My little boy has recently start attending Rand Farm Park Day Nursery in the baby room and I am so pleased with how the staff look after him! He had never been away from before he started attending so it was very new and quite distressing for us both but the staff have been amazing at settling him and
also reassuring me at any time that I need.
The food is exceptional and he eats like a king when there and the fact that everything is included really takes the pressure off me having to sort it around work.
The access to the farm and play areas is also a huge bonus and a different learning experience that you can’t get in other child care settings and the fact that the children are taken outside regularly is a really brilliant factor.
Overall, I cannot fault this nursery, I feel at ease knowing my son is well looked after and comforted whenever he needs to be as well as having loads of fun and really good food!

The nursery setting is lovely. The staff are great and the management is brilliant.
Senior management outside the actual setting are constantly changing the rules and are not as helpful as those who actually work on-site.

My little girl has been coming to Rand Farm since she was 10 months old and she’s just moved into toddler room now aged 2.
The staff are very accommodating and always made her feel relaxed even when at times there have been some emotional drop-offs.
As parents we love to pick her up and see her happy
face and hear all about her days at Rand Farm.
She has developed so much and her confidence has improved since she has been coming to Rand Farm.
I would like to thank all the staff in the baby room and the pre-toddler room for being so amazing with her. Special thanks to four members of staff in particular for always having a huge smile on your faces and taking such good care of my little one. I know she will miss every single one of you, thank you all.

Amazing staff and setting. Want a nursery with a family feeling this is certainly the place to be. My child has been here since baby room and now in preschool and the transition from room to room has been amazing and if we have had any issues the management have been A* at dealing with this.

Leaving your child in a childcare setting is never easy for a parent. However, Rand Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School is not just a setting - it is a family. My child is so happy here - his interests are explored and developed. His learning experiences fill him with awe and wonder. He regularly visits
the farm and the animals, learning about responsibility at such a young age. As a mini-farmer, he goes to the woods on regular visits, taken by the tractor and trailer. The staff at Rand always go the extra mile. They really care. I am incredibly happy leaving my child at nursery, knowing his day will probably be far better than mine!

My little boy goes to Rand Farm Nursery and I can’t wait to send my little girl when she is a bit older!
My son struggles being left with anyone but his granny but the team were so good and he settled in really quickly! He now can’t wait to go in the morning. He has an amazing time and goes around
the farm nearly every morning he is in. Seeing the positive effect this nursery has had is heartwarming.
The staff are very friendly and so understanding about everything. I could not rate the nursery higher and would recommend to anyone!

I have two daughters at Rand Farm Nursery and they are always so accommodating to us. My eldest has always struggled when being dropped off and the pre school staff are always very supportive and settle her down very quickly.


My youngest has just started and is in the baby room. The baby staff always

give me a lovely handover and do not mind me phoning in the day to check in on how her morning has been. My daughter has a few health concerns and the staff have all been quick to learn and ensure they know how to support her when and if needed.


We have loved our experiences here so far and love what the nursery has to offer.

Our daughter loves coming to Rand Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School! She settled straight away in the baby room with no tears. She now gets excited as soon as we pull onto the drive singing “iya quack quacks” or “E-I-E-I-O”. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The online portal and communication
are amazing. I love being able to drop her off and pick her up within her room and share her nursery environment with her. They are very inclusive and cater for dietary requirements and individual preferences. The activities and resources are child-friendly and engaging. They use lots of natural materials and sensory play for open-ended experiences. She loves visiting the animals on the farm. It really is above and beyond what you would expect for a nursery!

Absolutely amazing nursery, fantastic staff who are very good at putting you at ease when my little boy started. Staff are great at listening to my worries and am able to share any information and feel supported. My little boy loves coming here and feels the experience he gets here is far better than

My little one has been attending nursery since he was 3 months old. He absolutely adores the girls in his room. To see him develop over the last few months is amazing he’s got such a good bond with each staff member in there and you can see how well they have cared for him from such a young age.

is absolutely phenomenal. She goes above and beyond for the baby room and you can really see the passion she has for the babies! They absolutely adore her. She will always remember everything I’ve told her about my son each week, and will always reassure me that he does enjoy attending, I love getting regular updates and even paintings which he has done too.
I look forward to seeing him progress throughout the nursery. And I don’t regret for one minute taking him so young to nursery as he’s absolutely thriving and it’s all down to the love and care they provide.

Rand Farm Park Day Nursery is simply wonderful. Staff just care so much about the children and always make your experience at drop-off and pick-up feel personal, giving lots of time to talk about your child and their day. They always have such a great selection of activities out for the children to

My daughter has attended Rand Farm Park Day Nursery for over a year and a half and has received nothing but outstanding care. The experiences and facilities they make use of there surprise me still and I can’t imagine a better nursery. The staff went out of their way to keep a food diary for her for
several months when I was advised to do so which I’m very grateful for. It is lovely to see the updates of what my daughter gets up to on the app as well as a verbal report every day. I’m always amazed that they get to attend the seasonal special events that draw in paying visitors to the farm such as the Easter and dinosaur experiences. She has learned so much and has so much confidence thanks to nursery and I can’t wait to sign up my next child.

We are coming to my son's final week at Rand after three amazing years. I honestly would have Rand as my first pref nursery, even if we lived further away. The staff are fantastic and very engaged with the children. A fantastic nursery for high-energy, outdoor kids like my son.
He has thrived at Rand,
and we are both very sad to be graduating this summer.

Both of my children now attend this nursery and both absolutely love it. Our oldest asks every morning to go and will be so sad to leave (when he has to go to school).
My boys are in the baby room and preschool room and all of the staff are fantastic. They provide so much love and care for the children
and as a parent - that makes me feel so happy knowing my boys are truly cared for and loved. All staff including the manager are always happy to talk and always take the time to speak. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone.

This setting is an amazing setting in every way from their Ethos and the lengths they go to to make not just the children but their parents feel comfortable, my daughter has thrived since starting the setting and it's all down to the staff and her interaction with the Farm. Their rooms are beautiful
and we love the Natural resource and how they encourage her to use her imagination and as we know a young childs imagination is endless cannot rate the setting enough.

My 2-year-old son attends this nursery and I cannot praise this setting enough. He never wanted to come home when I come to collect, which just proves to the level of care he receives is 2nd to none. The staff are all just brilliant with all the children and I love seeing how they are with all the children.
I have never been happier with a setting and I would recommend this nursery to all my friends. My son has really come on leaps and bounds since being at Rand. So thank you to all the staff at Rand.

You know, when we first looked at bringing you a ‘Meet the Team’ segment over the Summer holidays, it never dawned on me that I’d have to write something about myself!


Don’t worry, there won’t be any “I like to take long walks on the beach” or “My favourite colour is…”


So, hello, I’m Sarah… the one who loves to jump in and help with the rooms, bring all of the messy, paint and wet play out and then be ‘called away for something’ leaving the rest of the team to clean up the mess?


When I first saw the yet-to-open Nursery was advertising for vacancies in 2019 I thought; A) Why can’t I be a kid again growing up and learning on a farm? Where do I apply?


At the time I was currently studying for my degree but jumped at the opportunity to join what is, truly, an amazing Nursery setting.


Since then, over the last three years, I have completed my degree, became Room Leader, Deputy Manager and now Nursery Manager.


Last weekend, Myself, Lucy and especially Holly, said a very teary goodbye to some of our Pre-Schoolers. Some of these amazing little humans were just babies when I started my adventure here at the Nursery and if I’m asked what my greatest achievement here is I, can hand-on-heart say, it’s every single one of the children I will miss terribly when they move on up into Big School
(It’s always harder to talk about yourself isn’t it, sorry!)?


Next week will be Lucy P. If you don’t know who Lucy is you 100% would have heard her – even from the car park.

Many of you will know me as the one who embarrassingly cried her eyes out during our recent Pre-School Graduation!

Lots of these (so very nearly) big school-ready children have been there by my side through toddlers and now preschool and have helped me develop and grow over the years.


I’m so proud of how far they’ve all come on their journey in life and I wish them all the very best!


I’m very lucky to have had the amazing opportunity of being here from the very start, helping to frantically build nursery furniture and set up our rooms ready to nervously open the doors back in September 2019, which then came back around again earlier this year when I was doing the exact same thing when we opened the purpose-built Pre-School!

Let me just start by saying; Hey I’m Phoebe!
Some of you may recognise me as the lunchtime cover in Pre-school for the last 6 months, but you’re now looking at the new Baby Room Leader and I’m beyond ecstatic to start in my new position.


So here goes a little bit about me… I’ve had the pleasure of working in childcare for 8 years and the best part about it is not just the obvious cuddles, laughter and craziness with the children but watching/supporting them conquer the things they didn’t know were possible.
If you happen to cross paths with me in the Nursery, I will be the one walking around with a crazy foam beard or busting some awesome dance moves or, the usual for me is walking around in an inflatable cow costume... But please say hi I’m super friendly.


If you happen to see me on the farm I’m probably the one giving the cows a big cuddle but, 7 months ago before I started working here, that never would have been me as I was scared of anything bigger than a rabbit haha!


Growing up I never really visited farms, so this was all new to me but most definitely wasn’t an opportunity I was going to throw away.


Working in the Nursery and on the farm has shown me the importance of child interactions with animals and how they teach children to be patient and have responsibility for others as well as how it advances their confidence and self-esteem.

Even on my days off you’re bound to see me taking my two children to Rand Farm Park and telling them everything I have learnt about the animals I’ve grown to love.

Hello, I’m Holly E a preschool practitioner and wellness ambassador here at Rand Farm Nursery!


Most of you will know me as tall Holly, but I have had the pleasure of working in the preschool room for over/around a year and a half now!


I have been so fortunate to have been here for lots of the nursery’s milestones like when we launched our mini farmer's programme, opened our amazing new preschool room and our very first preschool graduation (which I still haven’t stopped crying over!)


A little bit about me… I love everything to do with animals and self-care! My ideal day would be something along the lines of puppy yoga or sunbathing in a field with some cows! I love being outdoors and trying new things, from kayaking in the Lake District to snorkelling with turtles in Mexico, I will try absolutely anything!
I am really fortunate to be able to express my love for wellness through my wellness ambassador role too. I always try to have my positive pants on and draw the best out of anyone that surrounds me, including the children! So, if your child comes home insisting you do cat and cow yoga or talking about blowing up a balloon in their belly as a breathing technique, my apologies that’s my fault!!

Kayleigh: Senior Practitioner
Hello, you’ll probably hear me before seeing me but if you’ve seen me around and don’t know my name… I’m Kayleigh.


I “work” in the under twos department and I’m a senior practitioner based in the Pre-Toddler Room. As soon as I was qualified for college, I wasted no time and jumped straight into my career! I currently hold a level 3 in childcare and children’s education which was hard work but gosh is it worth it!

Working with our little people is so personally rewarding in many ways!


Being a part of their little journey and helping them along the way, being able to see them grow into the beautiful little people they are/turning into! Not to mention all the cuddles and hearing how many different ways my name’s apparently pronounced (kiwi is currently my personal favourite)!

As well as spending time with our dinky darlings, I get to see the lovely ladies at Rand too! They never fail to make me smile or laugh, the lovely family bond we have is like no other workplace!


A little about me… Just like at work, I like to stay busy in my free time too and will say yes to any type of trip! Anything to get me out of the house really ?????
Whilst I’m young and without any babies of my own, I turn most of my Friday or Saturday nights into nights out and love a good boogie! (Not on a school night though)?


I have a little Russian Hamster called Obi (Star Wars nerd alert) and two border terriers called Max and Penny. My fur babies are my world and couldn’t imagine life without them around! I’m a bit of an adrenaline junky, totally obsessed with rollercoasters, theme parks, water parks, and anything to do with heights really! I’m not really scared of many things but tell me I need an injection or blood test and I’ll cry my eyes out ??! Oh, I’m petrified of Mr Blobby, he’s a big no thank you!
To wrap it up, childcare is the only career I’ve ever wanted to excel in, my journey at Rand has 100% allowed me to do so! I’m super grateful to be a part of our fab team and to be a part of all your little people’s childhood!

Hello, I'm Emily and I am the Pre-School Senior.
Believe it or not but I actually grew up on a farm myself so being involved with farm life, welcoming a new life into the world and getting stuck is almost second nature to me.


So, when I saw the Nursery was opened in 2019 I didn’t hesitate to apply.


Sharing my upbringing and educating young children on nature, animals, care and getting stuck in is something I am not only incredibly proud of but something I love to do.


Outside of the Nursery, I like to make precious memories for my daughter and family and have recently started more adventurous activities such as Kayaking! I’ve always said no to riding the Skyrider at Rand Farm Park but, seeing as everyone in this building is an adrenaline junkie, maybe one of the girls could ‘push me’? ??
