The staff have been exceptionally supportive and encouraging, and in the recent hot weather, have endeavoured to stay open which has been greatly appreciated . The outdoor nature and green surrounding area of the nursery is also fantastic. the activities and encouragement for various learning skills are excellent .We feel extremely lucky to have been able to send our son to this nursery.

Lovely pre school. My LO is certainly very happy there. Staff are great and go out of their way to make sure the children are happy. Boogy beats day is a favourite for my little one. Meadowside is also in a great location, as it's next to the infant school.

I love my experience with Meadowside thus far. My child who is still non verbal comes out of Meadowside and smiles and laughs in the car ride home so I'm taking this reaction as she likes it here. She's probably not the easiest child to look after being non verbal (possibly Sen) but the staff here...
My child since starting here has really started trying to talk and I believe being around all the other children and watching has been massively beneficial. I look forward to another 2 years at Meadowside before little one starts school.

My little boy has been going here since last September and we love it. The staff are amazing, all of them are attentive, kind and patient. Information sharing is amazing, we get so much information about his day, both at the gate and through the communication app. Activities seem varied, including lots of outdoor play, scavenger hunting, sports and exploring. Indoor play often includes structured learning like numbers, letters, and healthy foods. I like the support with teeth cleaning at the moment. But also lots of fun, with dancing and music. We love it, can stress enough how kind and supportive the staff are.

Meadowside is an excellent preschool with excellent staff all three of my grandchildren have attended. There is good communication and how the children are doing. The staff are great at finding out individual children's needs.

My son loves Meadowside. The staff are amazing, super supportive. The outdoor meadow is massive and shady in the summer and he loves playing out there. Great to have football classes once a week and school lunches for a hot meal. Can't recommend it enough!

I have sent two of my children to meadowside pre school now before starting their school journeys. I can honestly say I've always been so happy! My youngest daughter has special needs and the staff have been nothing but amazing with supporting me and her on her hearing journey and making sure she gets the extra support she needs before she starts school in September. The children are always doing fun and educational activities every day and my daughter LOVES attending pre school which is always a great relief as a working parent when sending them.

My daughter has only been at Meadowside Preschool for a few weeks but has settled in so well, thanks to the efforts of the team. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The space is well set up for the group, with an outdoor classroom and a field which they seem to really enjoy running around in. Would definitely recommend based on our experience so far!

I cannot recommend this preschool enough! It makes me sad that this will be my child's last year here as he is moving to Reception. He gets excited to go there everyday and that as a parent is what you want. The staff have helped and advised on how to assist his progress with his speech to ensure we as new parents are assisted as he has struggled with this. The staff are lovely and do their utmost to help your child feel comfortable and their progression, their communication is excellent! The updates and detail on the app daily are brilliant to keep you in the loop with your child's day. The setting is wonderful, I went to view other preschool prior to Meadowside and found Meadowside to be the most fulfilling, it has lots of space and a real happy feeling. The activities the children do daily are endless, and my child has brought home little cakes he has made/art etc, the little goodie bag he came home with at Christmas was especially lovely. I can only say I wish he attended sooner!

Bridie is a passionate leader who has worked for YMCA Dulverton Group for nearly 9 years. During this time, she started as a practitioner and has worked her way up to manager.
Bridie took over the leadership and management of Meadowside in January 2025. Since doing so, she has been an inspiration to the staff and a huge support to the families and children. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and this is reflected in the care and dedication of the team.
