Kids Planet Waterfront gives childcare and early educational learning to children up to the age of 5 in Brierley Hill.

The nursery offers children an environment which is cosy and stimulating where they can learn and interact with their peers.

Staff at the nursery are warm and loving and are passionate about caring for young children and ensure they feel happy and nurtured. The staff are all qualified up to Level 3 in Childcare or are in the process of studying for the qualification.

Outdoor learning is an important element at the nursery. Both the indoor and the outdoor spaces are well thought out and reviewed on a regular basis to make sure they offer a host of learning opportunities.

My daughter has just completed her last day at this nursery and what an emotional day it was!
Since starting in February, my daughter has been fortunate enough to experience nothing less than outstanding childcare.
She has developed her writing and reading skills but also her social skills and has
developed the confidence to interact with other children, all thanks to the efforts of the team. I am extremely grateful to the team's diligence and feel their support has prepared my daughter for her new journey at school.
Whilst I would recommend the nursery and gladly compliment all the staff, a few, in particular, stood out as being truly exceptional and really are an invaluable asset to the nursery.
Management is excellent, with effective communication and always very responsive to requests/queries.
Childcare is, of course, a very personal choice, however, I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a professional, nurturing environment for their child.

It's my son's first experience of nursery and 'being away from mommy' the staff have been lovely to both me and my son, very reassuring, warm and friendly making this important step in my son's life as easy and enjoyable as possible!

By far the best nursery in Dudley. All the staff are approachable and friendly. Feedback about the day is fantastic, we always know what the children have been learning. Communication is great if I have any queries or requests I always get a quick response. I feel my children are well cared for and
their individual needs are met.

My child started in April and loves going to nursery, he is always happy and talking about his experience there. My child’s confidence has grown so much from going to this nursery and his development has improved a lot.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

My son loves his new nursery, as do I. The staff are absolutely lovely and the facilities are really great. His confidence has really grown in the few weeks he's been attending and he gets excited about going there to see and play with his new friends. He loves to play in the shop and on the scooters

Friendly, polite staff and management.
Beautiful surroundings and excellent use of space, lots of variety of educational set up of role-play scenarios, to help aid development for the child.

Hannah

Hannah Mateer

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2021

I am Hannah Mateer, the manager for Kids Planet Waterfront. I have over 20 years of experience within the Early Years sector 11 years of which as a Nursery Manager. I started as a college student and worked my way up to management. I have completed my Early Years Foundation Degree and my Level 5 in Leadership and Management.

As a parent of 3 children myself, I can fully understand the emotions all parents go through leaving their little ones in other people’s care. As a Manager, I am here to fully support parents and staff in settling your little ones into the nursery and ensuring a smooth transition.

I am responsible for everything that happens in the nursery on a day-to-day basis and I am also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for safeguarding.

I thoroughly enjoy my role and love the variety each day brings, supporting staff and children. I am passionate about the importance of early education and the biggest privilege is being able to watch children thrive in their learning and development.
