Celebrating 35 years of Childbase at Woodberry Day Nursery

Festivities were well underway at Woodberry Day Nursery in Winchmore Hill as children and colleagues marked 35 years of Childbase Partnership with a week of celebrations. At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Church Hill, staff teams decorated the setting with balloons, bunting and backdrops for the occasion, whilst delighted children showcased their creativity by making ‘35’ themed arts and crafts, before enjoying a fun-filled afternoon, complete with music, dancing and party games, as well as a special lunch. During their breaks, devoted colleagues were delighted to take part in games to win cash prizes, before enjoying a pizza and popcorn party, as well as sweet treats of bespoke cupcakes and pick ‘n’ mix stations, all whilst reminiscing over their favourite memories across the years, from family fundraising events to company festivals and balls. As part of the festivities, staff were able to take part in a company-wide prize giveaway, with Woodberry colleagues winning treats including beauty boxes, cheese hampers and Perkbox points to exchange for shopping vouchers, wellbeing subscriptions and other benefits. Over the years, Woodberry have received numerous ‘Outstanding’ judgements from Ofsted, as well as helping to raise tens of thousands of pounds for worthy causes including CRUK, Mind and Bliss, contributing to the 3.5 million plus figure raised by Childbase Partnership for charity, as well as being the proud holders of a host of accolades, including the prestigious Green Flag with Distinction from Eco-Schools for their environmental efforts. Woodberry Day Nursery Manager; Sean Crowley-Smith explained; “We are proud to be celebrating the incredible milestone that is 35 years of Childbase Partnership. We have had a fantastic time marking the occasion with the children and are hugely grateful to our colleagues for their continued dedication and passion in helping provide our families with the best Early Years journey.
