks and runs
in every morning smiling and comes out smiling. The communication with parents is outstanding and I would highly recommend the nursery to all my friends and family. The staff really do go above and beyond for the children.

I wanted to share my appreciation of how amazing the nursery has been in helping my little boy settle in over his first 4 months. We only started using the nursery during Covid times so I hope when others read this review they remember this, as the service we have received during a global pandemic has
been exceptional. They have communicated extremely well with us with during this time and made us feel safe sending our boy each day. We receive daily updates and pictures each week of how he is progressing, which makes our day! Little things like being welcomed at the door on his 2nd morning with staff remembering his name, reassured me that we made the correct decision joining this Nursery. I can’t thank the staff enough for what they have done for us and our boy, and we look forward hopefully to a better 2021 knowing our boy is loving each day and growing up in a fantastic place! Thank you!

Both my son and daughter absolutely love their time at nursery, both are always happy to go in and come out even happier, usually covered in paint and muck after their day of adventure and fun.
I couldn’t imagine ever using another nursery. The staff are fabulous and work so hard to make it a wonderful
place. I can go to work knowing they are happy and settled, you couldn’t ask for more.

The staff at the nursery have gone above and beyond this year. They always put the children first and will ensure their happiness is their number one priority. When lockdown hit they did everything in their power to ensure the children came first and were settled and happy. My boys have loved being
there. My eldest (now at school) still talks about being in blue room and my youngest runs in without waving bye to us and leaves with a huge smile on his face. That speaks volumes. They really know the children they work with and will create activities based on what the children are interested in. Thank you.

My child has been going since he was 6 months old and I always recommend this nursery to everyone that asks. All the staff are lovely and do the best job with my son and all the other children. So thank you to all the staff so much for being a big part in my son's early years of his life and helping
him become the happiest little boy ever.

Drighlington Kaleidoscope Nursery has been exceptional in every single aspect of our child’s care. All the way from the admin side of things through to drop-off and pick up at school, nothing is too much trouble for them.
My daughter has attended the nursery since a toddler and is now attending the
out of school club. She utterly loves the place and the staff. So much so that she not only requested that she be picked up from school by them every day, but also that she preferred to go to the holiday club during half-term, rather than days out with her parents!
The staff are friendly and approachable, and their care and love towards the children is obvious to see. Despite the issues that the Covid-19 pandemic caused, they have never once complained or moaned about the situation, they have simply taken the challenge head-on and found ways to work around the issues. The level of care and support they managed to provide during this difficult time was extraordinary.

After this year being the way it has, the staff welcomed our daughter, who had never attended a nursery before, amazingly a few weeks before starting school and she settled in lovely and now goes to after school club which she absolutely loves. Our little boy also goes two days a week which at first
was heartbreaking after lockdown and him not seeing anyone yet they have been brilliant with him as it’s taken a few months for him to settle in but now he seems to be loving it and as parents, we are really happy that we chose Kaleidoscope. Thank you to you all for being supportive through lockdown and for caring for the kids like they’re all your own.

It is difficult to sum up what makes Kaleidoscope Drighlington the perfect nursery. Whilst everything is 'Excellent' I think there are two things that really stand out. Firstly it is so very obvious that each member of staff is so committed to working with children, I really don't think I have ever
seen any staff that aren't 100% focussed on what is going on in the room. That means so much as a parent and is so reassuring. The second stand out point is how effective the leadership team behind the scenes are. The commitment to continually grow and develop is truly inspiring. Top-down genuine care and love for what is in the children's best interests is not something you see often... but we have seen it consistently since we transferred our child here nearly two years ago. Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, they have fully supported parents and staff and have ensured they have done all they can do. I have nothing but praise for everyone who is part of the team. Thank you.

I was so nervous about returning back to work after having my baby. I just couldn't imagine leaving my baby with anyone and them doing exactly what I was doing at home. I gave all my details about how and what I was doing at home and they took note of every single detail I wished them to. It took
a bit of getting used to leaving my baby with someone else but I am so so happy I chose Kalidescope to look after my child they care so much for each and every child and I can see that in every room my child went in. He is currently in koosh and he absolutely loves it. My second baby is currently in attending and he also loves it and has grown a very strong bond with his current key worker and feels very comfortable in the nursery setting. I have already recommended kaleidoscope to a friend and she moved her child from another nursery to here and said it was the right decision to move and now sends her second child. Love this place. Massive thank you once again to ALL the staff.

Both of my children have attended Kaleidoscope Nursery and I have recommended this setting to my friends who have been equally impressed with the level of care shown to the children. They have recently received a well deserved outstanding Ofsted Grading. I would say to anyone that’s looking for childcare
to go for a visit and meet the staff who I’m sure will make you feel at ease and comfortable with what is a daunting task.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.094)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.094) out of 10 for Muddy Boots Nursery (Drighlington) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.969 for Muddy Boots Nursery (Drighlington) is calculated as follows: ( (93 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.969
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.125 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Muddy Boots Nursery (Drighlington) is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 123 number of registered child places is 24.6. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 24.6 = 0.325
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
