Day Nurseries Owned by Spring by Action for Children in Tyne & Wear

Spring Nursery has been amazing when introducing my 10 month old to nursery. It took a little bit of time for her to settle in but the staff were very patient and kind. My daughter has now settled in really well and I have no worries when dropping her off. The staff are responsive and obviously care about the children in their care.

"Starting nursery was a big step for our family, and the team made the transition so much easier. They were patient, supportive, and kept us well-informed throughout the settling-in period. Our little one now skips through the doors every morning excited to see their friends and teachers. We love the variety of activities they do, from outdoor play to creative arts."

Chose Spring Nursery as it was local and because they offered a Montessori nursery style as we wanted child-led learning for our daughter to help with independence and provide hands-on activities and we're so delighted to have chosen Spring. We can see our daughters confidence grow each week and we truly can't thank the staff enough for how amazing they are, In particular Susan and Layna (who my daughter adores) for making everything easy for us parents to be confident our daughter is getting the best service possible for her development. Highly recommend.

Our nursery is wonderful we were so nervous abour putting him into nursery and these guys have made it so easy. The staff are lovely and caring and our little one is settling in well. We get updates all the time and just received a very indepth report on little ones development. Hes doing things at Nursery he doesnt do at home!!

Well done all x

the staff have been so attentive with our child and kept us well informed through the famly app. really pleases with our choice of nursery.

Can't praise them enough, thank you all.

Overall a good nursery, most staff are wonderful so friendly and welcoming. Certain areas of the nursery I would disagree with poor hygiene etc but is a basic nursery. Written targets are always done well and explained thorough which gives a good insight of how your child is developing and socially interacting. Management team is wonderful and all problems dealt with immediately

Fantastic staff who all do a wonderful job, our daughter loves going and it has brought her on leaps and bounds. Staff go out of their way to make sure kids have the best time whilst also learning and developing.

Took my son from September start to December to fully settle, but usually once he was in he was absolutely fine. And since Xmas 2025 to now may 2026 he absolutely flourishes in there on the 3 days he goes. He's the most social and friendly boy and he has no issues coming into nursery or pick ups.

The staff have always been so accommodating with my son and us as parents when needed. They're all super friendly and attentive couldn't recommend them enough if you're in the area. I know he'll for sure miss this place once he starts school nursery in September coming. I'll also definitely be sending my two younger children once they turn 2 also.

My daughter is almost 3 years old and has been at Spring Nursery since she was about one. She has learned so much and amazes me every day. She can string together 3-5 word sentences, count, say the days of the week, and recite stories and songs. Her confidence and independence, compared to when she started, have been remarkable, all thanks to the nursery staff's hard work and commitment. My daughter has built a fantastic relationship with her key workers and the nursery staff. Her key workers have been so supportive and attentive, and if I needed some tips, they were knowledgeable and approachable. All the staff are friendly too. My daughter really enjoys her time at nursery and likes to speak about her day, and talks about her peers and says their names. I recommended the nursery to my sister, and her daughter also attends and enjoys it.

I had a really hard time leaving my 1yo daughter at nursery when she started as she was in the midst of separation anxiety having never been away from me and I was just returning to work after 14 months off which is a challenge in itself. There were many tears from both of us during those first weeks and Spring Leam Lane were so very supportive and reassuring with us. The manager is just lovely and always takes the time to check in on her and give me updates. She's in her 6th week now and is settling in a bit more each week, now she knows the staff and has developed relationships with them she has started to have more fun at nursery, which is easing my anxiety as well. I'm thankful for the staff for being patient with us, through our tears and 1000 questions! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, really! :)

On top of this, the toys and activities they do are fantastic and the food menu is so varied, my daughter loves mealtimes at nursery. She is so well cared for. Thank you!

My eldest daughter started in the inventors room and moved into the navigators which she left last year to start big school. My youngest started in October last year in the explorers room. Throughout our time at Spring I have never had any complaints with any of the rooms. Staff are always welcoming and are very good at communicating with you on drop off and pick up even if it gets busy they still have time to tell you how the children have been throughout the day. My eldest still says she misses the nursery and the staff very much.

I honestly can't put into words how much I love this nursery. My eldest went here and now my youngest does too and it has been the best decision for both of my girls. The difference in my little one since she started is amazing. Her talking, her confidence, making friends, counting and most of all her happiness have come on so much.

She built the loveliest bond with her key worker straight away and even plays nursery at home which tells me she feels safe and happy there. The staff treat the children like their own. They are so kind, patient and genuinely caring.

The kids think they are just playing all day but the things she is learning honestly blow me away. My little girl is only two and already learning days of the week, seasons, letters, numbers, the weather and so much more.

They are always easy to talk to and I have never once felt worried leaving my daughter. I recommend them to everyone I know and could not speak highly enough of them.

My little boy has attended since September 2025 and has always struggled with drop off - the staff at Spring have been fantastic with him, persistent and understanding. They took a soft approach and now my little boy walks in quite happy, on his own and has such a good time there.

The staff have also been caring and compassionate towards myself and have made letting go of my little boy, a lot easier. They're always warm and welcoming!

Our daughter attends Spring and has done for around a year now. Her development has came on so much since starting there. The staff genuinely care about the children and this is visible whenever we are in the building. They build lovely trusting relationships with the children and parents/carers. Wouldn't send my daughter anywhere else.

Spring nursery has been absolutely amazing for me and my little girl. I really struggled with child care and didn't know where to start but the staff helped me so much. After a bit of a rough start(tears at drop off and pick up) she is now all settled in and is loving it and they are really good at updating you and reassuring that you little one is ok. honestly can't thank the staff enough.

Excellent nursery, I go to work reassured that my daughter is in safe capable hands. The staff are brilliant and communicate well. She has come on leaps and bounds in the last year. I would recommend this nursery to everyone

I cannot thank spring nursery staff enough for all their help. It took my daughter quite a while to adjust to nursery with her always being with me. Staff worked with me and my daughter with their best interest for us both. They truly went above and beyond. My daughter absolutely loves it now and it's brought her out so much, she's much more confident and her speaking has came along great. I love seeing/ hearing what she's been up to at nursery. Every day is different with so many activities which my daughter thoroughly enjoys! The staff and children are so all lovely. Absolutely fantastic nursery!

My child loves coming here, the staff are very good at making the children feel welcome at all times. The only "gripes" I have is, when the staff rock up to work 2 minutes before they are suppose to start. It doesn't look great from a parents perspective.

Secondly the amount of different illnesses the children are allowed to attend nursery with is unbelievable. My child is permanently coming home with different illnesses caught from another child at nursery. I understand this is a blanket policy. This really needs to be looked at again as this affects the parents if it spreads in each house hold.
