Rand Farm Park Day Nursery and Pre-school is an outstanding, supportive and nurturing learning environment. The staff at Rand are all exceptionally friendly and the dedicated inclusive collaborative team effort makes all stakeholders feel part of the Rand family. All the staff are highly-skilled in
their understanding of child development and regularly communicate the progress my daughter is making under their care and guidance. My daughter has been attending Rand Farm Park since just over 6 months old. She has achieved enormous milestones with huge support from the nursery practitioners at Rand farm and subsequently as parents we are incredibly proud of the well-rounded, confident and happy 3 year old she is today. I am most impressed by how the engaging and varied pre-school programme is able to build foundational capabilities like independence, empathy, communication, and early literacy/numeracy, whilst remaining fun and enjoyable thereby preparing her for life at school and beyond.

Very happy with Rand Farm nursery, staff are conscientious and professional. They answer questions quickly and helpfully. Our lad settled well after his first week we were kept informed of his settling in progress throughout the early stages and he seems to be well settled now. He genuinely seems happy
to attend.

My second child has been attending Rand Farm for the past year and she's absolutely loved it. As parents we've loved seeing her thrive everyday and learn more and more. All the careers in both rooms are absolutely wonderful. They care for the children as if they are their own and I have no worries leaving
my little one with them.
We highly recommend Rand Farm!!

Little has been at the nursery since babies but has recently moved to the pre-school room. The transition has been wonderful, the staff in the room have really helped LO settle and he is very much enjoying himself that he runs into nursery with a big smile on his face. The nursery is fantastic with
all the activities they prepare and trips to the farm. The food options are lovely with plenty of thought behind them All the staff are really caring and would recommend to anyone.

Our son has been at Rand since he was just 9 months old, starting in the baby room, moving through pre-toddler, and now happily settled in the toddler room, which really says it all.
From the very beginning, his development has come on in leaps and bounds, and his confidence has absolutely blossomed
since starting nursery.
He's formed the loveliest bonds with the nursery team in every room he's been in, as well as the office staff - it's so clear how cared for and valued he is.
Every member of staff is genuinely kind, attentive and nurturing, and as parents they've made us feel completely relaxed and reassured leaving him in their care.
We couldn't have asked for a better start for him. A truly wonderful 5 star nursery - thank you all so much for everything you do.

My son started nursery in January 2026 and I was worried about leaving him all day. The ladies in the baby room made me feel so comfortable leaving him with them and they update me throughout the day through the app and they tell me all about his day when I pick him up. It puts me at ease to know he's
having a wonderful time and he' s always so smiley when I drop him off and pick him up.

We joined the Rand Farm Park day nursery a pre school family setting in September 2025 after moving to the area.
My little boy was 2yrs old and settled in very quickly.
Since his successful settling in period he's has always been happy to go to nursery. All of the staff from all of the rooms all
the way to management are caring, helpful experienced people.
It is such a welcoming and inclusive setting, with stimulating activities and fantastic access for the children to the Rand Farm facilities.
They have had a real positive impact on his development in every way from being more confident, speech and potty training. They support his individual needs and dietary requirements without any problems.
They are always on hand for advice and are committed to working with you to give your little one the best start in life.
I believe it's very important for children to be children, they have the right balance between development focus and playing.
I would 100% recommend this setting.

We couldn't ask for a more wonderful nursery. The staff are amazing and truly go above and beyond in every situation. We love that the children go outside frequently, have regular access to the farm, and that they learn through the little jobs they get to do there. It really couldn't be more perfect.

What a fantastic environment for the children to learn both educational and social skills.
The staff are always friendly and genuinely enjoy being part of the children's development. A full update is given each day as to the activities your little one has taking part in. Activities are well thought
out and relevant to the age groups the children are in. I think it's marvellous that the children also learn sign language.
Being on a farm, the children also get to spend time outside with the animals.
From the time we first visited Rand Farm Park, we were convinced this was the environment we wanted our grandson to be in. We have not been disappointed. A fantastic nursery that we would 100% recommend.

What an amazing nursery, very accommodating to every child and parents needs and progression route. The nursery have always been so supportive through every stage. The staff always go above and beyond everyday. We will be sending our next child here and recommend them to everyone. The experiences and
food options for the children are amazing, I honestly wish I was there to enjoy a day for myself sometimes, rather than being at work. We are always updated with pictures, their daily updates, food diaries, nappy changes/toilet visits, new skills learned and focus areas. Our boy is currently in the toddler room and started the nursery when he was 9 months old, every single staff member makes an effort with him and he talks about them all when he gets home and how excited he is to see them and his friends in the morning. The team are an absolute honour and we appreciate you all. Thank you for making ours and Sam's experience so special.

The people here have created a beautifully inclusive atmosphere here. Everyone is incredibly friendly and caring and absolutely wonderful with the children. From the moment my daughter had her settling in sessions I had full confidence in this setting and their abilities in looking after my child. The
activities are planned thoughtfully and provide a brilliant education for even the babies who attend. Being on the farm also provides a unique and fantastic experience for the children!

The nursery is a warm and welcoming environment, creating a truly positive and friendly environment for our child. All the staff show an abundance of care and support, creating a warm, nurturing environment and one which our child looks forward to attending. His key worker has been particularly brilliant
supporting him to become more confident in group settings and is positively contributing to and supporting his development, she has made a really positive impact on him and his nursery experience.

My little one started Rand after a terrible experience at another nursery. From his first day the change in him was amazing, no more screaming for two hours before nursery, happy and excited even travelling an hour to get there and now desperate to go even on his days off. The staff are amazing, always
approachable, kind, and eager to be involved with the children. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are always smiling as much at the beginning of the day as they are at the end. The facilities and environment is fantastic for the development of little brains and they maximise every opportunity to learn children new things. The staff work so hard to make every day special for the children and both my son and me appreciate everything they all do. It is also important to note the amazing management staff who have made this nursery what it is. Without their vision, hard work and determination the nursery would simply not be the same. Thank you everyone for everything you do everyday!!

My granddaughter had a bad start in life. We found the nursery by chance and never looked back the whole team have supported both and our granddaughter so much when she started she lacked confidence in herself and struggled with standing up unaided or walking. In the 10 months she has been there she
has grown in confidence so much that now she is running about happily.

The service we get is excellent all members of staff treat you like a friend always saying hello and like having a good chat. The report we get from the staff to tell us what our child has done is excellent. I have nothing to complain about the place is brilliant, my child comes home tired and very
happy and can't wait for the next day to go back. The food the children get is excellent, there are offers a great different range. I am so glad we found this place as it is amazing and the way the staff helps your child with any problems they have like walking, potty training speech, numbers, colours, etc.

Both my children have been at Rand Farm Park Day Nursery and Pre-school from 4 months old. My eldest is currently in pre school now. My 3 and a half years as a Rand Farm nursery parent has been truly incredible. You are made to feel like you and your children are part of one big family. I can't express
how much I would recommend Rand Farm Nursery, both my children are thriving and everyone at Rand Nursery has had a helping hand in that.
The animals, home cooked food, soft play, outdoor play, tractor rides and so much more is just the added bonus to what is an amazing place.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.966)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.966) out of 10 for Rand Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 47 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.966 for Rand Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School is calculated as follows: ( (545 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 563 Ratings = 4.966
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rand Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 104 number of registered child places is 20.8, which has been reached with 47 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Observing the meaningful interactions between staff and children, and the positive impact these relationships have on children’s confidence, learning, and wellbeing, is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.

Our unique farm setting provides rich, hands-on learning opportunities that support children’s curiosity and connection with the natural world. Being based on the farm allows children to explore, learn through real-life experiences, and develop a strong sense of respect for nature, animals, and the environment, with support from their educators and the team of farmers here at Rand.

Building strong partnerships with parents and carers is central to our ethos. We actively promote an open-door approach and value open communication, ensuring families feel supported and involved in their child’s learning journey.
